Thirty minutes later after safely making her way to the protection of her dorm room at Crystal Academy, Fallon sat down to further examine the thing that she had fought for, the power that she felt destined to hold. The pale crystal felt lighter than she expected. Its surface was waxy too. In many ways, it was not how she anticipated a Rainbow Crystal to be, but the girl was too transfixed by the
idea of it to question much.
The entire way home, she had tried to find a way to use the power, but nothing had worked.
Now, in her civilian form, Fallon was turning the crystal over in her hands, dragging her fingers along its surface. Her nail caught on something. An imperfection? That didn't seem right. Fallon flicked on her table lamp and pulled a magnifying glass from the top drawer.
Magenta eyes narrowed to get a closer look. She brought the crystal inches from her eye, squinting through the magnifying glass. There, etched by a laser were the words:
MADE IN CHINA
The muscles in her arms flinched. Her knuckles turned white. The magnifying glass clattered to the desk, then to the floor. Ares stifled her scream in the back of her hand. She stood briskly and whipped the toy crystal against the wall. It shattered.
Without pause, Fallon transformed back into Ares and leapt out her bedroom window. If she didn't kill something and fast, the senshi was going to go insane. Zinkenite had tricked her.
It had all been a <******** trick.
