Clive is rather easy to get. It's done best when you have over 80 stars and right before, if I'm not mistaken, fighting Sonya in Shalashade (whatever). If I'm mistaken, it's right after that, and therefore, he appears much quicker.

Maiden of Night The hardest for me to get was Gordan from Suikoden 2!! My game had a glitch or something that if I sold him stuff then it would raise how much Potch to go!!! I had to sell him everything and then do a major event. Then sell to him again and do a major event!!! It sucked!! He was the last SOD I had to get... I've never heard about THAT glitch before, but I don't understand why you have to trade everything with him. Even if you trade in other trading posts (say Forest Village, Tinto etc.), it'll all tally to the amount of potch that you are supposed to trade to get him. My favourite route would be: Forest Village (Crystal Ball) > Kobold Village (Ancient Text) > Forest Village (Holly Berry...buy a LOT) > Crom Of course, this should be done only after you've gotten the Blinking Mirror and Viki, or it may take you a damn long time to walk all over. biggrin

But my sister and I have gotten it. But mine was the worst. Because if I wanted to trade, then it would go high. So I would have to save at the inn. Trade. If it went higher, I'd restart my game. As said, I don't think you have to go to Gordon's especially to trade unless your game requires you to. You can trade at other trading posts, and as long as the amount totals up to the amount of money needed, you should be fine.
That's why I usually do my trading before I head off to Toran...when you have access to Greenhill, you should take advantage of its location, considering that it offers things that can be sold at other places at relatively cheap prices (and let's not forget the 236 potch Ancient Text that was worth 23000+ potch there biggrin ).

Landis was easy I accidentally found him. I still cant find the last dog in the group for suikoden III I put all the dogs in my party went to where the detective said he was and i just cant find him wasted so much time walking around there its not even funny starting to think my game is glitched or somthing hes the only one im missing too

I had the same problem, the detective said at the ruins but I still couldn't find the last dog.

You just need to find him in the right spot. I have the guide so I'll through it for the last dog. It gives you the place where he is with lots of detail.

the hardest char was one of the mermaids in s4, and yes i am good and searching the suikoden games of SOD sadly i enjoy a long game of exploring and i am patient^_^

I can find Landis only when I'm not looking for him. He never shows up when I need him. stressed I had a tough time with Clive in the first game. He just wouldn't come. I must have spent 3 real days going in and out of that stupid inn. I'd even walk around a little to give him time to come. In the 3rd game, I had trouble with the theater guy. He wouldn't come with me. Finally, I realized that it was because I was using Augustine as a man. xp

I know you dont need all of them but thats how desperate i was i tore apart my party to put in all the dogs and then used my strongest chars to defend them while i searched and still couldent find the dog

suikoden 1: clive( he isn't hard to get, just annoying. i always have to leave and go back to the inn many times before i find him)
suikoden 2: stallion( i never escape battles so when it's time to recruit him i have to run from 50 battles. i usually do it all at once)
suikoden 3: landis( i spent about an hour in the forest with just geddoe in my party looking for him. i was so relieved when he finally showed up)
suikoden 4: nalkul and champo( i had trouble triggering the cutscene my first time through that allowed you to recruit them. it was a funny cutscene)
