She smiled at him. Hopeful even more with his words. One day she did hope to befriend a bird, and she would be happy forever for it. Though, of course, she'd be happy with any friend really. She nodded at him. "Lead the way." She said to him. She wasn't familiar with this part of land, and she hoped perhaps he was.
"I'm afraid, I don't know where any water is." She felt semi-useless at that moment, but if he knew where one was, that'd be excellent. Of course, then again if she had a bird friend, they could easily find their way... She really needed one, now that she thought about it.

“Ladies, first.” Rei said with a little grin and bow that left him somewhat dizzy for a few seconds as he waited for Khepri to move. “This way. There’s a rather big watering hole in that direction.”
The mere idea of having a quick drink was healing in itself. The orange lion walked slowly, ignoring the head throbbing that would slowly subside. He was in pain but it was easy enough to bear and he managed to conceal a limp. No point in worrying his company even further, right? Keeping his head as still as possible, Rei made his way towards the watering hole, trying to keep the conversation light and positive.- Fin -
