Well, thank eff for that; she was taking herself away... Despite what she said about its prowess, however, he still found himself concerned about her inexperienced pokemon. "Can't say this has been the highlight of my day either," Aulus responded, "but not everyone can be fun to be around." Himself as much as this daft girl, he wasn't stupid enough to deny that. Still, he might be bad at being good, but at least he could pull of good at being bad, which was better than being good at nothing at all.
"I suppose I'll wish you luck with finding that ghost then," Aulus went on, turning to walk away as he spoke... And then pausing and half turning back. "Just be sure that you look out for that Totodile, girlie." With this final gruff instruction, he turned away once more and set off down the alley the way he'd come.

Acacia nodded over her shoulder at the man's last words, maybe he wasn't so horrible after all, he seemed to care at least a little bit. If not for her, at least for her pokemon. Maybe he just wasn't a people person.
“You can count on it, Aulus. See you around.” Picking up her feet so that a bit of dust and dirt flew up she began to gallop at a full run. Her long slender legs pumped out energy and carried her slender frame with ease back the way she came, there were tons of decrepit buildings that she needed to explore. In though this city was creepy, it was far less so than the man named Aulus.
