"Well that explains a lot" she mumbled sarcastically picking up her fork to pick at her food which earlier she had been so hungry for but now made her a bit nauseous. "I shall see you when you return then Jun have a nice... time?" she ended lamely

He kinda chuckled. "I don't know about 'nice time' but I'll come back, hopefully, alive." He walked towards the door. "Have a good night. And you can put your food in the fridge if you don't want to finish it now." Junketsu waved and walked out.

Mai sighed covering the food and placing it in the fridge "I'll warm up a plate later if I'm hungry" she told herself. Heading back upstairs to her room she grabbed a t shirt and shorts out of some drawers and panties out of another. Finding the bathroom she showered luxuriating in the feel of the warm water washing away the past week. Drying off afterward she pulled on her clothes and went to her room climbing under the covers, fully expecting to sleep this time. When sleep failed to come she decided to explore the house instead, hopping from the bed she set off down the hall and found room after beautifully refurbished room bathrooms, bedrooms, rooms she didn't know what use they had, and a small library filled with books. There was a room she hadn't looked in yet and opening the door she knew instinctively it was Jun's room and he probably wouldn't be too happy with her snooping

3 hours later, Junketsu stumbled in the house, bloody and bruised from work. 'Man I hate those things...' he thought rubbing his neck as he walked upstairs to the bathroom only to see his room door opened. 'I don't remember leaving that open...'. Junketsu walked in and saw Mai looking around. He leaned against the door post. "You like my room?" he asked her.

Mai whirled around surprise written on her face, "yes it's very nice" she said gaining control of herself and raising her chin defiantly. "You have a beautiful home" she told him matter of factly edging around him and out of his room. "Though I do apologize I shouldn't have gone in there it was rude of me" she said her polite side winning out

He closed his eyes and looked at Mai. "I don't mind you looking around. It's just a way for you to find out about me without me telling you. I told you you could do what you please." He went to his drawer and took out his pajamas. "You may continue if you want. I'm taking a shower." Junketsu walked off to the bathroom in his room and closed the door.

Mai left his room closing his door lightly behind her, using the map she had constructed in her minds eye she went to the library. Walking among the shelves she read the titles as she passed them taking her time. Finding one that interested her she pulled it off the shelf and flipped through it reading a few passages, interested she took a seat and started at the beginning

Junketsu layed against the shower wall, letting the warm water wash away the visual of blood, but not the smell. He could smell it either way. After some time, he left the shower and got dressed in a black baggy shirt with beastly scratches on it in read with the word 'Beast' within them. He also wore black baggy pajama pants and let his hair stick to his face. He walked downstairs toward the kitchen and made hisself some grilled cheese sandwiches. 'Ugh...my head still hurts..' he thought as he looked out the window at the starry sky, still eating his sandwich.

Mai flipped a page now a few chapters into the story it was pretty fascinating so far it was a romance novel and while she normally wasn't into those kinds of books this one was rather good.

After he was done eating, Junketsu staggered to his room to pass by the library seeing Mai read. He decided not to bother her, so he just kept walking to his room. When he got there, he flopped on his bed and fell asleep.
