Tirokio I stay to watch you fade away, I dream of you tonight... Lafayel: -Folding his ears back lightly as it pained him to hear the plight of the femme beside him, he knew some things just couldn't be helped...but he was also very familiar with self blame.- Aianii...Its not your fault. Its like me wishing I could have been there for you when you needed someone...it just happens. -Scratching his head lightly, he leaned back once she scooted over to help shield her back from the cold elements- Yeah...I am for the time being. A vegabond like me has no where else to go, especially in this weather. Tomorrow you'll be gone, it gives me time to stay to watch you fade away.

Aianii: -Giving a brief smile at him for shielding her, she let out a deep breath that had been locked in her throat.- It.. Its just a part of me... I wish I could have been stronger... I could have protected her... -Her eyes danced from the flickering flames down toward her paws.- In the chaos.. I thought she had died along with... -She stopped speaking, swallowing hard. Tears were brimming in her eyes as her head now turned completely away from him. She didn't want him to see her like this.-

Tirokio Lafayel: -His ears shifted back along his skull as tight as they could as he listened to the heart wrenching tone in her voice, a tightness in his chest quickly rose in sympathy to the maiden. While he had no siblings of his own, and his parents but a foggy blur of memory he realized the bond...and how much it must have hurt.- What's important is that your here now...and your making that effort. Fate could have not brought you two together....instead of dwelling on the past...why not make the most of now and make up for everything you two could have had together; I don't think its too late -At least if she heeded his notion she would be in the right direction and replace blame with memories more befitting for two wayward sisters. Although he couldn't see her eyes, he could smell the rise of salt in the air and nestled his face into the back of her shoulder in an attempt to comfort- She isn't dead....and your still you.

xx Aps Aianii: I... I guess.. -A shiver went down her spine even though she was close enough to the fire to not be cold. She wanted desperately to change the subject. The old memories scared her. She had spent her life since she came to the shop trying to forget them.- You're... very kind Lafayel... -Her voice trembled slightly. Feeling his fur brush against her own, she chewed on her bottom lip in a slight nervousness before slowly touching his cheek with her nose in a gesture of thankfulness.-

Tirokio Lafayel: -Curling his tail around her hips he hoped he was warding off any cold she may have experienced. While he was thinking about what he could respond with to her kind words, he knew he was only being gentlemanly....and he couldn't look away from someone who needed well...just someone to be there even if he was little help.- Will you be staying with your sister this winter? I heard it is supposed to be rather cold this year...- Lifting his head he offered a smile, trying, and failing a little to try and get her to smile once more-

xx Aps Aianii: -Shivering lightly, she slowly let herself relax. She stared at the flames, trying to let her mind drift off from the more intense previous conversation.- More like she's staying with me... But.. y-yes. -Turning her head suddenly, she glanced at him.- You.. you can't stay here by yourself! You'll get too cold! -Her cheeks flushed in her outburst.- I just.. I mean... You should.. umm.. stay with me too.. In the guest room. No one should be alone for the winter.. and Christmas will be here soon... -She hoped she wasn't being too forward.-

Tirokio Lafayel: Ah! I do suppose that makes sense, I wasn't sure if she was settled here or not. -Especially since he was certain they would have met sometime sooner if she had prior resided anywhere close. To say the least he was shocked by her sudden outburst, eyes widening as he looked a little dumbstruck...but when it sank in he could only smile with a little chuckle to his voice.- Thanks love for the concern, but I've made it many a winters out here; I may not be a brawny tough guy but I have some fine thick skin for a minstrel! -He mused, hoping to at least ease any concern she had that he wouldn't make it another winter, but none the less he was not also one to dismiss others desires so quickly.- None the less...wouldn't that be a little much, to have your sister whom you've just reunited and a bum at your house? I would hate to impose on such a special time... -And the holidays too, surely the first they'd be having together in who knows how long!

Aianii: A bit much? -Her ears flickered back and forth. She was a little sad that he didn't take her offer, but then she realized how it must have sounded! Oh, he didn't think she was that bad, did he?- Oh, no! Not at all! -Her cheeks were cherry red now as she hunkered down to try and hide her face in her fur.- I.. It'll be.. all my housemates.. I'm kind of.. the one who takes care of everyone... We have plenty of room, and the more the merrier. It may be... umm... chaotic at times... But I hate the thought of you being out here alone, especially for the holidays..

Tirokio Lafayel: -Giving a little sheepish smile, he didn't quite mean to make her embarrassed, but he couldn't help but admire the red hue on her otherwise monochromatic pelt.- Your...the head of your house? That's pretty impressive, I'd bet you'd make a great mother with that kind of leadership under your care....w-well I mean, if you wanted them or well, didn't have any already... -He stammered a little and rubbed his head with his paw, his turn to be a little nervous. Watching as she ducked her face into her fur to hide from him he allowed a somber look to glance her way, as much as he was flattered she'd invite him to a spare room....it bothered him there was little he could do to repay her for such kindness. Thinking true for a moment he gathered up his thoughts before speaking a moment later- I will graciously accept your offer, Aianii. For the very least to save you the trip of what I can imagine you coming out to check on me if I stayed here... -He smiled, wondering if he was right to assume such, but continued.- But on two conditions, if its not imposing too much on your kindness. One...I wont stay for free. If there is anything I can do...helping with chores, food, errands, music...you let me know. Two...if at any point I overstay my welcome...please tell me. I don't want to ever be a burden on you Aianii... -Leaning down he nosed her cheek with his chilled nose, offering but a warm and thankful smile none the less.

xx Aps Aianii: The head? Oh I.. -Completely flustered.- I just.. like organizing everything.. And making them happy.. -Hearing the bit about children, her ears perk upward. A small nervous smile pricks at her lips.- You think I'd make a good m-mother? I'd.. love to have children someday.. -Scoots her paws closer, hiding the bottom half of her face against her "arms" while staring at the flames crackling against the wood.- So many of my housemates have children... I even helped raise some of them.. Maybe someday... -The last bit of her words were more dreamy as her smile turned more genuine. When her eyes met his she became somewhat nervous again, giving a shy smile in return.- Oh, that's not the reason! But umm... if you like... more music-c would be good.. Maybe you could play with Alikka! She was always better at instruments than I was... And I could.. maybe s-sing... -At the touch of his nose she jumped slightly, but her smile brightened.- You're... very.. sweet... Lafayel.. -Glances away as she says this, unable to look at his expression.-

Tirokio Lafayel: That right there makes the most wonderful of leadership figures, their compassion...and all in all, that desire and experience...I believe you'd absolutely make a great mother. -True in his words he watched the fire's flicking glow, the heat playing off his chest as he could feel the edge of winter n** at his back being faced away. Yet as long as the lithe femme before him was warm he didn't mind a bit. When her eyes flickered to his own he could only smile in a gentle amusement, nodding his head- Its been a long, long time, but I still know most of the holiday jingles and carols...i'd be honored to play and most definitely have accompaniment by you and Alikka. -Although her shyness was always quick to draw her into herself, he didn't mind...if it was something a musician had to have was patience, nor was he willing to rush by any means. It was a little something that caught his eye as he could feel his cheeks radiate in a gentle blush, looking up with a bright smile as he nudged the vixen with his paw- Look Aianii, its snowing!...its such a pretty sight, just like you. -He said in a bit of an absent air, not really taking to heart what he said as he was too much of an honest fellow to worry about speaking his mind.-

xx Aps Aianii: -Her cheeks instantly blushed, perhaps brighter than it had before. She instantly tried to hide herself in her fur again, her tail coming up around herself.- N-No... No.. Not me... -Her eyes shifted to glance toward the sky as the flakes fell against her nose, she had to admit, it was a beautiful sight.- I'd be honored to sing some carols with you.. It would really liven up the holidays I think. -Shuts her eyes and lightly hums "O Holy Night."-

Lafayel: Why not you? Your very pretty Aianii, don't let anyone or anything make you think otherwise. With your kindness, it still surprises me you are not taken if I may be so honest with you. -Chuckles sheepishly, feeling a rare shyness rise up at the talk of relationships. It seemed he was always too committed to his music to share all of himself and indeed it had gotten him in trouble with a few suitors of the past. Being a vagabond of sorts didn't help at all to those who wanted someone stable and well...set up for life. None the less when he looked at her, this lithe and shy femme beside him as the snow settled on her black and white fur as she gazed up to the sky with those sapphire like eyes; he couldn't help but feel a little humbled anyways in her presence and was only soothed more by her soft humming....wishing he had a better instrument to accompany her with-

Aianii: I'm just... I'm not as pretty as a lot of the other females.. -Shrugs her shoulders up around herself, her tail curling up to keep her warmth. At his compliment her cheeks flushed brighter and she hid against her limbs all the more.- I'm... I'm surprised you aren't.. -She wasn't quite sure why she was saying it as she was afraid what it might mean coming out, but it had blurted out before she could take it back. Embarrassed, she squeaked slightly.- I mean... you're... you're.. handsome.. and you play beautifully... and... and... -She hoped she could hide behind the compliments, but she was afraid her words would also betray her if her cheeks didn't.-

Lafayel: True beauty is not in the face...but is the light in your heart. -He said simply, true words straight from his own heart as he tried to look away from her for a moment but simply found he could not as she tried to curl into herself once more. Yet when she questioned him as well, he found himself thoughtfully quiet a moment, deciding the best approach would simply be what he was used to...the truth; albeit how he blushed at being called handsome- Once...I was close to having someone. Although in the end it was like making a choice between a part of me and her...to stop my music or be with her. Well...you can see what I ended up choosing....So I guess I have yet to find someone who will allow me to be both; with music as my mistress as you will. -Smiles softly, looking over to her.- Do you share a similar reason for being single..?
