So it leads to these other worlds. There could be lots of quests, going on missions for the GiBs. Also, they could add even more alien lifeforms. Like feline aliens or reptilian aliens. Or cow aliens. Yes. But while on the alien worlds, you couldn't get gold. Why would they have our coinage? No, you'd get their coins, which you could then trade for gold. I have a thought on this now but I need to consider it a bit more.... Oh, now that's an idea! Alien currency as zOMG Loot, which isn't much use unless you can somehow exchange it. Probably through Nicolae or some such. Okay.... We use Gold. And Gold's everywhere. What do the aliens use? they may or may not use gold, but it wouldn't be Gaian coinage. I see lots of potential for espionage and such. What if G Corp is willing to buy your alien coins because they are amassing currency in these other worlds as part of their effort to take over those worlds? What if they are secretly manipulating us to fight their battle for them? "Coinage" is a rather fallacious term. Gaia gold comes from nature already in "coin" form. Okay, money DOES help in conquering the world, but how the hell do you "buy" a planet? Specially when you do it by raiding the dead. Dead that you just murdered. Soldiers got to have a limit, and the military ranks would just eventually prohibit carrying currency when on a mission.

That's my favourite thing about Gaian Gold, actually. It may seem strange to us, but the Gaia Gold coin is really just a natural arrangement of energies.
Of course, it makes sense that things could occur similarly on other planets; much the same way that I've posed other planets have their own G'hi-analogs - the Zurg have Z'hi, the P3s have P'hi - they likely have Zold and Pold, as well (naturally, Zold is triangular). I don't know if Hivecritters are actually sentient, or if they're just some kind of interstellar locusts, but the original Hive world (remember, the Hive world we visit is actually the P3 home world) would probably have Hold (yeah, "H'hi" does sound good, either)...

They are secretly backing a small group of revolutionaries on the alien planets, and plan to use them as a puppet government when they win, giving g corp access to that planets wealth and power. The revolutionaries don't realize they will be double crossed when the time comes.
