Alex blinked in surprise - he was able to figure out that the person that Raize was talking about was his father, but he couldn't imagine how anyone's parent wouldn't want him to 'bother them'. But then...perhaps that wasn't so implausible. In fact, it even sounded somewhat familiar to hi-
He was sitting in the middle of a large room, its floor covered in a multitude of toys. There were more than he could count scattered around, and they came in all sorts of different shapes, sizes, and varieties. Most of them looked like they'd even be fun to play with - there was just one problem with the whole scene.
And that was the fact that he was all alone in the large, cold chamber - he had all of these great toys, and yet there was no one else whom he could play with them with.
Alex was snapped out of the vision by the sound of Josh's voice, and he blinked confusedly for a few moments, unable to stop the pained groan from escaping him. What had that been...? After a moment, he noticed what was going on and looked back and forth between the two boys. For a moment, he thought of asking Raize to let Josh play with them - but he stopped. No, that wouldn't be a good idea, he told himself. So instead, he said, "Sorry Josh; there's only room f'r two people a' th's station." Yes, that was a better answer, right? Raize would be happy with that response - he didn't know how he knew that.
He just did.

Josh looked a bit sad as he realized Alex was right (and a bit frightened as Raize snarled at him) but he nodded and toddled off to play with the other students all the same. Raize glared until he was out of sight, then turned his heated gaze to Alex - immediately, however, he smiled, and held Jazz out to him.
"C'mon. The city ain't gonna save itself." He said, shaking the toy. "You aren't gonna make me play alone, are you?"

Alex realized that what Raize had done wasn't particularly nice. In fact, he knew that he should be saying something about how it was mean to treat people like that - he couldn't bring himself to do it though. He didn't know why that was, because he probably would have scolded any other person, but...he just couldn't.
Maybe it was the way that Raize smiled at him when he turned back. The taller boy just looked so...HAPPY about playing with him, and honestly, Alex really wanted to play with Raize too, even if the brown impling WAS mean-spirited towards everyone else. So, the black-haired boy smiled and took Jazz as Raize held the toy out to him, a small giggle escaping him.
"No - I ain't ev'r g'nna make you play 'lone!"
