When the band started playing their slow melody, Justin looked to see the girl with the fox tail in front of him. His comforting smile never faded, and he offered his hand, and a few words. "Don't be nervous. Just let yourself go, and relax." He whispered to her gently. He could tell a lot about her from her body language. She seemed like a very nice girl, but, when around boys, she started to panic. When he smiled at her, she turned pink, which was kinda cute, by the way. All he needed to do was help her crack her shell, and she would make a good friend for the young goofball.

Keiko opened her eyes and hesitantly reached for the boy's hand. He seemed really nice. His gentle smile and kind words lessened Keiko's fears. However, she knew that if they started talking she would stumble over her words and make a fool of herself. Once they started to dance Keiko kept her eyes on her feet, making sure she did not step on the boy. She glanced up to search for Yuki in the crowd before looking at her feet again.

As they continued to dance, Justin noticed that the girl was watching her feet. It was understandable that she didn't wanna step on him. He then smiled again. "I know you're worried, but it's not really all that fun if you're staring at the floor the whole time. If you step on me, it's all right. I've felt worse. Trust me." He said kindly, with a chuckle at the last part. The young goof knew she was nervous and scared of embarrassing herself, so he was going to try and remove all factors that would cause her to do so. For example, her worries of stepping on him.

"Sorry!" Keiko said, turning pink again. She slowly looked up into the boy's brown eyes. "I... I'm just... r-really bad at interacting with boys..." She looked down again but only for a second. He must think I'm an idiot... Keiko thought as she looked up again, still blushing.

Justin looked into her gray eyes, which harbored the nervousness that came off of her. He tapped the young kitsune on the shoulder lightly. "I'm not just a boy, if that makes ya feel any better. The name's Justin." He introduced himself. "Anyway, being a bit awkward around the opposite gender is quite normal. I used to be scared of girls for a while, myself. Then again, that was after a certain incident I swore never to mention again. Point is, once you get over it, you can make all sorts of new friends, and maybe even find someone special. That's what my uncle told me." He told her softly.

Keiko smiled slightly as Justin introduced himself. "I-I'm Keiko..." She listened to what else Justin had to say and frowned. "I'll never get over it... I... I... I can never think of what to say and end up embarrassing myself..." Keiko looked down at her feet again. She thought about what Justin said about finding a special someone. That'll never happen... I can't have a conversation with a boy let alone get to know one well enough to fall in love...

Justin shook his head. "Never say never, Keiko. I mean, you're talking to me right now, and nothing bad's happened so far." He told her. "Remember when I said I used to be scared of girls? Well, a friend of mine helped me get over it, and she was a girl. She moved away, though, which sucks. Point is, if a girl can help me out of my fear, why wouldn't it work in reverse with you? Anything's possible." He added, a friendly vibe surrounding him.

"J-just wait..." Keiko looked up into Justin's eyes. Despite her nerves, she was feeling better about things. Justin seemed to be going out of his way to make Keiko feel at ease. She smiled, her face pink again. "I... I guess..." She glanced over Justin's shoulder and spotted Yuki giving her thumbs up. "You're doing great!" she mouthed to Keiko.

Justin smiled back at Keiko, noticing that her face was pink again. He continued to dance with her, happy that she was feeling a bit better. Meanwhile, Kain and Takeshi smiled at their goofball friend's example of kindness and chivalry. Justin was doing all he could and more to put Keiko in a good mood, and it seemed to be working.

It no time at all the song was over. Everyone started clapping, both at the band and the class presidents. The band started up again with a much faster song and everyone cheered and joined the dance floor. Yuki wove her way through the crowd and joined Keiko and Justin. "Hi!" she said holding out her hand to Justin. "I'm Yuki, one of Keiko's best friends. I hope you're treating her well." Keiko blushed and elbowed Yuki in the rib.

Justin chuckled a bit, then smiled at Yuki. "Don't worry. Things went pretty well, from where I'm standing." He said. His eyes then shifted to the cute little kitsune. "Thanks for the dance, Keiko." He said, flashing her a smile. Takeshi and Kain then waved to the red headed goof. "Excuse me for a bit." He said, weaving his way through the crowd. Kain smiled at Justin. "Dude, nice work out there!" He said, bumping fists with him. Takeshi nodded. "She seemed less nervous when you started talking to her. That's a good thing. Just try not to do anything TOO ridiculous." He told him. Justin nodded, with a laugh, then went back to Keiko. "Me again." He said, wearing a goofball grin.

Keiko watched Justin walk away until Yuki grabbed her by the shoulders. "Well?" she asked with a grin. "You seemed to be doing a lot better than you said you would." Keiko blushed. "I guess... It could've been a lot better though..." "From where I was you looked like you were enjoying yourself. Plus he's is kind of cute." Yuki glanced over to Justin and his friends. "So are his friends... Too bad Tamara isn't here. All six of us could pair off." Yuki giggled and started grinning again as Justin started walking back. "Hi," Keiko said, elbowing Yuki once more.

Justin gave Keiko a smile. The kitsune was just so adorable when she got all shy! He then looked around the room, admiring the energy of the crowd. His eyes then returned to Keiko. He might as well make a bit of small talk. "So, what kinda music are you into?" He asked her randomly.

"Classical," Keiko said without a second thought. Yuki smiled at her friend before wandering off to the snack table. "I... I've played cello... for about 10 years now... I can't get enough of it." Keiko smiled and absentmindedly started playing with her hair. "What about you?"

Justin smiled back at Keiko. "Well, I like lots of different kinds of music, but I love rock and metal the most. I play the electric guitar a lot, and I'm trying to form a band with my friends Kain and Takeshi. I've been playing for about 5 years, but I really enjoy it." He told her, fiddling with his goggles a bit.
