The effeminate lion took the attack with his shoulder. While the hit would normally throw a lion of his size several yards, Kunar was made of sterner stuff than he looked. He flipped in mid-air and shifted around so that he landed only a few feet away and lunged back at him, claws extended. Lightning struck between Razier and Yaru, guided by Kunar's will, scoring the ground between them and scorching it black.

Nick was feeding when he recieved Kunar's call. He probed his son's mind to learn exactly what was going on and leant to his sons his strength and anger as it grew second by second, lending his emotion to the storm's intensity. No one attacked his children and lived to tell the tale if he could help it, but he was hampered by distance and the fact that his lifemate would be furious if he killed Razier...then again, he was sure Nori would forgive him in time as their children's life was at stake. Finishing the task, he let the lion go before taking to the skies, changing into dragon form as he did.
Kunar! Yaru...was pissed. Anger flooded his system along with a huge dose of adrenaline, as the male knocked his brother to the side and flung his tail towards him in an attempt to impale him. Using his speed, he leapt up in time to avoid the tail and made a lunge at knocking into the male with his shoulder even as he changed shape into a large elephant. The animal might be a cumbersome, but it's mass was much larger than Yaru's normal lion form and would have a greater impact if it connected.

Razier had managed to dodge the lightening bolt and the extended claws of Kunar but he was sent tumbling back when he found himself being knock against by an elephant. Normally a lion wouldn't get up from such an attack but clearly Razier was no ordinary lion. He quickly got back up to his feet, his shoulder shaking as dark laughter spilled out into the air.
"So it is magic you two wish to use......"
His laugh became lower and far more maniacal than how it had started.
"Alright then. Let us play children......"
The skies grew darker, the light from the moon faded into nothingness. A black aura seeped out from his body and snaked its way up into the sky and to the earth around him. The grass beneath his paws turned brown and grew brittle. The sky roared with thunder and the lightening that Kunar had conjured multiplied and grew in intensity. The winds began to howl and once again Razier shifted, taking on his dragon form. His massive jaws opened only to twist into a malicious smile and his wings fanned out.

Yaru grinned as his attack connected, but lost his balance as he went down as the elephant is a very cumbersome form. Nice for it's weight, but an elephant doesn't have the tendency to land on it's feet when dropped from a height, instead he sorta rolls, forcing him to change his shape to regain his footing. He was grinning as he did so, feeling strong and powerful for the first time in his life, though he wasn't sure if that was his own doing, or the fact his father was lending him his strength.
"It is not entirely magic that we use," Yaru growled as he shifted back into his lion form, "for we are Carpathains...people of the earth. It is what gives us our powers to control the heavens, change our very forms and makes us strong in both body and spirit. Our people are strong, and not so easily scared off by these tactics of yours."
Gathering the increased energy above the clouds, he sent a massive lightening bolt towards Razier even as the fog began forming along the ground and building up.

"Kunar! Yaru!" Nori had been in the midst of consulting the cards. Now he didn't need to turn over the next card. He knew what message he was being given. His heart quickened as he quickly collected his cards and bolted from their lair. He didn't have much, but he lent his sons all of what strength he could muster. :: Hold on! We are coming!:: He sought out Nick on their personal mental path, hoping at least he would reach them in time. ::I am too far! He won't be merciful, We MUST reach them in time!::
Kunar stilled, looking up....and up... and up as Razier became a dragon. This.... was a little more than he wanted to deal with. Yes, there was a tinge of fear in his eyes when the dragon spread it's wings. But then he felt his fathers lending him strength and he sent them both a silent thanks. With a determined grin on his face he lunged to the right, shifting on the run as he circled the now-huge Razier. He called upon his birth father's blood this time, drawing the primal beast within. His body elongated like a serpent, but great feathered with sprouted from his back. His mane turned to colorful feathers and his claws grew long and sharp, his hind legs disappearing into his long body and tail. The Amphitere dragon was large, mostly all length, but he was fast and sharp. Kunar quite literally danced around his opponent spiraling and dancing before him in the air. He let out a high-pitched roar.
::Let's dance, big boy.::

The lightening bolt made contact and it drew forth a pained roar from Razier but eventually his screams stopped. Instead he was now drawing power from the elements. Lightening quickened with it's striking and a dark gleam danced across his eyes. Oh he would defiantly play with the two alright. With the lightening fast moves, he charged for Kunar as well as sent a shock wave straight for Yaru.

Forgive me if I kill him, my love, Nick sent back in reply on the personal path to Nori, angrier than hell at the moment, bent to protect his family as it was so precious to him and his love, and flying as fast as he could. He was thankful to be a master of the elements, to be able to use the wind to speed his progress along considerably though he was still some distance away from the fight. I'd ask if there was any way to stall him, but I doubt he'll be too happy to see me back so soon...
Yaru, in all honesty, WAS intimidated by the huge being he and his brother were fighting, but he refused to focus on it and let the fear grow. The adrenaline was too strong in his system, and he dug in his claws as the felt the impact of the sound wave. It was still enough to fling him through the air, but he managed to twist and land once more on his own paws...maybe just barely, but still was better than not. Growling, he dug his claws in once more, concentrating more on the storm and keeping the elemental attacks off his brother as much as possible, which was proving a bit difficult to do. This was alot different than the mock battles he and Kunar had at odd times when his brother managed to convince him to practice.

::I would rather let him live, but if it's our kids or him....:: Family came first. Nori didn't have one growing up or during the over the century of slavery he suffered, for obvious reasons. He was going to cling to the family he had started with Nick with all his might. Eyes glowing white as he ran, he pulled a card and summoned forth it's power. The card floated above him as it cast it's spell, lending him speed in the form of wings. Desperation was definitely one of life's greatest inspiration.
Kunar smirked in the dragon form and danced away mid-air, his long tail trailing behind him as he spiraled and dashed through the air, heading higher. ::Follow me to the skies, if you think you can handle it:: Yes, he was trying to lead him away from Yaru. Yes, he was trying to buy time for his fathers to get here. But he was also enjoying this far too much. It wasn't every day that you met with a real threat and had a chance to take it head-on.

There was a lack of hesitation on his part. Razier soared higher, giving chase without fear. This was what he needed, this was what he had to do to become the heartless monster he had once been and to forget the Seer that destroyed the walls he had seemingly been born with. He had to be cruel once more. He had to cause pain as he had used to and he had to do it now. With ease, he dodged more lightening bolts that came his way and opened his jaws sending a wide stream of his acidic breath at Kunar every chance he got.
While he tried to spray down Kunar with his acidic breath, his jade green eyes began to glow and soon after a very loud buzzing came into existence. Headed for Yaru from an array of directions were large swarms of wasps. Why did they come? Razier was the one who summoned the insect plague because he knew that unlike bees, wasps didn't lose their stingers. He knew that they could sting and sting for as long as they wished and administer there venom with each sting as well. Of course one sting would do nothing to an adult, but thousands of stings could easily cause Yaru to go into a seizure and eventually, if the assault did not stop death would follow. This is what Razier was counting on.

Kunar danced through the skies, backtracking right over Razier's head and spiraling around him as close as he dared. And he dared close. There was little fear in this one, though he had yet to try landing a strike. When the buzzing came up he shook his head, thinking the noise was from within.... until he caught sight of the swarm. ...Heading straight for Yaru.
::Brother! Beware, he focuses minions on you.::
he couldn't keep focusing on his brother. He needed all of his attention on the enemy at hand. With a grimace, he turned his thoughts away from his sibling and focused on Razier, barely dodging another stream of acid and circling around him.
"Why do you attack us? Knowing who we are... What we are to someone you supposedly care for. Was everything you did for my father a lie? You did it all for yourself! To keep his power at your side! For your own benefit! Didn't you?! You knew how susceptible he was. You bound him to your side on good graces so he would be loyal to you. Knowing what he was. Knowing how he had been treated. You used him. Used him like the cheap slave he was." He roared in fury, striking out at one of his wings.
Nori's eyes were wide as he listened in on that. He was closer now, could see them in the sky. But now he halted, his heart faltering as he looked on at them. Could it... be true? Could he have fallen for Razier so easily? A few paltry gifts and he handed his soul over to him? Was he so weak? So easy?

Nick flapped his wings furiously, he was so close that that he could see the bigger dragon in the distance chasing after one of his sons, and sensed his lifemate on the other side of the battle. Sensing his distress at what Kunar had told Razier, he mentally caressed Nori's mind with gentle love. I will never leave you nor use you. The past is past, the path you walked was long and hard, but it brought us together, and for that I am grateful, and I thank the deities that must exist for you every time I awaken. Perhaps he does have feelings for you, but you know now it was never meant to last. In the end, I think this battle would still be taking place no matter what happened, and his hatred for me was decided from the beginning even before we met. He tried to reassure Nori as much as possible, even as he sent forth a roar that would let Razier know reinforcements had arrived. His beast roared within and he hurried to close the distance quickly, the beast within eager for battle and to prove himself a much worthier opponent than he had previously.
Yaru was watching the heavens, intent on the battle his brother and Razier were locked in and attempting to protect him as much as possible in return for all Kunar had done for him. He loved his brother dearly, and was determined to not let him down in the slightest...after all, their very lives seemed to depend on it.
So attuned was he to the chase overhead, he barely registered other mass of sounds coming from every direction to converge on him. It was almost like white noise, and just as easily pushed from the mind and ignored. If it wasn't for his brother's warning, he would have been easily overcome by the wasps attack too late to do anything about it. Oh crap...! was his mental reply, something that should amuse his brother greatly and amount to a bit of teasing afterwards. Roaring, he gathered energy from the storm and gathered the winds around himself, turning them in a tornado vortex with himself in the eye. He sensed his fathers nearness and confident that Kunar was in good hands, completely focused on the battle that now was at hand.
The tornado winds where strong and relentless, easily catching the hordes of wasps within their grasp. Occasionally a few would escape to sting him if he wasn't paying close enough attention to them all, but he did his best to ignore the pain, instead sweeping them back into the main twisting body that was now black with wasps angrily buzzing and trying to free themselves. Their minds were tiny and a few easily controllable, but in large numbers this required immense concentration by the inexperienced lion. His goal was to turn them back on their master, though he knew the hide would be impossible to get through, however he knew soft spots existed where a wasp could get to and sting. Maybe not an effective weapon, but probably a surprising one at least if it succeeded....
If not, he could always go to ground as a final option in this particular instance.

How dare Kunar speak such words when he knew nothing of what Nori meant to Razier, when he knew nothing of Razier was before Nori came into his life. How could Kunar possibly understand? He couldn't. When he was born there was love in his life. He had two beacons of life to guide him as he grew. Razier was not so fortunate. He knew nothing of love. He knew nothing of compassion. He seemingly came into existence from the darkness itself knowing nothing else but war, pain, hate and fear. Sure when Razier first came to meet Nori, he took him in because of fascination and intrigue but the more time spent with the male, the more he felt a change happen. He outright scared him at first. For a time he grew paranoid, wondering if Nori knew some sort of spell that would mean his end and for a time he thought Nori sought out to kill him.
However, when his life force remained intact he knew that there was something else to it. He found himself wondering if this is what love was and received his confirmation when he awoke one night in tears from a nightmare. He had dreamed of Nori being taken from him and it frightened him to end. That was also the night he for the first time felt his own heart beating. Before Nori, he felt nothing. He had always felt so hollow. Consumed by his thoughts and his rage at Kunars accusations, his wings met with Kunars attack, the membrane ripping apart. A pained cry left his maw and out of reaction his whipped his tail at his attacker as he fell towards the earth losing altitude.
No, not once did he use Nori. He had loved him with all that he was and now he was trying to cope with his loss the only way he knew how. Kunar would never understand, he couldn't without fully knowing what Razier was and what he had come from....what he started from. With a thunderous crash, his large body collided with the earth. With a bit of effort, Razier got up on his feet, ready to attack once again but he froze when he saw Nori in the distance and coming closer. Again he felt his heart beat but this was not pleasant like it had been on that night. This time it hurt like no other pain he had felt before. His eyes reflected that pain just a little but then when he looked to Nori's offspring the pain his eyes reflected intensified. He had to go. He had to leave. He could not allow himself to be seen this weak.
He was not how he once was and it was clear that he would not be for some time. For now, they had won the battle...but the war was far from over. The next time Nori, Nick and their children would see him, he would not be as Nori remembered him. After taking in a deep breath, her exhaled and seemingly melted into what looked like a black puddle on the ground, but what he actually did was meld with the shadows and made his escape.

He shifted again, back to his true form. Kunar dove hard, his paws striking the Earth and causing a rippling wave across the ground. He let our a roar, the skies echoing his ferocity with enough lightning to light up the skies and rock the forest with it's thunder.
"COWARD! b*****d! FIGHT ME!" He hissed low. "Your silence answers everything. My father held you in his HEART, DAMNIT! You USED him! If you EVER cared about him AT ALL, why would you attack his family, knowing what it meant to him?!"
Furious, impotent tears ran down his cheeks as he roared again. His blood was on fire. He wanted vengeance. NO ONE was allowed to play with his father's heart. For all the bastards he couldn't have his revenge on, he would take it all out on Razier, the last one alive.
Nori locked on to Nick through their mental path. He couldn't help giving off the waves of sadness. Even if he knew that was Kunar believed was untrue. No, Razier had cared for him. And now he felt betrayed. And no one could understand it but him. After all... He'd been the one to tear down the wall around the black dragon's heart... Brick by stubborn brick.
::I know. Fate brought us together. I was put on Razier's path to help him, but I was never his. The cards knew that before his enemies ever considered attacking him and taking me away. No, this was always fated.::
He looked down at Kunar and felt distressed for him. The waves of hate coming from his offspring... It was so unnatural feeling such things from one of his own.
::I begin to worry... For us all... ::
