"No there are no swans there" Persephone giggled. "Its aswan lake as-wan. Its the name of a temple area. however there are lots of birds there, cranes and seagulls and other waterfowl. Swimming is out because there are also crocodiles but Amun tends to keep them from bothering foxes since he has a temple there. Valley of the elders isnt dangerous its just where we bury our dead and where the elders rest after they had moved on to the next life. You can walk through it but its considered bad form to fly there." she explained happily handling the questions. she loved answering people when she could it was part of the reason she became a scribe so that she would be able to answer anything asked of her.

“Oh.” Ritilanishia blushed at her faux pas. “Oh my apologies. I did not realize that. I thought you said a swan.. I did not know it was the name of a temple. ” She felt very self conscious now of the knowledge se lacked when it came to the outerworld. Few temples existed in her homeland and each was referred to as ‘the temple of’ never was a land named for a temple. Rather the temple was the first thing mentioned about the land. Still it had been pleasing to see her tovarish giggle. She nodded about Persephone’s statement of the valley. “That makes since. One does not fly in the space above the mausoleums where our dead are buried either. It would be impolite to the dead. Are there any other rules I should know of in regards to this land. I do not wish to offend the people or your modieties.”

"well its a better mistake than my father and brother made. No its understandable. When you face cultures different than your own its quite okay to make some mistakes. Do not worry about it. It was kind of cute...ah mm" persephone trailed off and resisted the urge to groan. Yeah just a great thing to slip up on. "hmm well we are pretty lax no harming of the tribe, mmm if we go into an osiris temple we cant eat fish. oh and if there is a ripple in the water you quickly get away from it. Its better for a fox to be silly than dead even if the ripple was caused by something else. Oh and if anything looks strange tell me about it. either its heat stroke or a big cat or those fox eating lizards I was telling you about." she quickly changed topics.

Cute? Really? Rit looked at Persephone wondering if she was toying with her. She was surprised to see the other phim seemed to be sincere in her words. That made Ritilanishia laugh a bit at herself. “I have been called many things, cute is rarely among them. Your people do not eat fish? What other kinds of game do you eat if you live by a river in a desert? It is good to keep one’s life rather than one’s pride. I will be wary of ripples in the water. Heat stroke?” Rit looked a bit confused having never been exposed to heat long enough to have come across anything close to heat stroke in her entire life.

"Well thats because foxes probably only see you as a leader of your house so when you do do cute stuff they just um brush it off... but out here you're like me...?" Persephone pouted a bit not really being able to explain it. "well I can eat fish and other members of the tribe can eat fish but you cant eat fish while you are planning to enter the temple or seven days after entering the temple of osiris. Horus cant eat fish at all. Yes pride is nothing after all if you are dead. We of course still have it but we also" she struggled to find the words "its a different kind of pride I guess. As for heat stroke well it gets you all sick and makes you see things and means you need water. Where we are going is surrounded by the lake and the nile so you dont really associate it as a desert and..." and persephone was mumbling on and on. She sighed and shook her head. She needed to make a good impression not blabber the poor vixen to death.

“I might be leader of a House, but that has little bearing for some foxes. My younger brother Alamar used to call me a pain in the tail when we were younger.. I used to tease him quite a bit. My servants Lil and Emi grew up with me and are my dear tovarishes. They often tell me I’m stubborn or foolish because it is the truth.” Rit smiled at Persephone. “I understand your people have their own pride but it is tempered with caution yes?” She listened carefully about heatstroke. “That is fascinating. There are many bodies of water all around Tzara so I have never heard of foxes developing heatstroke.” Ritilanishia smiled at her friend when she sighed and shook her head. “Why do you sigh my dear tovarish? You know so much of this land and it’s people. I am amazed that one knows fox knows so much on so many different subjects. Are you a scribe of your tribe or a tutor to kits? It seems to me you have the patience for it.”

"ah that's true but even then they are close friends and close friends or siblings never really mention cute points as well. They always think of you as stubborn and foolish mostly because they are your friend." Persephone mused chuckling again. "as dearly as I want to see my brother when we where younger we didn't get along either and he never once called me cute. For the longest time I thought he was put on this planet to annoy me." she admitted. "yes I suppose that would be the best way to describe them. On to the next topic. Well heat stroke doesnt really show up as long as you have water. It only tends to show up around deserts or on really hot days when you get too much sun" Persephone blinked a bit when she realized she had been sighing again. "well i just think I might be boring you with all this information stuff and all. Ah yes I'm a scribe, I have to remember all this stuff so its good I can actually use it other than just for Horus.

Laughing Rit could only nod. “Yes but siblings and friends are too keep you check I suppose.” Slowly she circled in the air around Persephone. The purple storm Phim was absolutely stunning. Ritilanishia felt a little jealous. Here she was being called cute and the purple phim didn’t seem to realize she was the beautiful one. She nodded in thought. “I suppose some would find your vault of knowledge boring. Though I have to admit I do not find this the case. I know nothing of this land other than the small bit my brother’s mate has told me. So I am learning all of this for the first time. I find it all fascinating. To me it is not boring in the least. Besides I enjoy hearing you speak. You have a lovely voice.” Ritilanishia could not help but blush a bit. “I am glad that I am able to help you speak of what you know.”

Persephone laughed instantly thinking of Jaci and Tsuki. They would definitely be under that category. "oh I completely agree with you there. They make sure you dont think too highly of yourself or get to big of an ego and can deal with your temper when you try and challenge them." Persephone pointed out and blinked a bit using her head to follow as Ritilanishia seemed to circle around her. "I try to make it as interesting as possible but there are some subjects you just cant salvage. Ah well Kemet is just one region. There are a ton of different environments out there with their own set of rules and traditions and customs." Persephone explained and turned a bit red again as she was complimented. It was definitely a bad habit of hers or so she was telling herself.

“Yes it seems like every family is like that Or at least some members of the family are.”Rit taped Persephone in the shoulder when the other phim blushed. “Ah ha! She blushing you just did was very cute! Here you thought before that my actions were cute yet you do not notice your own?” Rit’s tail was swishing in the air behind her as she changed the subject so as not to torment her phim tovarish. “You are correct in that your land is one of many and each is different though yours has what others do not. It has a phim who I know and trust enough to call my tovarish. I know of few other foxes in the outerworld. None of whom I like enough to bestow such a title upon.”

"Its not cute! girls are supposed to blush" Persephone stated growing even more red and shaking her head letting her hair fall over her face. Since it was about when it turned pink the blush was successfully covered. Now flying while knowing where she was going was another thing entirely. "well thats good then." she finally managed to say. 'thats good then.. thats good then? ugh that was stupid' she berated herself in her head. "ah no thats not what I meant... "maybe its a good thing my brother is off in Solarie lands"

“You are a female so the blush is just fine.” Ritilanishia laughed and playfully pushed at Persephone’s hair though she did not move it completely out of the way. “It is cute as are you. ” Now Ritilanishia was a bit confused. “Why is it good that your brother is in the Solarie lands? Would he be offended that I call you my tobarish? Do your own people have no word for it? It is not a bad thing.” Rit looked at the purple phim slightly concerned. Had she crossed a line without knowing it?

"No its not you. Its me, the mumbling and the hiding and the blushing. He would tease me and never let me live it down. So its a good thing he's not here so I wouldnt be made fun of. Its nothing you've done really" Persephone stated willing her hair back. Shaking her head again to hide was childish and she was grown up.... really. Wait she was cute and not just the blush. This sent a slight shiver of fear down her spine yet at the same time also made her twice as red. She was sure she could light up a dark room by now.

Rit turned her head and smiled. ”I am glad that it is not something I have caused.” She giggled a bit. “I was worried that you would misunderstood the meaning of the word tovarish. It is silly, but some concepts are so difficult to explain across different cultures. As a scribe I am certain you are wary of this.” Ritilanishia removed her paw from Persephone’s soft hair. “Should we head to this aswan lake now or would you prefer to walk the valley of your elders.” In truth Rit was fine with either option. They could stretch their wings flying to either place before landing and walking.

Persephone smiled again and shook her head. "No I mean it to believe something along the lines of cherished Comrade" Persephone stated worrying the bottom of her lip and thought about the whole misunderstanding of words. It was true meanings and words could be different as you passed around to different tribes and clans. "mmm aswan lake would probably be better. Valley of the elders... it has a weird eerie feeling to the place. Almost as if..." Persephone trailed off thinking about it.
