"Yeah, I'm not eating that," Nate told her blandly, watching the fire as it flickered, thinking about what to do. Wait until Tony came out to flail at it uselessly? Dogby was no where to be seen, though he heard her scratching at the bedroom door and Tony's voice trying to calm her. It seemed even the dog knew that Ele should not be anywhere near the stove.
He could imagine the corgi was saying something like 'please stop her from killing us all'.
Tony ran in when he heard Ele calling, staring at the fire. He had smelled smoke, and now he saw it. And fire.
"Oh dear!" He yelped, scrambling to find the fire extinguisher that they were all supposed to keep in the apartments. He had no idea where it was, though, and it took him a long moment to find it. In the interim, Nate was working to turn off the burners and get the fire under control, almost having it out by the time Tony arrived to spray the stove top, and the two teenagers standing too close by proxy, with the fire extinguisher.
He shut it off, looking panicked.
"Uh. Uhm. I think take out.... might be a better idea. How about you two... uh... go out?" He dug into his pocket and pulled out his wallet, offering Nate some money to pay for food, presumably. Nate took it and pocketed it, then looked at Ele.
"Yeah, let's leave," he said, silently adding 'in different directions'.

As Dogby entered the room behind Tony, Elegancia's first instinct was to squeal in girlish delight over the sight of an adorable dog. She did, after all, have a soft spot for canines-- especially cute ones. But she chose to appear disinterested in her surroundings, as it was unbecoming of a lady to take interest in such a humble apartment. There were no extravagant pieces of art, nor any precious pieces of designer furniture-- indeed, there was nothing nice to see there. But it did have a certain charm to it!
"Well, now that that's over," she said, as if she had done no wrong, "I am absolutely famished." Elegancia watched as Nathan wiped some of the fire extinguisher dust off of himself, and inspected herself to see the damage done to herself-- luckily, the dust was minimal. She wanted to scream Tony's brains out for even getting a single speck on her skirt, but seeing as he had offered for the two to eat, she felt it wrong to do so. Even snobby girls had their moments of kindness! It wasn't like she couldn't pay for herself (in fact, she could pay for the entire apartment complex to eat), it was the thought that counted.
"Anyway, it's definitely been a pleasure. I will make sure to have Nathan bring you back something absolutely delectable-- and for the dog, as well!" She followed Nate towards the door and noted his sarcastic face. Oh, no-- that was a face she knew all too well, even in the short amount of time they had known eachother. "You are planning on using your father's money for what he intended it to be used for, right?"
Because if not? She had every intention to tattle-tell.

Dogby sat by Tony's feet, wagging her short stump of a tail and panting happily. Now that whatever all that trouble was had been seen to, she was perfectly in her element, looking at their guest expectantly, hopefully, with her big dark eyes. She wanted pets, but Tony often called to her when she padded up to people and demanded attention. At least, when he was nearby he did. So she was sitting near him, leaning against his leg, and waiting for a chance to sneak some love in.
Tony wasn't paying attention to her at the moment, beyond making sure she was safe, as he was quite worried about the kitchen that had almost burned down, and the subsequent mess that had been made. Not to mention all the food that seemed to have been wasted. He had no idea what the kids had been trying to do, but that was probably a good thing.
He smiled at her offer, though he didn't realize it wasn't much of one right away. It might don on him after they left that he had paid for whatever they brought back, if anything, anyway.
Nate wrinkled his nose.
"Of course I am," he said, though his eyes were blazing. What a snitch! She was already trying to get him in trouble and they hadn't even set off yet. Not that he intended to stick with her once they cleared the apartment. He yanked the door open and left, not waiting for Ele and certainly not holding the door open for her like any polite person might do.

"Do not worry, Librarian," Elegancia said calmly, "I shall keep watch over Nathan as best as I can." She thought to add that he did a rotten job raising such an unruly young man, and that surely he needed to be a better man for his son, but felt it better to not say such uncouth things. Which was a shock, really, since Elegancia was all about spitting insults out of her mouth like venom-- whether she intended for them to be or not. "Thank you for allowing me to stay in your apartment-- even though you had no say in the matter."
She curtsied slightly, almost impeccably, then chased after Nate. Poor Dogby found no TLC in Elegancia-- she was in such a hurry to pester her dashing savior.
"Hey, hey," she called, chasing after Nate, "hey!!!!" He was stomping off while she ran for him, rather unladylike. What was the use? It wasn't like he was anyone important.

Tony frowned when she referred to him simply as librarian. Maybe she didn't know his name, and it was the only thing she could remember to call him... at least she had offered him an almost-name at all? Or maybe he was being optimistic and giving her more credit than he knew she deserved.
But he was too nervous and polite to really want to call her on it. Anyway, she was going to keep an eye on Nate, which meant he wouldn't be at home to bother Tony or Dogby.
A nice reprieve, while Tony tried to salvage his scorched kitchen area.
Nate heard Ele behind him, but didn't slow his stride.
"You can come after me, but I'm not going to wait for you, or pay you any attention," he warned with a dismissive wave and a grin, knowing she pretty much thrived on attention.
He had no plans in mind, and wondered how she would take to milling around pointlessly, until they found some trouble to get into. She'd probably get bored and wander off, right? Or he could get her arrested for something... and he had the money Tony had given him, which meant he could go get himself something good to eat.
And not share.

"Come after you?" Elegancia watched as Nate performed his usual annoying gestures, then scoffed. "Hah! I was merely going to remind you that you ought to spend that money as it was intended to be spent. Come after you? Bah!" With a haughty flip of her hair, Elegancia strutted right past Nate, keeping her nose up the entire time, as if she were trying to keep her nostrils away from an awful stench.
"You know what? I am going to go treat myself to a fabulous meal. Something gourmet. You have fun going out and getting junk that will make you fat." Auburn hair swayed as she bobbed her head around in anger, trying to emphasize how annoyed she was. "I don't understand why you always have to be so rude," she spat, "but fine! No skin off my nose."
Stomping off, Elegancia turned around briefly to throw a glare of disdain over Nate. Hopefully she didn't run into him later that day when fighting a monster-- like she usually did.
