"Vuii!" A small, fluffy thing took Claire's slightly prone position as an opportunity and darted out and past her, making good use of its Run Away ability as it squeezed itself into a book fort.

Okay, she could see the Thing - vaguely, but she saw the fluffy -- "Gah!" What was this thing?!
She glared at the book fort - why did Lennyka have to make such terrible messes with her books?! And she couldn't just take it apart, ugh she'd be in even more trouble. Her glare faded to a frown as she reconsidered her approach. Direct confrontation wasn't working.
Violet eyes quickly scanned the room for anything she could.. Aha! Of course! She rose to her knees and awkwardly moved a foot or two to her bedside dresser. The top drawer, once opened, revealed a stash of chocolates and similar treats, kept there for herself but mostly for Zeus. She rummaged around in it for a moment before pulling out a box of the Pikachu's new favorite thing - chocolate covered pocky. The drawer quietly slid back into place before she kneeled in front of the book fort where the Fluffy Thing had disappeared to, and pulled one stick from the box. It was held just an inch or two outside the stacks of books, in the hopes it would entice the Fluffy Thing to emerge.

It would be something of a long wait, relatively, but eventually a pair of olive green eyes would glimmer from within the dark hovel. A small, dark nose, accented with a patch of pink-colored fur, sniffed at the offering. A peculiarly small Eevee, odd in its coloration, gazed out at Claire hesitantly. "Vuu..."

"Aww.." An Eevee, how cute! ..not that she was a huge fan of cute things or anything. Ahem. Anyway. "Come on out," she said in a gentle tone, a small finding its way onto her face. Its hesitance reminded her of something or someone, but at the moment she couldn't quite figure out what that was.

The Eevee blinked abashedly, shuffling its paws momentarily before scooting out of from between the books, stretching its small body as far as it could to reach the pocky while still remaining at a safe distance from Claire.

Arceus, it was so hesitant and timid.. Who did it remind her of? The feeling was nagging at the back of her mind, but she simply held out the long, sweet treat for the 'vee to take when she wanted.

It nicked the snack from Claire's hand - or rather, nicked a bite of it, as the thin biscuit snapped apart when it applied any sort of force. It immediately scurried as far backwards as it could, nibbling at the chocolate thing carefully with its fluffy tail waving slightly.

"Awww...." It was so cute and timid, and cute, and.. crap.
Claire shifted and laid down on her stomach, leaning on her elbows and holding the box in one hand close to her chest, holding the other that had the half-stick to the 'vee.

"Vff?" A little pink tongue licked crumbs away from its paws carefully, eyes locked on the sweet biscuit. Its tail waved slightly more quickly, and it stretched to extract the remainder of the pocky from Claire's hand. Tiny teeth crunched away, though the Eevee itself remained wary.

Hopefully being on her stomach - and therefore low to the ground - would help the small 'vee feel more at ease. Hopefully. "Aww, you're so cute.. You should come out from there, I have plenty more," she said softly before pulling another stick from the box and offering it to the normal-type, though about two inches further from the stack of books.

With a hesitant "vuu," the Eevee crawled forward slightly, close enough to reach the pocky more easily but not so far from the books that it was completely vulnerable. It watched Claire with a slightly less suspicious glint to its eyes, though its body remained tense enough to flee at a moment's notice.

Claire remained perfectly still except to talk and offer the little Eevee more pocky. Hopefully Zeus would forgive her for feeding it to another pokemon. He probably would eventually.

Slowly, carefully, the Eevee plucked the biscuit from Claire's hand, relaxing its guard slightly and nibbling at the chocolate-covered thing. It licked crumbs from the tufts of fur around its neck as they fell, flicking an ear when it had finished. "Vui?" Why was this lady offering snacks anyway? Was it to convince the Eevee to come out? With another twitch of its ear, it obliged, sliding out of the book fort and standing in the open, though crouching slightly.

Finally! Arceus, was this 'vee afraid of people or something? "Aww, there you go. Where'd you come from, anyway?" She questioned the pokemon as she offered another stick of pocky (progressively closer to her), though not expecting an answer. "I won't hurt you. You're so pretty, too." Maybe if she kept talking to it she could coax it to come closer? She really wanted to pet it, but she wouldn't risk it running away again, or kicking more dust in her face.

It shrank back slightly, approached slightly, shrank back again, approached again, and pawed at the ground with a slight inclination of its brow. "Vuu..."
