Namini took the ice cream in a bit of surprise. Before tasting it, her brow knitted together and she gave Jezabroux a smile, but it was a bit of a sad one, "I'm glad and...thank you. I could have paid for my own though. You'll have to let me treat you next time, um..Elai?" And the girl placed a spoonful of the cute, blue dessert into her mouth. Immediately her features lightened up, "Oh my gosh. This is really good! What is this? Like...blueberries or something?"

Prajna shot Luka a glance and was about to retort with "Don't tell Prajna what to do!" but it decided that there was no point in throwing rage at someone innocent. Prajna simply exhaled deeply and then gave its crow-like wings one last, hard beat, "No one touches Prajna's stuff. Specially girls." The Star let out a final, agitated snort before looking around the exhibit. There didn't seem to be anything there. That's when curiosity got the best of it and Prajna lifted a hand to the glass separating the Freis from whatever invisible creature lay behind it. Suddenly, a series of small, brownish creatures came up to the glass, shrieking enthusiastically, waving their tails this way and that. Prajna cringed and quickly removed its hand from the glass when one of the mischievous monkeys began licking the spot where its hand had rested. What...atrocious things.

Jezabroux held up his hand in protest to the girl's comment about treating him. "I couldn't let you do that Namini. Besides, it's only ice cream. I believe it would be a completely different matter if I bought you something expensive such as clothes." Giving her a reassuring smile he took a bite from his own cold treat. "It is isn't it? I recall it being my favorite flavor as a child. Blueberries and maybe something lighter like raspberries, but the color of the ice cream leads me to believe it is just blueberries and some other secret ingredient."

Leading the teenage girl on, he couldn't help but wonder if Prajna had enjoyed his gift from months before. "So, Namini, how was your Christmas holiday? I vaguely recall that you mentioned something about Prajna's love of the cello. Did you manage to get one for the Star? I managed to get the last Steinway Upright for Luka myself. It was quite a bit of hassle trying to bring it inside my apartment in the dead of night without waking Luka up." He gave a chuckle as he recalled the difficulty of navigating the large instrument around his apartment in the night with just a flashlight.

Something in the Star's reply struck an odd chord inside the Satyr.

No one touches Prajna's stuff.

Prajna's stuff.

He did not belong to Prajna or even Elai for that matter. He might live with the acupuncturist but he did not belong to him, to Elai. He was his own. A small frown formed at his lips, but the Satyr was quick to brush it off before the Star could see it. As long as Prajna did not boss him around, then Luka could overlook the Inverted Flame's slip of the tongue.

"It is loud," Luka said dryly as his eyes fell on the strange little fuzzy creatures that ran around in the enclosure. "and gross." He finished as one of the monkeys threw its excrement at the glass paneling. "Elai says people come from that thing." Luka commented as a finger pointed to a chimpanzee hanging from an a man dressed in your typical safari getup.

Namini stopped enjoying her ice cream just long enough to think back during the holidays. It had been such a long time ago, but after several moments, the brunette smiled warmly at the older gentleman, "Someone gave Prajna this beautiful cello! I think it may have been one Prajna had seen on television or something; It looked really familiar but..like.. I'm not sure who it could have been. My brother definitely wouldn't have spent so much on Prajna." The young girl laughed at such a ridiculous thought as she slipped another spoonful of cerulean goodness into her mouth. "I wish I knew who had given it to us. Prajna really likes it and I would love to repay them," Namini murmured as she recalled the Star's ecstatic face the first time it played it. Yes, it was indeed such a fond memory...

Prajna, at this moment, was not making quite the face its guardian was imaging though. Instead, its androgynous features seemed to be wrinkled tightly together with disgust as it watched the monkeys continue to act in repulsive ways.

"Elai says people come from that thing." Prajna eyes trailed Luka's arm until it stopped at this ugly beast of a monkey, hanging about in the exhibit. If it were somehow possible, Prajna's look of disgust deepened as it lifted a hand to its nose, as if trying to block out the sight from its nasal passage, "Lies. Well..may be truth. Prajna is not a people though. Prajna is Prajna."

"That is wonderful to hear Namini…" A sense of warmth welled up in the acupuncturist's chest. Just seeing Luka smile was enough to bring a smile to his own lips, he could only imagine how happy Namini must have been to see Prajna opening the case on Christmas. "I'm glad that your holiday was just as enjoyable as mine was." Taking a spoonful of his ice cream, he led the teen further down the pathway. "Even if you cannot thank them in person, I'm sure that whomever it is that gave you the cello is equally glad they showed that act of kindness." He gave her a smile. "Now then, is there any animal you would like to see in particular?"

"Just like Luka is Luka." Brushing his creamy bangs out his eyes, he smiled at Prajna. "Prajna is like Luka and Namini is like Elai. But Prajna and Luka are not like Namini and Elai." Stretching out his wings, the Satyr slowly started to float towards the building with a giant sign reading 'Aquarium' with the words being attacked by a squid figure. "Does Prajna want to go inside?" He asked, pointing to the black building.

Without even asking for the Star's answer, Luka was already at the doors of the entrance to the aquarium. "Elai tells me there is fish inside. Float in water with glass, so can see but cannot touch but clear wall holding water and fish inside."

Namini took a moment to consider the mammal and reptile possibilities. It had been quite a while since she had been to the zoo, though she wasn't familiar with this one. "Do they have any exotic birds here? I've always loved to see them and some make beautiful music," Namini finally chirped, digging a little deeper into her turquoise ice cream. Ah~ It was so refreshingly sweet and cold!

"Does Prajna want to go inside?"

Prajna turned to see where Luka was intending to enter, but the Satyr was much faster, having floated to the entry before giving the Star much time to consider. Prajna took a minute to glance over the sign, but not being too practiced with reading, all it got from the sign was that there was something with long arms or things eating fat letter-shapes. The redhead hurried after the Satyr, confused and agitated, "But Prajna has seen fish before. Namini cooks. They are ugly but smell good."

Jezabroux paused for a moment, trying to recall if the sign had mentioned exotic birds. "I would assume so. I mean, it is a zoo after all. It would be foolish for a zoo of this size not to have a decent aviary with a wide collection of exotics." Taking another mouthful of his ice cream, he pulled out the map in his front pocket and spread it open for the brunette to see. "Currently, we are here." He pointed to the path leading up to three way plaza center marked Animal Junction. " Eyes scanning the map, he eventually pointed to the section titled Amazing Aviary. "It would seem we missed it when we came this way. I'm assuming that Luka and Prajna must have gone that way as well. We can either double back and go that way or go in a c-shape. Which would you prefer?"

Luka shrugged. "Perhaps Prajna has. Luka only see fish thing moving across on TV. Elai no cooking fish often." Urging for the Fallen Star to follow after him, Luka grabbed onto Prajna's arm as the darkness enveloped them. The inside of the aquarium was dark, and to accommodate, Luka let off a gentle glow. It wasn't just from his rune but from his whole body. Slowly letting go of Prajna's arm, the Satyr floated towards the glass tanks stacked up inside the walls and let out little oohs and ash at the colorful fish that floated within their glass prisons.

"Look Prajna! Fish is colored like you."

Namini paused for a moment, thinking carefully. What would Prajna most likely be doing right now? She hadn't seen the redhead take any interest in the birds on television, but then again, maybe Prajna was letting Luka lead? She never knew what the Star was thinking. After swallowing a nice big portion of her ice cream, Namini shivered and let her brain freeze play out before nodding and stuttering, "W-we can just go in the c-shape. We'll run i-i-into them soon, right?"

For a moment, Prajna felt the instinctive urge to pull away from Luka's touch, hating to be touched when uninvited by the Star itself. But soon, the Satyr's natural light and warmth seduced Prajna into giving in. Prajna felt its nerves slowly taking in the small radiance that was Luka, the Satyr oblivious to the redhead's instincts. He was...so warm.. Prajna turned its hazy eyes over to the fish swimming by and let out a soft sigh of awe.

"Look Prajna! Fish is colored like you."

Prajna turned to look through another glass panel to see a brilliant crimson fish swimming on by, as if without a care in the world. Prajna's cerulean eyes widened softly as it extended a hand to the glass. Suddenly, the cold invisible wall brought the Star back to its senses. Prajna removed Luka's hand from its arm and regained itself, "What is this place? Why are fish not like tv fish?"

Jezabroux nodded to the teenage girl's question. "In theory, yes. Of course, we might always run into them much earlier or later depending on what pace they're moving at and what pace we're moving at." Nevertheless, he gave her a reassuring smile. "Of course, I'm most positive that we will find them sooner as opposed to later." Leading Namini on down the smooth bricked path, it wasn't long before they came in view of the large enclosures housing multitudes of colorful birds.

"And besides Namini, so far there haven't been any calls on the intercom about two floating half bodies causing problems." Seeing a sign about feeding lorikeets, he motioned for her to follow. "Want to feed the birds?" He asked, already pulling out his wallet to pay for the feed.

Luka shrugged at Prajna's question. How was he supposed to know? Perhaps Elai would know, but despite the fact that he liked watching TV, the mechanisms of the device continued to elude the Stayr. For now, it was just a large flat box thing that ate little flat donut disks and played Disney movies. "Do not know." He said simply as he pressed his face against the tank's glass. There were so many pretty colors and other strange weird looking things in the tank.

"Wonder if can touch?" He muttered to himself, honeyed orbs glowing softly in the dark as they scanned the room. And eventually, his eyes fell upon a group of people leaning over a railing to dip their hands into the water. Eyes twinkling with excitement, Luka moved away from Prajna and headed towards the group of people. He leaned against the railing watching the people and their movements before slowly doing the same. The water was warm to the touch. And when something nibbled on the tip of his fingers, Luka jerked his hand back out of shock. Eyes wide, he turned to look at Prajna and motioned for the Star. "PRAJNA COME QUICK!" There was so many things to do here.

Namini's worried features immediately began to glow as Jezabroux offered her some bird feed. It had been so long since she had just been able to be..so..carefree, "I suppose you're right. Though, I think, if we do happen to get a call over the intercoms, it may be too late.." she tried to joke, as she took some feed and gestured her handful to a small pair of birds. The feathery friends cocked their head and then fluffed their feathers in excitement as they immediately began pecking away at the girl's hand. The young brunette giggled and tossed the rest out onto the ground for others to joy in on. It was so nice, this date with such a kind man--- Namini felt her face grow hot as she caught herself midthought. THIS. THIS WAS NOT A DATE! she tried to remind herself, only to have her cheeks grow more and more red.

Prajna frowned at Luka's indifferent response but dropped the question. Today was not a day to quarrel, but to have as much fun as possible. Prajna found itself drawn into an interesting looking thing, one covered in wrinkles and Time itself it looked like. The turtle swam this way and that, looking outwards at the Star, as if trying to communicate through its movements. Prajna felt enchanted by the odd creature's wiggling and paddling and was just about to ask Luka what exactly was this ...thing was doing, the Star unaware of the concept of "swimming" when it realized Luka...was gone.

"Luka?" Prajna mewed, suddenly overwhelmed by the feeling of abandonment. That's when it heard the Satyr call out, "PRAJNA COME QUICK!" Piercing blues scanned over the unfamiliar faces until it found the cream colored Frei, waving frantically in the Star's direction. Immediately, Prajna pushed through the masses, half growling with sudden protectiveness and half gasping from panic. Upon reaching its companion, Prajna grabbed the closest human, a child, and twisted its wrist quite violently, its hands shaking.

"What did you do to Luka?" came the redhead's deep threat, its voice seeming to take on a more intimidating, masculine tone of voice than normal. Immediately, the child began to cry. It could continue to cry too. The Star didn't care.

"Luka, say now! What human do?" Prajna demanded, pushing harder against the child's fragile wrist. This brat tried to get away with taking Prajna's companion away? This human child wanted to hurt Prajna's friend?! The Star...did not think so.

Jezabroux didn’t notice the rising color of Namini’s cheeks. He was also enchanted with the brightly colored lorikeets which were finding him to be an excellent perch. There were three on his head, and even more on his arms and shoulders. Taking a few minutes to feed the birds the remaining feed, he shooed the rest of the birds off him. It was fun, but the last thing he needed was a bird doing it’s business on him. “Shall we go on with trying to find Luka and Prajna now?” He asked, turning to Namini. Truth be told, today was the first time he had really let Luka out of his sight with this much freedom. It wasn’t that he didn’t trust the Frei, rather he felt the Raevan hadn’t been ready yet. There were still many language and behavioral barriers that Luka had yet to overcome before Jezabroux felt completely at ease with the Raevan wandering around by itself.

And while he didn’t say it, the idea that Luka was traveling alone with Prajna perhaps made him feel all the more worried. From the few times he had observed Namini’s charge, the raevan had exhibited a fiery disposition, a refusal to accept responsibility, and a streak of mischievousness. Maybe if Luka had gone off with a more mature Raevan, say like Lucia… he wouldn’t be this worried.

It happened so quickly. Luka had merely wanted to show Prajna this silly looking creature, and the Star’s volatile personality had focused in on a little child who happened to be at the wrong place at the wrong time. Upon hearing the child cry, a frown formed on the Satyr’s lips. There was something about the child crying, and Prajna’s merciless tone that had irritated the young Frei. He had never seen anyone cry before, but it was unsettling all the same. It brought a sense of uneasiness. Reaching out with a slender pale hand, he grabbed Prajna’s wrist roughly. ”Let go Prajna,” There was no visible anger, but it was laced heavily with disapproval. Not waiting for the Star to respond, he pried Prajna’s fingers free from around the the little girl’s wrist.

Floating lower to the girl’s level, he gently brushed away her tears. ”Luka is sorry. So, no more of this.” He flashed her a warm smile before ruffling her hair in a manner all to similar to the way Jezabroux ruffled his. Ushering her off before Prajna could harm the girl further, Luka turned and frowned at the fallen star. ”What Prajna do is bad. Only want to show Prajna something and Prajna hurt little girl.” It was strange that he was admonishing the Inverted Flame for its unacceptable behavior. But, for reasons unknown, he found it to be necessary all the same. ”Prajna keep hurt others and Luka will no play Prajna.” A threat, not that Luka would know what that is.

Namini nodded in agreement at Jezabroux's suggestion and tossed the remainder of her bird feed out to the anticipating pheasants and pigeons. With a farewell pat on the head to a final parakeet, the curly haired brunette followed the older man down another path, her eyes scanning the passng faces in hopes of recognizing her Frei or his. That's when Namini felt something... or one bump into her slender legs. With a quiet "Oh!", Namini looked down and found herself staring into the face of a small child's face, her cheeks streaked with drying tears. Instinctively, the teen placed a tender hand on the girl's head and continued to stroke the child's soft locks, issuing a soft cooing sound before then asking sweetly, "Is everything okay, little one? Are you okay? I mean, are you lost?"

The child hiccuped and Namini placed a motherly kiss on her forehead before taking her hand and turning to Jezabroux, "Jezabroux. Sir? Do you happen to know where the information stand is? I think this little girl may be lost." Namini tried to flash a soft, reassuring smile, still rubbing her thumb against the girl's hand. "You are lost right, sweetheart? Or am I just being a busy body?" The brunette giggled softly... until her little companion spoke.

"Th-there was a mean kid. H-h-he had fire on his his head and he hurt me," the girl squeaked, still breaking up between quietening sobs. Namini furrowed her brow in concern and gave the girl another hug. The child continued, gaining more confidence as she spoke, "There was anuder person who sabed me though. He had la-like long Christmas hair. He sabed me from da red meanie."

Namini's eyes suddenly widened as her embrace loosened around the girl. Hair like fire? Mean? There could be no mistake. It had to be Prajna. And Luka would definitely be the hero if Prajna had created some kind of mischief.. Namini broke off from the child and turned to Jezabroux with a confused expression, mouthing to him "What do we do?"

Prajna felt its fury come to an abrupt stop as it felt another placed his fingers on the Star's slender wrist. The invader's grip... was rough. And the moment that knowledge sunk it, Prajna felt its temper flare back up again. Despite raising its eyes to meet Luka's. The inverted flame felt the Satyr pry its fingers off of the child and then the redhead watched Luka float on down to the kid's level and... apologize. The fiery Frei could only handle so much! The second the child had bolted out of sight and Luka had returned his attention back at Prajna, the Star was ready to give him a tongue lashing of great magnitudes... until Luka addressed the Star with a threat.

Whether Luka had threatened Prajna unintentionally or not, the Star did not know, but what Prajna did know was that there was a sudden, awful sinking feeling in its chest, what little there was formed. Prajna bit its lip and tried to gather the full meaning of Luka's words but could not muster the patience and respect it needed to to address the other Frei in a civil manner. The words just flooded out of the Star's mouth, uncensored and unrestrained, "Prajna hates you."

And because the Star did not know how else to react in this situation... it floated away. All it knew at this moment was to create as much distance between itself and Luka as was possible. Prajna did not want to have to resort to hitting someone who it had enjoyed the whole day with so far... Luka wasn't strong like Varun. Or so the Star imagined. Luka just didn't get the Star like others did and, for some reason, Prajna just accepted it.

Jezabroux paused, brows knitting together in mild worry. “I’ll take the girl to find her mother; you go ahead to Prajna and Luka.” Even to the acupuncturist, it was astounding how dynamic the relationship was between the two frei. Certainly they were friends, but, their’s was a surprisingly fragile and impressionable friendship. They were brought together by an inexplicably complex interest in each other, and yet, it seemed they had no problem bringing out the worst in each other as well during their encounters. “Hopefully, nothing too bad has happened.”

Luka stared at Prajna, only to float a few feet away from the star as the other Frei said those words to him. To an extent, he was disappointed, but… He was also not surprised. This was Prajna, sometimes warm, sometimes cold. Fun to be with, but all the same unpredictable.

”Whatever Prajna wants.”

The Satyr said before turning to float away in the opposite direction. It was better to find Elai now, he wanted to go home. There was no one to play with now, and he was starting to go in a bad mood after that. He came here looking for a good time, and this… this was not that. Navigating through the crowd of people, he stopped when stopped the familiar colors his guardian’s hair. And the little girl from earlier was there too, as was Namini. Reaching the two guardian, Luka cast Namini an unnecessarily apathetic look. ”Prajna is that way.” He pointed in the direction the fiery Star had headed. Wrapping his arms around the acupuncturist’s waist, the Satyr sighed. ”Want to go back. Have throbby head Elai. Want go home now. He wasn't about to take no for an answer either.

Jezabroux looked down at his charge and placed a hand on the boy's downy hair. "Of course," Looking over at Namini he gave her an apologetic look. "Why don't you go ahead and get Prajna, and I'll drive you home." It was a shame to have to end their day on such a bad note. "And hopefully, next time it will be better. I'll be waiting here for you, Miss Namini."
