In an attempt to keep away from the paintball shots that were clearly getting more precise, Riley tucked her gun neatly into her and DID A BARREL ROLL rolled away quickly, flattening to the ground as she shot. That seemed to work - her shots were closer than usual, but still not hitting their mark. And now she was a stable target.. this wouldn't work at all. She bounced back up to her feet and started strafing in the other direction.

Not staying in one spot, Jericho let out a low growl as he kept firing. Her evasive maneuvers did rather well to make him miss pretty hard, but he was determined to hit her eventually.

This game was rather frustrating. In her mind, plans were already in place for making the real paintball game a much more combative sport, with stealth and close encounters. She kind of wished Jericho was a little closer right now. Her shot went wide, sailing over his head and splattering against a tree trunk.

Getting frustrated that nothing was happening on either end here, Jericho let out quite the roar before opening his wings and charging head-on towards Riley in low flight. He was firing like mad, and his shots weren't too far off either, but he still missed his mark.

This was getting them nowhere. Riley wanted to hear the splat of paint, so she pointed the gun at the ground and fired off a few shots. She nearly splattered herself, and immediately realized - those paint balls really WOULD sting if they hit, wouldn't they..
Her eyes lifted to see Jericho storming forward, and she began evasive maneuvers. Cheater!

Restraining himself from getting too close, Jericho banked off to the side while keeping a continous stream of paintballs flying at Riley. He was still missing, but he was adjusting to shooting while in midair. The dragon was still fairly low to the ground, flying only about five or six feet up as he moved about. After all, going too high up would just make it harder for himself as well.

Not fair! She glared up at her friend in flight, managing to dodge every paintball that came her way anyway. At least the sun wasn't in her eye. She shot up at him, her eyes brightening considerably. A target in flight was a larger target..

Seeing that glare of Riley's, Jericho only grinned in returned as he kept up some aerial maneuvers to try and avoid getting himself it. It certainly still was not easy to aim all that well, especially since the mindflayer just wouldn't stay put!

OH DAMN. Riley shot off a series of rounds into the air one after another, and they whizzed around Jericho's body, just barely missing a clip to his wing. Just a handful of beautiful misses, but not one hit? Still, she was looking cocky - it was clear she was ready to end this.

Another close call! Jericho decided that was a little too close, so he tucked his wings in and did a literal barrel roll while firing at Riley. It didn't do much to aid his aiming however.

Riley watched him barrel roll, and if she could grin, she would. She stopped moving, choosing this as the perfect chance to aim, and when his barrel roll ended...
Right across his chest!

Pulling out of the roll before he ended up rolling himself into the ground, Jericho felt a sharp sting in his chest. Looking down he saw a bright blue splotch right over his heart! He'd been shot! Seeing Riley standing still, he fired at her, but just barely missed.
"Nice shot but that'll be your only hit!"

The bright white orbs widened, before narrowing to slits, as she just barely dodged another shot. I only NEED one hit to win, sludgestick! Get over here! She waved her gun threateningly. We're going to try something different. There was a devious glint in her eye - something one should never see coming from a mindflayer.
