Nothing.
They had accomplished absolutely nothing.
The warmth of the sunrise was immediately followed by the unwelcoming coldness of the Negaverse subspace, and Uranophane's expression had descended to subzero temperatures that matched the environment she was suddenly in. She stared at the ground, saying nothing... and for a while, thinking nothing.
But then everything caught up to her, and her jaw clenched in frustration. With one smarting gloved hand she ripped her goggles clean off her face, and threw them to the ground with an unintelligible snarl.
Uranophane sauntered across the mirrored floor for a moment, before spotting Zinkenite and wordlessly taking a spot next to him. She didn't seem to notice -- or was too polite to point out -- that there were tears brimming over his eyes. Instead, she simply, bitterly said, "Well, wasn't that completely ******** pointless."

Bismuthite, content to see that Tanzanite was at least somewhat alright continued his visual assessment. So many injuries..he had been lucky. He hadn't held anything back, but still, he had been lucky. Especially after being accosted by two supers early on. He felt odd now, standing there. He didn't know these people he had fought along side. Not by name or personally. so he just stayed near the one person he did know.

There was no word for what happened when you went past furious. Well there was, but Linarite refused to consider 'insane with anger' for even a moment. She wasn't crazy and anyone that tried to tell her that she was crazy was going to be on the receiving end of such displeasure that snuggling up to Beryl naked seemed like a better idea. Tanzanite's query was answered with a wordless scream of rage as the sand-coated young woman stood and smashed her staff into the wall so hard the ball on the end shattered. The glass tinkled on the floor like little stars, and then she heard her name again.
"Petal?!" Panic came on wings to cut through anger like a keen knife. She knew her cousin in the most perfect of ways and there was something wrong that her Rosie was calling out for her like that. Otherwise she would have come over or something. There was a moment when gold eyes looked at Tanz across the room and a reassuring smile went from one young woman to another, and then white hands were pushing through the crowd. She would have loved a hug from her friend, but that was dicey on a normal day, let alone right now. Now was just...bad.
"Get out of my way. I swear to God if a single of you stand between me and my cousin I'll end you where you stand." Being a general had a few perks. Very few these days, but the crowd melted and there was Petalite, laying on her stomach all pale. Hands reached down and checked her body. No broken arms or legs. "What's wrong honey?"

Zanazziite couldn't ignore the black gunk that was spewing out of Tanzanite's mouth, or the ribs and pieces of flesh that were being expelled as well. But she swallowed her nausea, she needed to be strong. She failed at fighting and would compensate by not being weak now.
She watched as Tanzanite attempted to get up, and she tried to move in to help, but there wasn't much she could do as the General slumped against the wall. So, instead she just sat next to her, stroking arm gently like she would an injured puppy. She didn't mind her lap being used as a bed for the youma, it broke her heart to see how tore up Arm and Tanzanite was.
She looked to the older woman's face smiling slightly. "I'll stay here with you, if that's alright." Her voice was soft, and she didn't stop her stroking of the youma-arm, careful not to touch its injuries.

"That we do." She murmured in response to Raite, Serandite's shaky legs leading her towards the sitting captain. "Alkaid-- Anyone that's free, round them up for medicine. We've got some, don't we?" Her head tipped to the next room over while her hands worked at ripping off large parts of her kimono sleeve.
Those heavy cloths came in handy sometime.
"We can't go to a hospital Wolframite. If anything, those senshi will be flowing into them-- When the news gets wind of dozens of kids going there, it'll be problematic." Serandite's voice came out muffled, her teeth holding onto a section of the cloth while her hand forcibly ripped it.
She was at Raite's side, wrapping a thin strip around the worse of his cuts, on his arm. Uranophane's words echoed dimly through the large room, resonating.
"We got nothing done-- save for lowering their numbers. But so are ours." She hollowly echoed, her hands wiping away the blood on Raite's expression. Her old friend-- how he seemed suited for battle far more than she. Naturally, he wouldn't come back without proving it.

"Peachy..." groaned Zinkenite in reply to Tanz's queery... "God I hope that rib wasn't yours." and rubbed at his eyes... "******** burns." He said trying to make an excuse for the inexcusable show of weakness. "********.... god...DAMN leopard. How the hell am I going to explain that." He hissed and closed his eyes again.
He managed to push himself up again just enough to give Scheelite a look before laying back down. "Schee... that knee needs the hospital... if you have the energy go." He almost said 'that's an order' but he had no right to... after today's performance perhaps he never would have that right. It was not the first time he wondered if they could be demoted for incompetence.
A pause..."Pointless..." He agreed quietly, cold frustration curling in his chest again. God he wanted to sleep forever, it was clouding his judgement.. it was clouding everything, nothing seemed to really filter though all the ache. "... What did we learn from it..." he half asked the floor, "Did we learn anything... or was it just an exchange of blood..."

Scheelite looked up briefly at the clatter that signaled goggles to ground. He reached out to grab them, but being nowhere near close enough it was a fruitless effort. Shame...they were really shiny, and he liked them, and some strange part of him felt he would be just that much better if he could piss off Uranophane like old times.
"General Tanzanite!" Came the reply that was rather uncharacteristically respectful. Usually he called her Tanzy. "I...can't stand. Senshi got my knee with her spear, I dunno how bad it is but I suspect it's pretty bad. It...hurts so much and I still tried, I tried so hard." He was sobbing now, both from pain and the absolute frustration of how much they had lost and how little this battle mattered in the grand scheme of things.
"I want to go back, to fight. End this war now." Brave words from the odd captain. But as soon as Zink gave his 'order' (the blonde would always feel Zink was capable of giving him orders), he broke down once again. "Can't man...I've...got no energy for that." He needed to rest before he could even think of teleporting himself anywhere near a hospital.

When Petalite heard her cousin's voice she let out a breath she hadn't realized she was holding. The thought that Linarite hadn't survived the battle never occurred to her until the pause between her calling out and Jojo answering. "I'm over here!" She called out again, her cheek against the cold floor. This was so embarrassing.
The relief of seeing the blue haired General overwhelmed the orange haired girl, and she felt tears leaking from the corners of her eyes. She managed to reach out taking Lina's hand in hers, tugging her down so she could whisper to her. "Don't you dare laugh at me, but....it's my a**, some b***h knocked me down and I think I broke something." She stared at her Jojo with narrowed eyes, she knew the situation was ridiculous, and she was half expecting her to laugh and ask her what was really wrong.

Alkaid barely managed to contain herself, shifting where she stood. She wanted to help but she had no idea where to even start as Tanzanite vomited up bone after bone and a great deal of raw flesh. It was grotesque but Alkaid could feel her need to help itching at her.
Once Tanzanite got herself up into a slumped position against the wall, she breathed a small sigh of relief. When she spoke, Alkaid managed something between a grimace and a smile. "Don't worry about me," she said, though it was somewhat evading her question. She was alright enough that she didn't want anyone wasting energy on her.
Luckily, General Serandite provided a good enough distraction - Alkaid could put her restlessness into helping people. "I'll check," she murmured, disappearing through doors that led to a supply room she could only assume was reserved for medical resources. She was gone a few moments before she came back with her hands full of first aid kits balanced beneath boxes of bandages and medicine. She walked carefully, as if she were afraid it might all tip over, and finally managed to set it down in a clear space.
"There's more in there if we need it," she let out a long breath and looked around her at the dozens of negaverse soldiers that were dripping blood. "I can start bandaging up anyone that needs it." She waved a clean roll of gauze in her hand, looking from one injured soldier to the next - where in the world was she even supposed to start?

A set of delicate footsteps echoed across the room and above all the murmurs of pain and frustration, and with it there was that familiar large dark aura, disheveled green corkscrews bouncing in the darkness as General-Queen Laurelite entered from a darkened archway to assess the damages the Negaverse had sustained. She, too, hadn't left the fight without her own share of suffering. Her left arm was riddled with angry-looking burns, especially on her fingers, the sleeve that once covered it mostly scorched and singed away.
Her right hand, however, was still undamaged, and it was from that one that there was a radiation of something recognizably invigorating: she had dozens of tiny orbs of pure energy at the ready, and as she reached the first of the wounded she began dispensing them one by one.
"Please take one, all of you," she began, "and begin your recovery. This may seem like a hopeless time, but our battle is not over yet."

She lowered her gaze too, thinking about the battle in her head. The once bloodlust that she had... was dwindling down. The wounds she had were starting to hurt just a BIT more.
Being telelported originally out of the shower, once she left the subspace... she would once again be there and see her wounds.
owch, not only that but her water bill was going to suck. She hoped her bathroom wasn't flooded.
Looking around she listened intently, remembering the bodies she had stepped over... both comrad and foe. "Outnumbered... we did make a dent in their numbers..."
She said outloud. "...But we really did not accomplish anything other than bloodshed, did we? heh.." She peered around, noticing that she was near Zink...well near enough to lift herself up and walk towards him. "... You guys look like the giant senshi ball ran you over." She asked eying zink and scheelite as she stated the obvious about the whole room. Really she had no shame as she sat down near them. ******** standing, she was hurting.

Tanzanite watched with tired eyes as Linarite snapped, unable to find joy even in the frustration that she had always found so entertaining. The moment their eyes met, she managed a faint smile, enough to show Linarite that yes, she would live. Once the bluenette had moved on to attend to her cousin, Tanzanite's attention was back on those beside her. Reluctant as she was to offer help, the youma part of her felt a certain affinity for the strange Lieutenant now holding her arm, and she she did not push Zanazziite away.
She seemed quite content to lay there for a moment, but only for a moment. When the talking started.. the doubting and the questioning, her voice raised.
“Shut. The. ********. Up,” she snapped at the lot of them, fury evident in her tone, “We did what our Queen commanded of us. Without her,” she paused, glancing from one upset face to another, “you would be victims of the senshi like everyone else you know. You would be in your bed, warm and safe and uninjured, just waiting for them to take over. Every injury you have sustained is a sacrifice to that cause. So quit your ******** crying, see to your wounds,” she hissed as she attempted to sit uprigt, her body screaming in protest, “And get ready to fight another day.”
She accepted the orb when Laurelite offered it, and the light vanished into her almost immediately. The light gray patches on her arm darkened a bit.
"Bismuthite," she looked around for the new Lieutenant, "Are you okay?"

"And how do we know the enemy's not preparing to go right back there as we speak, Tanzanite?" Uranophane responded, her heady gaze turning towards the General. "You saw how easily they made their entrance, they couldn't even bother to be proud of their efforts!"
She imbibed her energy furiously, crunching the little pearl loudly enough that the noise reverberated across the whole room.
"For all we know, we just delayed an inevitability. They're going to go back. We all know this."

"...Alkaid?" He said suddenly, and somewhere in the back of his mind a memory clicked into place, the hair...it had utterly thrown him, so different but he'd seen her once, back when he was just... "Alkaid." He said again more a request now than a question. "Could you... take Fayalite's lantern poll...or something like it and help secure Scheelite's leg?" He asked quietly. "At least until he gets to the hospital..." he winced... "I...could use someone to look at the leopards work...I don't think anything else is as bad." He did take the tiny orb, though his face was wary. He had yet to eat one...not even a star seed, at least this hadn't been pulled out of someone's chest but all the same. His odd reservations about eating them, he almost thought to offer it to someone else but... that probably would have been rude.
He froze though at Tanzinite's anger. "We...did what she asked, but we didn't do good ENOUGH... isn't that the point here?!" He bristled fury as much driving him again as anything. "We FAILED... we didn't loose ground but we didn't GAIN it either... it's just not GOOD ENOUGH."

Bismuthite stared at the energy in his hand, then jerked to attention at the sound of his name. "I am fine, for the most part. Nothing serious, anyway," He said to Tanzanite, whom he was standing quite near to.
Not that he hadn't given what he could. He had just been lucky. Extremely lucky. And there were others who needed the energy Laurelite gave him more than he did. His uniform was tattered, his silver hair was clumped together with blood, and plastered to his face, and he had a pretty good cut on his shoulder, but it was nothing compared to everyone else. Oh, but he was proud of himself though. But him being proud didn't mean much. After all, he worked for the praise of others. That, amongst a select few other things, is what drove him. But now he had a mental debate at hand - literally. To made good with the energy expended to him, or to help someone in more need than he?
