most markers do weigh in at under 3lbs or so, but some are over. . . none I'd use.
and ego's more my gun, but not for the price, how much do they weigh?

First off, the Sp8 is an Ion with some added aluminum to for the faux mag well. Everything else is an Ion. Witht he addons it will shoot just as fast as any other Ion with the same parts. Though my team mates can shoot 30BPS with no problems whatsoever it is the wrong thing to do sportsmanwise in the case of woods. A sneak and creep should expend as few balls as possible. the use of more than three hundred balls per game usually denotes a bad marksman, a suport fire position (which is his usual spot), or a bad sportsman.

As for the future of the SP8, Smart Parts is discontinuing it in I believe the next year. Hopefully they will introduce another milsim marker lacking the issues of the SP8 (namely the split plastic body kit and components).

Despite being a hardcore A5 shooter I can honestly say that the SP8 is well deserving the accolades seasoned Woods and milsim players have given it.
