Arachne laughed; 'I suppose it is! How terrible am I for intruding on you in a public space.' she said, with only the slightest trace of sarcasm on her voice.
'Like that is it? Are you difficult all the time, or is this just a special effort when your private time in a public area is disturbed?' she poked her tongue out. It was funny, she thought of herself as difficult and antisocial but she was a teddy bear compared to him!
'I'm Arachne, if you at all care. I'd say it was nice to meet you, but then you've been welcoming so would you believe it?' If she had her tarot cards with her now would be about the time she would get them out and pretend she was off to do a reading. But she didn't.

"Terrible indeed. Don't forget, you were the one who snuck up on me," Rosc replied with a smirk. He had no deranged fantasies about being friends with this ghoul, he didn't have friends. But at least he knew there was another demon to add to his list of "not completely stupid individuals". At the very least it was a name to drop should he need to. Or someone to partner up with in class if he was forced to.
"Oh, I pride myself on being difficult." It usually keeps others away.
"Probably not. I'm not a pleasant person." And that was as good enough queue as he would get. He scooped Ripley back up and stood, placing her carefully back in his pocket. "I think I've had enough air and socializing for today, Miss Arachne," he said with a formal dip of his head. He was ready to leave, but would give her a moment, in case she had anything else to say.

'That I did, will you ever forgive me?' Arachne said, and she stood as well, brushing her dress down as it settled around her feet again, straightening, muscles giving a little complaint from sitting still on the ground.
'So do I, well the pride bit anyway. If I'm very very difficult, others won't come to me for readings, and I won't secure favours from them.' she arched a fine brow.
'No kidding? I enjoyed myself regardless. I think I shall think of you with a warm dislike.' she laughed, and gave a mock curtsey to his bow.
'Before you leave, as we mean so little to each other, would you be interested in escorting me to the Demon's Only party?' she hadn't actually asked him what he was, but she rarely got a student's race species wrong.

"Probably not. I tend to hold a grudge." His voice held a small tease to it, knowing full well that he was barely going to pass another thought on her. Well, that's how it usually went.
Oh, so she was a fortune teller, then? Interesting. Didn't help him much, he didn't think it was a good thing to know too much about one's future. You tended to focus too much on it if you did.
His smirk faded slightly when she asked about the party. "Escorting you? What exactly would that entail?" His tone was simply curious rather than suspicious. He'd probably just say no, that he didn't want to do it. Or he could tell her he wasn't sure he would even be going, with was true. He was still on the fence about it.

'Alas..' Arachne shook her head at that most terrible of thoughts. It was amazing how verbose and jokey she could be, but only around someone like himself - or maybe it was simply that in comparison she just wasn't quite so unfriendly?
'Don't get the wrong idea.' she said with a little smirk. 'You'd just be taking me to the party, when we get there you can do your own thing. No strings..'
She looked steadily at him. She'd gotten a particular invite being part of the Demon elite club, and it really wouldn't do to turn up on her own.
'Look, I just want to show up with a demon boil that is relatively attractive, you fit the bill perfectly, especially as we like each other so, so very much.'

"Ah, well then," Rosc replied, pausing to think on it for a moment. Was he really going to go? Yeah, probably. It would give him a chance to see his fellow demons, to watch, maybe even get some insight on what it is some of them truly desired. Would he want to show up with a demoness on his arm? Maybe. It might ruin his 'piss-off' reputation before he even got it started, but... Eh, he could make up for it afterwards.
"I suppose I wouldn't mind taking you," he added with a small dip of his head, doing his best to ignore the 'relatively attractive' comment. He turned away then and took a few paces back to the dorm before he remembered something and glanced over his shoulder at her.
"As a heads up, I only have black, gray, and dark red in my wardrobe, in case you don't want to clash." That said, he turned back to his walking.

Arachne found herself actually hanging on his words..wait why did she care if he said yes or not? She chose to prop her hand on her hip, acting as if it didn't matter either way, but she couldn't help her mouth curving into a smile when he agreed - well, it wasn't exactly a resounding yes but it was an agreement nonetheless.
'Good, you can pick me up from my dorm room on the night.' she called to his retreating back, shaking her head a little as he stopped to speak again.
'Pff, as if I would wear anything bright anyway.' she said dismissively. She wasn't a brights person, red was about as vivid as it got for her. Now she just had to find something to wear..
