Zahmen II Women have the fantastic ability to overthink and dwell! you know me all too well. Definitely the child support/custody issue. I know a few males who are on the wrong end of the stick when it comes to that. Even some who technically have custody, the woman won't oblige, and the courts do nothing. As I've noticed repeatedly in news stories, most of the people that end up going apeshit crazy on their kids are women, so I don't get why the courts always pick women over men for custody.

The whole living longer thing is pretty interesting given that the difference was one year in the 1920's and is now about seven years. Suggesting that the difference in lifespan isn't biological.
In America, in war, men are obligated to take combat positions. Women are still barred from the most dangerous areas. I suppose it could be viewed as oppression, but I can't think of why someone would WANT to do that...
If you're in India or Japan you get your own train cars and in India you can physically assault any man that steps inside.
Your chance of committing suicide is SIGNIFICANTLY less. I know in America men commit suicide about four times more on average. (six times for my age group gonk )
The custody thing is a big one. Bob Geldof had a really good program about the whole thing as it is in the UK.
I don't really relate to a lot of the personal hygiene stuff because I shave my face/chest/stomach/armpits/eyebrows blah blah.
I find it somewhat offensive to suggest that guys have "less" feelings. Guys are definitely expected to be and, I think, are more stoic. But I don't see that as entirely bad. I think everyone should practice some level of stoicism. Being over emotional in public is just kind of childish no matter what sex.

I don't want to be a breadwinner. I would like to stay home and be homemaker, I like it.
I'm a guy though, so... while it's not impossible, I'm at a disadvantage.

Interestingly enough, before the 20th century men tended to live longer than women. So that change has only really happened in the last hundred or so years.
I don't think anyone has suggested that men have less feelings. But, women are allowed to be more outwardly emotional than men, though I do agree that both sexes should practice a degree of stoicism. But again, no one really cares when a woman is not.

Undecidability I don't think anyone has suggested that men have less feelings. LeRaven Sort of a win/lose thing, I feel women have ... more feelings. Kinda sounded that way.

Even if the living longer thing is only a recent development, that doesn't mean it isn't biological. It could just be that conditions for women and men have now reached a certain state which allows women who naturally would live longer to do so.
After all, due to the conditions of the past (disease and what not), the average life span of both genders was much lower than it is now. Disease and things like that probably weren't picky about genders, and so it would appear that both genders were fairly similar in longevity. With so many people dying essentially 'prematurely' i.e. of a cause other than old age and general degradation, we couldn't tell what our actual longevity was.
So it's only when we remove these impediments that we begin to see differences. Men and women might have always have had biological differences in their longevity, but we could only notice this recently because other factors leading to 'premature' death have been removed.

That's true! We discussed this in my Women's Health class. Without women dying in labor, the numbers come out way different. In places with high infant/mother mortality, the lifespans are equal, or bigger for males usually.

noramine Darling Kei Condoms usually don't make a huge significant difference in how much we enjoy sex (if we enjoy penetration at all, that is). Keep telling yourself that. Seeing as I know how both feel, I think I would know if they felt different. o: And, to me, they don't.

Darling Kei Hell, we got off the Titanic first. Yeah all of us that were on the Titanic. neutral
I don't see any of the advantages regarding children/child birth advantageous to me. Just annoying. I think maternity leave/child custody ideas that are biased in favor of women are sexist as hell.

I'd rather get treated than be dead. Part of being a guy is having issues with asking for or receiving help. There's a stigmatization associated with it. Hence, we don't just attempt. We get the job done. Didn't we talk about this before? xp
