Tenma kept moving, his eyes showing nothing but a hollow inside. He didn't stop, merely moved past and away from her. Dammit, turn around! No, he couldn't. Maybe he needed to stop fighting it. Maybe if he accepted it would let go? Was this a pathetic hope? Yes. It was. It would never work. Could never work. He was never going to win this fight with himself. So, why try?
No.
This was not how it was supposed to be! He couldn't give in anymore! He needed to fight!
.....
Why?

Hm... The vixen began trotting again, staying back to think but keeping her love in sight. What was it that Kithara had said about this? It was... like sleepwalking? She knew it wasn't good to wake a sleepwalker, but if the sleepwalker was in trouble a fox pretty much wouldn't have a choice. What about wandering? If she tried to snap Tenma from it, would it be bad? Should she just follow until he came to? No, no that was a bad idea. Kithara and Tenma both have said he's been known to wander like this for days...
Once again, Champagne paused, thinking for a brief second. Then, suddenly, she knew what she would do. Springing forward with enough force to kick up a nice pile of dried, dead leaves, the vixen pelted after Tenma. Right when she got on his tail, she cried out his name and tackled him to the ground with her teeth in his scruff as if he were her kit. Once on the ground, she sprawled across his body, pinning him, while still keeping a firm grip on his scruff in case he freaked out. No way was Champagne letting her Tenma keep going. She had to try to break him of these spells that nearly tore them apart once before. He had to stop thinking he wasn't good for her, because he was the best thing that ever happened to her.
She just hoped Tenma could tell it was her that was on him.

Tenma nearly snapped. His eyes flashed open and he jerked his entire body. Something was on him. Something was on him. He snarled, his incredible body strength nearly throwing the weight off. He snarled, thrashed, and growled lowly. He was always known for being strong, always known for being powerful, but calm. However, a scent reached his nose and he nearly fell, lowering his body and blinking.
Champagne?
He went still, eyes wide. Had she...? He had fallen down a hill once and woke with bruises, but even that had not awaken him from his trance. So why her? He titled his head back, attempting to crawl away.
"W-what? W-why'd you do that?"

Ahhh! Just as she had figured, Tenma had freaked out. His growls and snarls nearly scared her half to death. Champagne still managed to hold firm to his scruff, despite the thrashing that may or may not have caused a few bruises and her jaws going almost numb, and she was quite happy when he calmed down.
She was even more happy when he spoke.
"Tenma!" Quickly the vixen let go, skittered off of him, and began licking his ruffled fur. "I-I'm sorry... I-I thought maybe I c-could snap you out of it..." And it looked like she did. It looked like... "It worked..."

Tenma stared at her, eyes wide. What the hell was wrong with her?! Why was she still here? He almost threw her off, almost ran away from her, but he didn't. He was scared. He was so scared. This was a world he was not used to. This was a world he was not used to. A world where someone could snap him from his trance.
He suddenly felt cornered. His entire life, his entire life he wandered. Away from father Yuki and papa Ixen. And now here he was. Champagne had snapped him out of it. He stared at her, startled for a second.
"Champagne, how did you do that?"

"I-I don't know!" Champagne was shocked and happy that she had actually snapped him from his trance, but she was also extremely concerned. Tenma didn't look happy at all. "I-I just figured... well K-Kithara s-said when you wandered i-it was like sleepwalking... s-so I thought maybe I-I could wake you... I-I just kinda t-tackled you... a-and held your scruff i-in case you freaked out... wh-which you did, and I f-figured you would..."
The vixen skittered back a little bit, lowered to the ground. "I-I'm s-sorry... ple-please don't be m-mad..." Did she just mess up? Did he not want to stop wandering? He seemed so upset... Upset with her... Champagne wanted to crawl away and curl up in a hole somewhere.

He merely stared at her. Something in the back of his mind hissed, something crushed, and he felt it vanish. He continued to stare at her, until she skittered away, eyes widening and moving closer to her, bumping noses with her. His stare became a smile, and then a laugh.
"No. No no no. You did something amazing. No one has ever done that before. Kithara has tried. Yuki has tried. I was shocked. Champagne, you are so so special. You didn't do anything wrong, at all." His ears flicked, staring at the sky for a brief second. Rain was coming, he should probably celebrate in a sheltered area.

Her ears perked at his laugh. He called her special... Grinning, she pounced Tenma to the ground again, this time lovingly, and licked his fur all over. He wasn't upset with her. He was just shocked. Thank the Deities.
Champagne could smell rain on the wind, but she didn't care. "Does this mean we can really be together? You'll stop thinking you're not good enough for me? C-cause if you wander again, I can stop you! ... Do you think you'll wander again? Or..." Did she totally cure him?

((He hasn't been cured yet. Dramatic moment in the future~))
He turned to her, nodding at every question. "I'll join Yasashii. I'll stay with you. As long as you want me to." He nuzzled her cheek, pulling away with a sharp twitch. Rain. His ears flicked, turning his head to the side. Yasashii was some ways away, they had wandered a bit to find items for the tribe. Now, they needed to find shelter. It smelled like a violent storm coming, and he wanted Champagne to be safe. He turned to her, eyes scanning the golden vixen before nodding.
His mate.
"Lets celebrate under shelter."

Champagne nuzzled him back, smiling. "Really? I hope you know this means forever~" And the vixen couldn't be any happier.
She nodded at Tenma's suggestion, it seemed like nature was raring up for a good storm. While she hated being so far from camp grounds, as she had let Tenma wander quite a ways before she stopped him, she was happy to have the chance to curl up in a shelter somewhere with the male. It reminded her of their first fateful encounter... She also remembered that dream and couldn't help a blush. All that time ago, she thought she had lost him. Now he was here again, and she knew she would never lose him again.

Tenma pulled Champagne to a small cave, making sure to keep an eye on the sky. A small raindrop fell here and there, and he was grateful when he finally had found the cave. He leapt inside, clearing the space for her to lay down without getting dirt in her fur. He turned to her, shaking his head.
"I am going to find us something to eat before the storm hits."

The vixen had to giggle at Tenma's chilvery, and she had to resist the urge to roll in the dirt out of silliness. Instead Champange gave the male a quick lick on the cheek. "I could help, if you'd like?" She knew they'd find more quicker hunting together, but with the sudden politeness her mate was showing, she got the idea he was wanting to take care of her. The vixen felt a little shy about it, she was the one who was supposed to take care of everyone else, that was her job in the tribe. The tribe that Tenma would join her in. The tribe that became her home...
Smiling to herself, Champange rubbed her cheek against Tenma's.

He gave her a quiet glance, the normally quiet male shook his head at her question, patting the ground with a paw. "No, stay here and rest." He mused, tail flicking slightly. He liked to be the big protector, always had. He sent her a smile, something the male often only shared with her and his family, and even then only Nitya and Kithara. In the back of his mind he wondered what this meant now, them being mates. She would be with him forever, until they passed away. He would belong to her, and she him.
This caused the slightly smirk to widen slightly as he turned to find her food, ears relaxing ever so slightly, his tail wagging at a slow but content pace. For once, he was truly happy.

With a small laugh, the tri-colored vixen lay down where her mate was patting. "Oh, alright. But you be careful! I don't like the scent of the weather..." As if to emphasize her point, the clouds cracked out a roll of thunder. Champagne nearly leapt to her paws, but Tenma's contented tail wag reassured her. He wasn't worried, why should she be? Right?

He vanished from site once he left the cave, entering the tall grass despite the sound of ominous weather. He didn't contemplate that hard rain would fall down and beat against his fur, or, lightening would flash and seconds later thunder would follow. When it happened he was to far out, looking for food for his mate, and, he didn't even fathom to think about the fact that his eyes were slowly glazing over, and, the thought of catching prey began to become blankness. Nor later would he remember paws hitting the ground in a steady rhythm as he moved away from his mate in a dream-like-state, something he had believed was gone seconds ago.
No, he had thought he would catch her prey and make her smile, plop down beside her and tell her that he would stay in Yasashii just for her. That he would even care for kits if she wanted any in the future. But, sadly, that's not how things work.
