"Ah, did you?" He said, leaning on the taller pokemon beside him. He was tired of standing and didn't want to sit in the snow, so he'd like to sit on her but he didn't want to be rude. ...how that would be rude, he wasn't sure. "How was the class? I didn't take any until I was in high school," he admitted.

"Well 'grats on getting Hattie! Where did you find her?" Finding and catching a Meganium was rare, he was sure. Ah, there it was. He grinned, chuckling as she completely butchered the language. "Ah, 'mi amor bonita'?" He pronounced it slowly and put more emphasis on the specific syllables to help her out. "It means 'my pretty love' or 'my beautiful love'," he explained, and Leilani crooned and craned her neck around to nuzzle his chest affectionately.

"It was fun, I learned a lot about plants, it helped me take good care of the roses I did grow, and its even helped me take care of Hattie to" the young blond smiled and looked over at the Meganium next to her again, smiling "I found her when I was in the mountains with a friend of mine, we were looking for Clefairy. Her and a Raichu were in the snow, they were cold and sick, so we caught them and took care of them, Hattie chose to stay after that~" She would have let the Meganium go, but Rosie was delighted that she chose to join the team.
"I don't know why they were up there,"

her face lit up when she heard what the word meant, "Thats so sweet!"
Rosie clapped her hands together "Mi amor bonita" She repeated again, better this tine since he helped slow it down for her.
It was SO sweet that he would say that to his Meganima, she could tell he loved her very much.

"Ah, did she? That's very cool she stayed because she liked you," he said honestly. How many times had he wished for more grass-types? Way too much. Maybe he'd get another one eventually, but hopefully sooner rather than later. "Botany is very good when you have grass-types," he said with a nod. "You can learn all sorts of things that also apply to them, like how they love the sun. Sometimes if it's really sunny out, mi amor Leilani will lay out in the sun all day long and she won't even need to eat. It's weird, but grass-type pokemon can get nutrients that way sometimes, through photosynthesis." How they didn't get hungry was beyond him - or maybe they did, and Lei just nibbled on berries when he wasn't looking. It was possible.

He reached a gloved hand up to stroke his friend's large nose as the grass-type nuzzled into him, crooning happily. He couldn't help but chuckle as she said it again. "Bien! Muy bien, very good! Mi amor bonita," he repeated again, just as slow as before with emphasis in all the same places. "You learn very quickly, Rosie."

Rosie hopped a little smiling joyfully when she spoke the word correctly and got praised for it, looking over at Hattie "Mi amor bonita Hattie!" she said to her Meganium now, who looked very bashful, but happy that her trainer said that to her, Rosie giggled at the response and hugged her pokemon.
though once again tried one of the new words that he spoke "M- Muy bien?"

"I'm looking forward to learning more about Hattie, she's the first grass type I've had, the types are all so different, and its so wonderful learning about them."

"'Muy bien,'" he repeated with a chuckle, slowing it down and putting emphasis where needed as he had before. At least this phrase was shorter. "It means 'very good.' 'Muy' is very, and 'bien' is good," he explained, again saying the Spanish words carefully so she would understand. "Ah, and for the other one, I'm sure you can guess but 'mi' is my, 'amor' is love, and 'bonita' is pretty or beautiful. In Spanish, the subject goes before the adjectives, so that's why all together it's 'my love beautiful.' Sounds sort of weird in English, but that's how they do it in Spanish," Inigo finished with a shrug and a trademark lop-sided grin.

"Grass-types are my favorite, but so far I only have mi amor Leilani," he explained, slinging an arm over the Meganium's shoulders as she snaked her head around to nuzzle his opposite shoulder affectionately. "But I think I love grass-types because I also love botany," he chuckled.

Again she repeated the words, eyebrows arching slightly in interest when he continued to explain the proper meaning and order, enjoying the little Spanish lesson she was getting.
"Muy Bien!" she responded with firm nod.

She looked back over to Leilani, giving the beautiful grass type a warm, gentle smile. while her arm hugged her own Meganium.
"Its good that you love something so much. I think everyone needs something that makes them happy." It was clear that plants were his passion, and it truly delighted her to see that.
"Oh, do you know the way to the nearest Pokemon center in town?" she asked after a moment. "I've been out training for a while today, I think my pokemon could use a rest, and some hot tea sounds good to." she admitted with a bit of a sheepish smile.

"Good," he said with a chuckle. She really was picking it up fairly quickly. "And si, I agree." He loved his Leilani and his plants. And his research. And botany. And other stuff.

Oh, pokemon center? "Uhh," he frowned a moment, trying to recall where it was. "I usually don't battle like.. ever, so I never have a reason to go there. I'm pretty sure it's right in the middle of town though, not hard to find at all," he explained. Hopefully that had been helpful enough, because he couldn't really show her where it was. He didn't think Leilani could be easily persuaded to go back to the house when she'd just gotten out hardly ten minutes ago. "And hot tea does sound good," he agreed with another lop-sided grin.

"Its okay, the centers are usually easy enough to locate, they purposely do that so trainers don't need to wonder around to much before they can heal their pokemon."
She smiled putting a hand under Hattie's jaw. taking the last statement as a 'yes' to her invite she perked up, and turned to start heading into town. "So your not really a trainer than?" She asked, tilting her head. "How did you get your Chikorita to evolve? Did you get her like that?" She asked, curiously.
The only way she knew how to get pokemon to evolve was through training, and battles... or stones in some pokemon's cases.

Inigo turned to walk next to the extremely pink girl, Leilani crunching through the snow in an odd rhythm as she attempted to keep dancing while walking. It wasn't working too well. "No, I got her as a Chikorita," he explained with a lop-sided smile, "but she's... ah, must be at least eight years old by now. She's been a Meganium for maybe.. half that now? Possibly a little less," the boy shrugged his shoulders. "Anyway, when I first got her I tried to battle her every so often even though my parents didn't approve. I think it took at least.. a year? A year or two for her to evolve into a Bayleef, and then another two or more to fully evolve." In other words, he was a lazy trainer. "After that, I started getting into botany more, so I stopped really doing any training or anything and never started again. That's why she's my only pokemon," he finished with a smile. He didn't mind just having one - Leilani was his best friend, after all.

Crossing her arms over her chest, in a half hug against the pressing cold, Rosie would glance over to Inigo whenever she had the opportunity, smiling softly as she listened to him talking about his pokemon, and the little training they did.
"She certainly is a beautiful Meganium, Its good that you could get her to her final stage, training isn't always for everyone, and you sound like you are much happier with botany."

Kodo wasn't that big of a pokemon training location, she wondered why his parents were so against training, but it wasn't unheard of really, Parents didn't like the idea of their children going out on their own and doing something like pokemon battling
