Scarlet closed herself off again and just looked at the arguing group. She closed her eyes and whispered. "Levicorpus".

Both Somul and Glare were flipped and held upside down. Somul dropped his wand.

Scarlet looked up at Glare and pointed her wand at him. "Finite Incantum."
"Did you really think I wouldn't stand up for myself? The last thing I need is someone to play sacrifice here." Scarlet demanded before looking Somoul in the eyes. "As for you. Maybe a little spell will teach you not to listen in on conversations that you're not welcome in." She whispered a spell that would eliminate his hearing until he learned about ease dropping.

She softened at that watching Soumol run out the door. "I'm a pureblood. So you needn't worry about me not being able to defend myself. Like I said they don't call me Scarlet for nothing." She blushed at that sentiment, her heart racing at just looking at his eyes.

Riley stood behind the door as he heard Scarlet's voice and then running down the stairs. He smirked as it had never suprised him that she would do that. She was a menience when it came to things like that. He stopped and looked Scarlet was standing with another man whispering something he couldn't make out. His heart clutched together, and she slowed his breathing continuing to watch the scene play out.

Scarlet didn't pull away eventhough her mind screamed at her for it something else deep wanted it. She felt herself connect with someone in a way she had felt that was new and different and decesively different. She wasn't taken as much by suprise as she was the first time, and she leaned into it more then she had the first time.

Riley felt his heart constrict in anguish. He was too late to ask her, him and his stupidity to not have done it sooner. But he thought she would have noticed all those years that he'd been friends with her that he felt something beyond friendship for her. And then that dreadful thought entered his mind, maybe she didn't love him the way he loved her. And that thought tore at him as he ran back to his common room.

She lifted her hand in almost a daze, and shook her head trying to get her mind straight. "Say it again." She didn't mean it to sound like she was dependent on him, but she hadn't heard anyone say those words to her in a long time.

Standing closer to her, the moonlight filling in through the window, Glare looked deeply into her eyes and said, "Um...I Love You" This sounding wierd to him for he never has shown compassion for anyone.
