"Might as well grab some, while we're here." Grubs couldn't be too hard to catch, could they? They were just...grubs. Potentially interesting grubs, but grubs. He didn't imagine they would be terribly elusive.
Just don't wander too far, Pipith cautioned, lying down before Set'al started rummaging around in their bags for a suitable container.

She looked at him with sympathy. "Do you remember when we first started flying formations? Dynith was so worried she'd get it wrong. We practiced and practiced those flight patterns. Then when it came for real, we did just fine. There was no way for us to practice for this. No matter how prepared we thought we were. It wasn't your fault F'ren." Optheli put a light hand on his shoulder.
"As for risking Toulonth, isn't every day a risk? It's a risk to simply go between to anywhere. Most of the time the risk is in our favor, but there still is always that chance. Don't let it slow you down. Would you chain Toulonth to her weyr simply because of a risk?" She didn't think he would. But he needed to see that risk was something they dealt with.
Optheli had to grin at his comment about thread. "Yes it should. Would you risk yourself and Toulonth to do it?" Her head tilted at him in query. She smiled as the green in question came over to them. "Well, shall we hunt up some bugs and plants?"
Dynith shifted on her feet nervously as Hers talked with Toulonth's. There was so many things for her to worry about. Had they brought everything they needed? Were they hidden enough from the people of this time? Could they find what they'd come to get? The green shifted closer to the bag Optheli had set down. Her tail curled around it to keep it from going anywhere.
