"Bring a jacket in case it gets cold, wear something you aren't worried about getting wet, and bring either lunch or money to get lunch. I can only afford so much and our little pirate's in her picky phase." Shy explained, leaning down to pat Maion's headwings. He sounded so grown up saying all that, and yet, still so much like Shy. "I'll pick you up in a while. We have to drop Nero off first."

" Alright, I'll be waiting," Taylor himself had never left his picky phase but had lucked out that Penny let him eat jelly pretty much as often as he wanted.

After about an hour or so, Shylock pulled up, Maion safely buckled into the backseat, right next to her boat. "Hey Tay. Ready to go?" the boy said with a grin. He was actually wearing jeans today, though little else, but as he was to be out with a minor, it was best to at least wear something.
"We've got the car for the day, so long as we get Mai back at a reasonable time."

Taylor had been waiting on the front porch in a pair of dark comfy pants and similarly dark fleece jacket. He bounded down to the car and slid into the passengers seat with a grin.
" Sounds good, although if we've got the car we could just cruise around, "
" Nuuuu beach" Maion insisted making her very serious frowning face.

Shylock chuckled and shook his head, "You don't get to promise the princess the beach and then just drive. We may drive later on once we're tired of it, but for now we have to take her to do her sailing. Otherwise she'll be cranky and throw tantrums the rest of the day." the boy explained.

Maion nodded and reached out to pet her little ship. " Boats" her most used and favorite word in her vocabulary except possibly 'no'.
" Alright then to the beach it is, what's this about her becoming a picky eater now?" Taylor was curios and wondered how exactly Shylock was working around that, or if he could.

Shy smiled as he watched her in the rearview mirror before continuing to drive, "Mai, why don't you tell Taylor what you won't eat these days." he told the tot, keeping his eyes on the road. "She's become quite a chatty little thing."

Maion nodded and grinned " I only eat the trop.. topi the island fruits now and sometimes fishes but only crackly kind," she explaining hands waving around as she spoke to somewhat illustrate her point. " I'm eating only pirate foods now as practice." The little silver haloed angel also sometimes nommed on crackers but that was okay, because pirates had crackers too even if they looked different.
" No one can make me eat other foods," she insisted, no amount of cake or pasta or tasty smelling things would change little Maion's mind, if pirates didn't eat these things than neither did she.
Taylor had turned in his seat to stare at her " that's um dedicated." Maybe she was picky on his level.

Shy rolled his eyes, "Yeah even if certain babies aren't very accurate on what constitutes pirate food. The only reasons pirates don't eat half the things we try to feed her is because they can't afford it and would eat it if they could." he teased. "She's in a very big pirate phase at the moment."
