"It was not the best to be honest, but it's all fine now," Dema said, hoping to brush it off fairly quickly. The last thing she needed was Jake to think of her as damaged the way people in the hospital had. It was good that Ian had healed it, otherwise people would probably catch on that something was not right with her, but luckily, it was nothing she had to worry about unless her powers were used again.

Jake Middels "All because you got to see me right now, right?" he said conceitedly joking. It was his own way to prevent himself from asking more about it. He knew she was hiding something...but just not what it was. He figured she would openly tell him about it later, so he wouldn't press her to tell him. Everyone has things they don't wish to share with others....and for Jake, it would probably be how he lost his innocence as a child.....not something anyone needed to know about. He senses something, call it desperation

Dema's gaze had gone off into the distance, her mind wandering quickly from her body, so much that she missed Jake's question. Her face betrayed her slightly, showing that she was thinking of something unpleasant. She hated keeping anything from Jake, but knew that it was better to not touch that topic just yet.

Jake Middels "Aw you could at least humor me for a moment and say yes instead of spacing out on me...." Jake said giving her a joking pout. The more she did that the more he wanted to ask....but he reframed and figured he would try and at least get her to laugh a little. He looked over to where she was staring and didn't see anything. "You know watching a ghost strip didn't seem like it would be one of your hobbies..." he said continuing to look where she was and shrugged. He knew nothing was there and was kidding...he just wanted to see how she would react. He senses something, call it desperation

Demacame back to herself halfway through Jake's first statement, though she did not show it other than a blink. "You'd be the only living sould they'd have to show," she replied, still stony faced. She wanted to look at the scars, to make sure her life was not some cruel joke. She had several on her arms to prove that they were still there. Her past was not magically rewritten. "Sorry I got distracted," she said, returning her gaze to his eyes. "I accidentally used my powers on someone that I should not have," she told him. He had a rough idea of what she could do and admitting that she had royally screwed up to him was not something she took lightly.

Jake Middels "True...that would be rather traumatizing." he said with a laugh. He didn't want to see a ghost stripping...the thought of it seemed gross and awkward. "Its fine but whatever is taking your mind off of me is making me jealous." he said smiling at her before she said her next comment. Then his smile faded a little. He did know a little about her powers, something like making people live through their worst fears. He didn't get how they worked or anything though. "Well it was an accident right? So I'm sure its alright. If the person knew that and knew you were sorry about it, then they can't be mad." he said raising his hand up and gently stroked her cheek. He could tell it was bugging her and that she must have felt horrible about it, so he was trying to at least comfort her a little. He senses something, call it desperation

Jake Middels "You mean the quiet little girl who looks like a doll and is always stuck to him?.....Well thats not...so bad." Jake said said trying not to make it sound bad. Though trapping a mousey girl, who seems like she is afraid of her own shadow, in her worst fear wasn't good either....."I'm sure it could have been a lot worse. It was only an illusion and not real, plus she wasn't physically harmed right, so it's ok. She also forgave you, so you don't have to feel to bad about it anymore." he said sitting up and hugging her. "Well every power has ups and downs, Dema. We just have to find some ups for your power." he said trying to keep things sounding positive. He senses something, call it desperation

Jake Middels "He sadated her?!" Jake asked surprised. "...Well are you sure he sedated her because of your power only? Maybe he did it for another reason." He said trying to find other possibilites. "I've lived my worse fear already...and some how I managed to win against it in the end....So living through it again wouldn't be so bad for me since, I know I'll find a way to get free again." He said with a smile. He went through hell and somehow made it out. Thats some of the reasons why he trys to stick to positives. "You know what? Next time you feel you can't control your power at anytime, just direct it on me. That way you won't have to feel bad for hurting someone and I can help you. He senses something, call it desperation

I would happily and easily live my worst nightmare again for you." he said wrapping his arm around her waist and pulling her closer to him. He really didn't care if he had to relive what he had before and he was almost sure that nothing new would be brought back to his mind since, sadly, he wasn't lucky enough to forget everything that happened to him..... Jake Middels "Even so, its not possible to get rid of your powers....not unless you wiped your memory on how to use them...and even then eventually they would come back on their own." Jake said honestly. "Besides their is at least one good thing about your power. When I'm not around, you'll always be able to protect yourself from the rapists and stalkers that roam around everywhere." Its not the best thing but at least it really is a way her power could be good. He senses something, call it desperation
