"A duplex? I can't imagine living so close to other people. I mean, it's loud in our house rather often, but I bet you have good wards up so if something blows up, no one calls the cops." It would be rather stressful for their older neghbors if weird magic sounds were always leaking through the walls. "Is your house magically expanded?"
Godfrey moved closer so his entire hand fit in Danny's. One thing he wouldn't miss about Josh was how the older boy would never properly hold hands with him. Holding hands with someone gave him a feeling of solidarity, as if no matter who was coming towards you, you would keep your hands clasped and deal with it together.

Danny comfortably accepted Godfrey’s tightened grasp, tucking his fingers between Frey’s so that they were warmly laced, palms pressed flat together and swaying a bit between them. Holding hands with Godfrey was such a relaxing gesture - as though they’d always done it.
“Yeah, we have a buncha silencing spells,” Danny explained, looking a little sheepish; it had been his unending blare of Cracked Iris after Gerald had moved out that had driven his Dad to throw up a permanent sound barrier to keep them from being a nuisance to their neighbors. “And, no, it’s not expanded or anything… it’s two floors, though. I have my own bedroom, though I guess it’s kinda small.”

"Nothing wrong with having a small room. As long as it has a door." Godfrey grinned widely up at Danny. "Are we going to eat up there?"
He asked the last question semi-casually, but started lightly stroking Danny's thumb with his own, wondering how the taller boy would respond.

Red flared across Danny’s cheeks as the boy was questioned about his room’s privacy - and, yeah, it had a door and a fairly efficient door that kept Kristen from slamming in when Danny was watching yaoi with the lights off and his blankets over his head, but… “Er,” Danny faltered, embarrassed, “Yeah. A door. And. Yeah, we can eat up there.”

"Great!"Godfrey kept grinning but turned his head foward again, looking down at the buildings they were approaching. "We wouldn't want anyone smelling the pizza and bursting in to steal some after all. I might have to bite them." He gave no indication as to whether.he was joking or completely sirius. Gettit? Completely sirius? Because Danny's Dad is-
