"NO!" He sounded angry, though when he looked at her it was clear he wasn't angry at her, but for her. Moving over to her and resting his forehead to hers, forehead to nose, his eyes closing as he takes a calming breath. "No Sherbert never say something like that, you deserve so much more than settling for someone. Your wonderful and fun and pretty and very easy to talk to. You deserve to be first and loved so deeply that you feel it even when your alone. Never settle for anything less than that." Looking at her finally, his eyes opening, not prone to this kind of behaviour, but it was what he felt. He might not have fallen for her right away but he liked her, and he wanted to come back once he had at least seen his family. Part of him wanted her to meet them too when he knew it was ok, though he thought it might be a little soon fir such things.
She was a kind little mare, he wondered if she saw him underneath or just didn't know about the troubles he had gotten into. It was probably both, but maybe if she could still think well of him when she really got to know him he might actually love her. Sighing softly and stepping back so he wasn't invading her space any more. Looking at her quietly with his blue eyes, a little embarrassed from his outburst but he didn't like it when people that deserved the best settled for less. Looking back up the hill not wanting to go just yet he started walking back up it. "Right, lets give this another go..." The really dizzy feeling at the end had not been fun, though it had been funny to not be able to stand up. Giving her a smile. "Come on you need to show me what I did wrong."
He wanted her to smile again, she was too worried about him being happy when she should be focused on her happyness, well maybe she would find someone who looked out for that for her, selfless ones like her needed someone to watch out for them, especially their feelings. Well untill she found her true love he would keep an eye on her, after all he did like her, and he couldn't get to know her if he had no reason to come back, so she would be his reason. Stopping and looking back at her with a quirked eyebrow. "Well?" His expression a little cheeky, stripy mane and tail twinkling as the light shifted thanks to some passing clouds, he was all sparkles as he looked down the hill to her, waiting for her to join him in her rolling game again.

She was shocked when he yelled out and suddenly got close to her. However she closed her eyes and took in the moment quite enjoying being close to him. He must of felt something for her as a friend or he would of just made fun of her. She did care about his problems even if she hardly knew him.
"I see someone who shows potential right infront of me! Dont down yourself your not at all bad! I would not settle it would be called falling in love with who my heart leads me to..I can feel you care about me and for that i am happy..We many not share the same feelings but at the same time we do..You both deserve to be loved and i can see that happening.."
Her eyes were still closed when he opened his. She was taking this all in knowing it would not happen again. This was the closet she had ever been to anyone and when he left she would be alone longing for this feeling again. She did not understand love but she was starting to grasp the concept of it. She opened her eyes when she felt him step away and realized she had been holding her breath. If she did fall for him though she would not be settling for less..She would be falling for someone who she could help get over the past..She would always love whoever she ended up with.
"Well i suppose if you up to it!" She smiles at him and starts to walk up the hill hoping he will walk with her "You did many things wrong but it was funny!"
She hopped he would come back to her hill again in the future. She wanted him to stay if only for the night though she always went to sleep looking at the stars with an empty feeling in her heart. He could be a friend to give advice if nothing more and she would be grateful even for that. Her heart was heavy now though seeing as his feelings were different from hers. He must just not be the one for her but could he be?
"I would be glad to show you what you did wrong. You do look rather stunning in the sun"
She smiled knowing her little joke and shook her mane out deciding what she should teach him first. This was the most fun she had in ages and now all her worries were slipping away. She was back to the little ball of energy she had been before.

Carrying on up the hill with her, only able to smile at her complement, never having thought he looked stunning, but then he had little idea what he looked like apart from when he sometimes saw his face in a lake. Though he had nothing to say about most of what she had said, he didn't want to argue with her, what she saw and felt and believed were hers to freely do so, though he didn't totally agree. Instead he just smiled and carried on up the hill, that he would soon be rolling down... Again...
He felt a faintly sick sensation as he remembered the world spinning, though he could only hope that it was something that would pass as a side effect from this game, especially if it was her favourite, he wouldn't be much use as a friend if her game made him feel sick and fall over every time. "Your going to need to show me, otherwise I don't think that I will ever get it." He had always enjoyed rolling in grass, especially longer grass, but that had never involved hills... Ah well, new experiences are what makes the world go round after all.
Smiling to her as they reach the top of the hill. (sorry this one is short, my muse is not very co-operative at the moment)

She knew sometimes it was hard to get adjusted to rolling. The first time she ever went down the hill was fun but she came up very dizzy and felt horrible. She kept at it however and now she did consider herself to be a very good hill roller. She did notice the expression on his face but only smiled back at him feeling her fondness for him growing. He would be as good as her if he kept trying despite how he felt. Once he had it right hopefully he would love rolling as much as she did if not she would think of other things they could do. Even if he did not like to roll she knew he would still be her best friend after all he had already stayed longer then the other ever had must of been another reason her feelings were growing.
"You will get it just fight the feelings and roll" she smiles at him and sees he smiles back as the reach the top of the hill "Are you ready..? On your marks..Get set..Im going to push you..!"

Darius had been working himself into a rolling position while she had been speaking, though his head shot up at the last moment when he herd the word push. "Push?!" Though he had to soon duck his head as she did indeed push him.
The damage was done however, looking up had made him out of shape and all the way down the hill he wailed, this time feeling worse than the last. No doubt she would find his being such a baby very funny as from the top of the hill she saw a rolling pink mini going "Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh" all the way down.
When he reached the bottom he lay there with his head on his hooves, waiting for his stomach to stop rolling, groaning softly. He would wait for the sick feeling to pass before he tried that again... He would also find a hill and practice when she wasn't around... Part of him wanted to impress her with his improvement the next time they played the game.
He hadn't moved or looked up the hill, though he knew she would soon be joining him at the bottom. Still he couldn't move, she could use him as a break if she wanted to, he wasn't budging till he felt less sick and giddy. Which would be soon he was beginning to feel more normal already.

As she was getting ready to push him she noticed he was trying to look back at her but she already pushed him. She watched him tumble down all crooked and was in horror as he started to yell. Why had he put his head up?? He should of said he was not ready yet not he could be in pain and it was her fault! If he was hurt..She would end up crying of course she had done something wrong but she kept watching till he ended up in a heap at the bottom. He was not even moving! Now she was worried sick about him because yes she was still feeling something for him. She quickly sped down the hill not bother to roll being careful not to trip and stumble. She hoped he was ok..what if he was badly hurt..? She pushed those thoughts out of her mind as she got closer to him. She heard him groaning that was a relief at least he was not well..dead...Nevermind that thought she landed on her back feet pain rocking her body but she quickly got up and moved over to help him. She never though her sport could be so dangerous of course she would always love it though just not try and teach others..Perhaps there was a better way put a pile of grass at the bottom of the hill as padding..?

His head lifting as she gets over to him, having expected a rolling pink Sherbert, looking at her puzzled as he gets up, he would have a few bruises but other than being a little sore from those he was fine. Looking her over, having caught her stumble. "Are you ok?" A little embarrassed, the yelling had more been from the view, his head being in the wrong place had made the spinning all the worse. Looking guilty and a little shamefaced, knowing just from the fact she came running after him he had worried her. "I'm sorry." His ears flattening, he really did look penatent, he would be even more so if she had hurt herself in her rush to check on him. Looking at her concerned, his worry making his still rolling stomach feel worse, but that would pass once he had waited a little, and it would take time to get used to this sport. Moving closer and giving her a worried nuzzle, peeking up at her, knowing it was his fault if she was hurt. Looking very much the cute guilty puppy.

She got right up to him and then she saw his head move. She let out breath she did not know she was holding when she saw him get up. "Im fine but what about you???Are you ok???" she frantically circles him looking for any cuts or scrapes her eyes full of worry. She would not settle down untill she knew if he was ok she had pushed him so if he was hurt she would take the blame. She was very caring deep under all her childness. She noticed his ears go down flat on his head not knowing what that meant but having an idea he felt guilty but so did she. "Sorry fr what..? Im sorry for pushing you i should of stopped.." she looks away trying hard not to cry but the tears come out anyways she felt him though come closer and comfort her. She looks down to see his eyes wide looking up at her but yes he was very comforting those eyes..the way he was shining..was he like an angel come down to save her from being alone..?

Still looking guilty he nodded to all she was saying, yes he was fine and she was clearly worried and feeling guilty just like him. Lifting his head again standing up normally he moved closer and drew her close with his head and neck, pulling her into a gentle hug. "Shhh don't worry, I was just in the wrong position the spinning is why I was yelling... So I'm sorry for worrying you, and I really hope you didn't hurt yourself in your rush to check on me.
Keeping her close, having calmed down himself as she seemed fine and was genuinely upset. Just holding her, murmering softly to her. "You didn't do anything wrong or bad." Voice soft as he holds her, letting her calm down.

She stops crying when suddenly she feels his body next to hers and an embrace of a hug. She tries to wipe the tears from her eyes with her leg just like a dog would and could. "Well..as long as your ok but you really scared me..i thought you were broken or had broken something..im fine and you are to..?"She looks up at him now enjoying the warmth his body gives off taking in the moment falling even more in love with him. He soft voice..She felt better already just being next to him comforted by his efforts.

Nodding and offering her a lopsided smile. "Yes I'm fine, I just didn't want to move till the spinning stopped." He was fine, he could feel a bruise or two starting on him but bruises were easy to get and just as easy to vanish, he needn't tell her about them. Still holding her gently till she was calmed, stepping back a little to give her space again. Smiling gently to her, she was fine, he was fine, it was all good. Though his smile faltered a little as he looked up and saw that the sun had moved to nearly mid day.
Looking to her his eyes apologetic. "I think I should go and find my family, let them know I'm back, and alive and well." It had been a very long time since they had seen or herd from him. His expression going guilty again. His eyes sincere though, that was the only reason he was going. "I will come back again soon though and we can try teaching me more about rolling." And he would, he wanted to get to know this mini mare a little better, he already had a soft spot for her.
Grinning finally and plucking one of the stars from his hair he attached it to her mane by where her feather was. "I'll come back to get that, promise." With a wink and a grin he started off down the far side of the hill towards where he had indicated his family lived, sparkling as he went.
