Having returned to Tybalt's side, he lifted his tail and brushed most of the snow from his back. Smiling brilliantly, Pavitra was in a magnificent mood. "I can't believe it! I can heal people!" Nearly prancing, Pavitra skipped a head of the other stallion, and totally smooth-like, stumbled over a white covered log. "Whoaa!"
He didn't go down, but that didn't do much to comfort his ego. But instead of blushing and stammering an apology, he only laughed and giggled, straining his ribs with the vibrations that came forth. "This is wonderful!"
Fluttering his wings, Pavitra looked expectantly to Tybalt. He was definitely letting him lead them around in the trees, and was wondering where to go from here. But only wondering a little. He had so much on his mind, and happy things at that, that sleep seemed such a minute issue at the moment.

"Whoa, there," He said, watching with wide eyes as Pavitra stumbled and nearly upended. When he saw that he was fine, however, he relaxed and chuckled a little. "Be careful or I'm gonna have to heal you."
Catching up to Pavitra, he leaned over and nudged him with his nose, amused and a bit delighted by his enthusiasm. The other stallion was fun to be around, and he was glad they'd met by chance; maybe they could spend more time together as the days went on. He could always stand to have more friends, and given his personality, he figured that Saffy and Pavitra would get along pretty well.
"Healing's pretty satisfying. I learned from my mom... so if you want, I could teach you what I know." He glanced around, gesturing with his chin. "This way, I think. I passed a nice little spot on my way in, so if nobody's there, we can bunk down for the night."
It wasn't quite late enough that sleep was essential, but it was getting there. He wanted to at least find someplace before the sun was completely down and all the light left them.

Yep. Sleep wasn't going to happen anytime soon. Definitely not at the prospect of learning how to use his healing abilities. "That would be amazing!" Excitedly, Pavitra nearly jumped for joy. Nearly. Not that excited yet.
"Of course, lead the way!" He was smiling 'ear to ear'. This was turning out to be such a wonderful night, and he was more than excited to learn about himself- things he never thought were possible. He felt anxious to learn everything. He knew there had to be others than just himself, unicorns, and the normal kinds... well there's the skinwalkers he heard stories of but he definitely didn't want to learn anything about them. Especially not in person.
His tail flicking left and right gave little sprays of snow. Hah, even the snow wasn't bothering him as much right now. Handsome company and the prospect of learning made his stomach swell with the flying sensation that he loved.

Tybalt laughed again, leaning over to companionably bump shoulders with Pavitra. It really was nice to see someone so enthusiastic, and he felt good about the prospect of teaching him something about himself. The knowledge was just rattling around in his head, after all, and it would make his mother proud if he passed it along. Even if he hadn't wanted to, that thought alone would have inspired him.
"I don't know how good of a teacher I'll be, honestly." As he spoke, he looked around, scenting the air. He couldn't smell anybody nearby, so at least they wouldn't be intruding. "I learned from my mother, but I've never actually tried to pass the knowledge on. No kids or anything."
They were coming to a hill and he began to dig his hooves in, adding, "Be careful. Don't want you to slip and fall."

Pavitra felt a little pang of sadness that he hadn't had a mother, or father, to teach him the ways of his kind. It left a hallow echo in his body and he felt heavier. Tybalt continued to talk though, which distracted and lightened him once more. The concentration of not tripping again was a good distraction from his depressing thoughts and would be memories. "Ack. Will this snow ever go away." He meant is rhetorical because he knew surely it would, with out a doubt. But sitll. He was growing impatient with the coldness in the air.
"I'm sure you'll be a great teacher, Tybalt." Smiling up at his some-what-mentor, Pavitra fluttered his wings again and shook the hair from his eyes- only to have it fall back down of course. As they reached the top of the hill, Pavitra's anxiousness got to him some. Turning on Tybalt, he excitedly bounced once. Yeah. Bounced. "So where do we begin?"

Leaning mostly on his front hooves to keep himself from slipping, Tybalt glanced over when Pavitra reached the top of the hill. He was lighter on his feet than Tybalt was, which was to be expected given how much smaller he was, but it was still a little amusing to see the other stallion bouncing around. Had he not gotten draft blood from his father's side of the family, he imagined he'd be faster and easier on the snow, too.
"I hate the cold, myself." He sighed, breath puffing out, and joined Pavitra's side. From the top of the hill, he could see the dense clutch of trees that he eventually wanted to sleep in. "But then again, I don't really like a lot of heat either. It makes me sleepy."
He swung his tail lazily, butting the end of it against Pavitra's. "I don't really know how effective it would be if I tried to teach you when we had nothing to heal... you wouldn't know if it was working, y'know? And it's kind of hard to explain how to do it." He frowned. "It's just like... you see a need, and you want to help... and the feeling just gathers, and gets... bigger, I guess."
A little embarrassed because he couldn't quite explain it, he added, "Or, well, why don't you tell me what it felt like when you healed? And we can compare."

"Uhm.. well." Pavitra thought back to the morning he had found Adalyn after loosing track of her that previous night. "She wasn't... really hurt. But I still.. I don't know. Done something. She wasn't ill per say, but she did have something wrong. Like.. she can see spirits... of those passed on." Blushing at how odd that sounded out loud, to a near stranger, Pavitra hastily continued. "But when I felt that rush of energy- like a big rush- because I was worried about her, she was laying on the ground see, and I ran to her. My horn touched her and suddenly I felt drained and tired. But she was shocked, and a little scared. Apparently when I touched her... she saw people that looked like her... she looks a little different, her and her brother... and well, she said it was like the future and not the dead."
Taking a big breath, and sighing it out, Pavitra watched the cloud of smoke slither up over Tybalt's face which he had been expecting to be freaked out and concerned for his own mental stability. Such was the curse of the babbler.

Tybalt had heard some strange things over his travels. A lot of folks would have been unsettled at the very least, he supposed, or incredulous, or perhaps even annoyed, by what Pavi said; it seemed too unrealistic to be true, didn't it? But if there was one thing he'd learned it was that you couldn't assume that just because you'd never encountered something before that it didn't exist. That kind of thinking was narrow-minded, something that he prided himself on not being, and aside from that, it just set up a guy up to be kicked in the face with reality when it came knocking. Not a lot really fazed Tybalt, and that was mostly because he just rolled with life as it came to him.
So, while he'd never seen spirits or heard of anything like that before, he didn't immediately dismiss it as impossible. He raised an eyebrow, though the gesture was largely unseen because of his sweeping bangs, and nodded slowly. "Sounds like you healed her, then, of whatever was plaguing her. At least for the time being."
He swished his tail behind him, a smile curving his lips. "I've never heard of that before, but it sounds like it'd be pretty stressful. Poor lady," he added, shaking his head. "It's a good thing you were around to lend a hoof."

He didn't know about 'healing' her. She certainly seemed the same. Just very confused. "I.. I don't know." He shook his head lightly, furrowing his eyebrows together. Swishing his tail left and right, he pushed the thughts behind him. She'd spent enough time brooding over that event, and has yet to figure out the answer. Looking up with a bright smile in place again, Pavitra pushed forward.
"Thats the only time I've ever really.. felt anything like that. How many times did you say you've healed?" OH Pavitra. He was again in his foal like composure and giddy to learn. He was happy to finally get the lesson a parent was never able to teach him.

"Oh, I don't know an exact number." They'd approached the cluster of trees, and Tybalt was nosing around, using his hooves and teeth to move fallen branches about until the dirt below was exposed. It wasn't the most clean set-up in the world, but it would be more comfortable than sleeping on knotty, poky little twigs all night. "It's just kind of something that I do when it's necessary and don't really think of much, otherwise."
When he had a space satisfactorily cleared for two adult Soquili he stopped, glancing back to Pavitra. After a moment, he offered a reassuring smile. "It'll become habit. You've just got to find people who need healed... I don't know, I think your mixed blood will make it a little more difficult for you, but you should still be capable of healing. You've got the horn."
The horn was the important part, right? Yeah, he was pretty sure. Tybalt had never actually sat down and examined his healing abilities, not since he was a little colt just learning how to command them. This was a real blast from the past.

Using his tail, Pavitra swished the area that Tybalt had cleared for them, trying to pick up the excess. He felt bad that his companion for the night was doing all this work to make him feel comfortable and wanted to help out. Temporarily side tracked from his lesson, Pavitra asked, "Are you hungry still? If you are I can do gather something for us." Puffing out his chest some, Pavitra wanted to show he was anxious to help out.
"Its the least I could do in exchange for all that you've told me, Tybalt."

After a moment's careful consideration, Tybalt admitted honestly, "I'm always hungry. If there's food around, I'll probably eat it. It's why I've got suck big flanks."
He sighed, but it wasn't a sad one. Instead, he just looked a little amused. "But aside from that, I'm just naturally big. My dad was a draft, probably. That's what I always figured, since my mom is so small."
Following Pavi's example, he used his tail to brush along the ground, finishing up the sweeping in about half the time since both of them were doing it. It wasn't the best place he'd ever slept, but it definitely wasn't the worst, either. Not to mention the sun had gone down and he wasn't looking forward to trying to hunt up another place; this one had a canopy of branches above, a semi-safe circle of trees, and the benefit of two bodies to ward the chill away. It wasn't bad at all.
"Anyway, it's dark, so it's probably not safe to head out just now. We can search for breakfast tomorrow and you'll be shocked by just how much I can eat." He grinned and tapped a hoof against the ground. "Ready to sleep, or did you want to ask me more?"

Nodding at agreement at the mention of dark falling, Pavitra inwardly chastised himself for offering to go off on his own, in a unknown area, at night. He really was letting his inner foal out tonight.
Waiting until Tybalt finished sweeping around some more, Pavitra flopped his butt down to rest for some time. Normally he slept standing but he was a wee bit tired himself. Yawning at the same time, Pavi asked Tybalt one last question.
"Whats a draft?"

Settling down next to Pavitra, apparently entirely unconcerned about sharing a sleeping space with another stallion, he tucked his legs under his body and yawned hugely. Shoulder to shoulder with Pavitra, he couldn't help but notice how much smaller he actually was, and he grinned at it.
Most people were smaller than him, anyway.
"Drafts are soquili like me," he said patiently, stretching his tail out and swishing it behind him. Without any design to the action, it passed over Pavitra's, rested atop it. "Bigger boned, built heavier. It's why I'm so huge for a unicorn, actually. My mom said my father was a draft unicorn, so... I'm full-blooded, just, I got some draft from my father's side, I suppose."

Blushing under his thin white coat, Pavitra felt his tummy flutter at the close proximity of another stallion he had found attractive. Was this wrong of him when Pavi was supposed to be devoted to Adalyn? He had no intentions of anything romantic, but that didn't stop the guilt from leaking into his chest. He would definitely tell Adalyn everything of this night, and if she saw something wrong in it, well then he would know for future reference. But he surely didn't remove his tail from under Tybalt's.
"Oh... so I guess your mother was my size then." Nodding Pavitra rested his head on the ground, thinking about how hard he was going to have to clean himself in the morning. White was sometimes such a hassle. "Well then.." Pavitra yawned yet again unwillingly. "Good night Tybalt."
