Purenia I've only been on the Disney World one. After it was refurbished. I think the main thing they had to change was the seat belts in the ride, because well...there was an accident...
I guess I'm not 100% sure if it's true, but my parents told me about it so I don't know. I have been on both the old Disney World Space Mountain and the new refurbished one.
I mean rides always need refurbishing. I do know that someone died while waiting in line for Space Mountain....but it wasn't on the ride.Deaths in Disney WorldI do know that someone did die on Mission Space in Epcot though.Quote: The ride would not be open if someone had been decapitated. Yes, there have been deaths due to other rides, like Mission: Space, but those were a result of health problems aggravated by the ride. If someone was riding and there head was sliced/knocked off, the ride would have closed, because that is not a one time thing... that could happen over and over unlike the Mission: Space. K so the last post about deaths reminded me of something. Apparently, when they put space mountain in DL in CA, since it was pretty much the same as the one in WDW, some engineers or something wanted to do the test run, without running dummies first. Disney officials said no and after they ran a test run with dummies thru, the dummies came back headless. Those engineers got hella lucky lol
