Riley reached out, and grabbed the towel in one hand. Ah. Well. Thanks, Shehk. She murmured appreciatively, as her tentacles lifted to rest in the towel, and she began rubbing them down. She nodded quickly to Tsetsiliya in response, before turning to Malodore with a tired gaze. They just knocked me out and took my eyephone. She said, while holding the eyephone in question up - it seemed to be blinking to tell her there were messages waiting. The fact that she was holding it up at all was testament to what she'd done to them.
All that matters is that the gnome I was looking for wasn't there. She muttered in disappointment, and winced as the bump on her head throbbed.
Aksaja's question had her looking at the canines, and the necklaces in everyone's hand. Ah, I believe Shehk's pets had a litter, and she asked some of us to help give them homes. She didn't see any puppies, however.. curious.

Malodore reached up and folded Riley's fingers around the eyephone. "Ignore that for now." Oh, they'd have a conversation about this later, but for now... puppies! Or, well, puppies-to-be. "I think you need a puppy. And not Luce, either," it added; Luce had come up to Riley and was slurping at a stray dribble of blood that had ended up on the ithilid's skirt.

He nodded, and then picked up one of the necklaces. That made a lot of sense, and he'd definitely have to train them not to attack Sneak. He'd be even more of a failure if something ate his familiar, especially if that something belonged to him as well.
The newcomer seemed like she had been through some sort of trauma before showing up at the dorm, but Myr wasn't about to ask anything. He didn't know the mindflayer well enough for that, and unless she offered the information, it was none of his concern. At least she looked like she was okay, or would be once she got cleaned up.
He knew there was something that he was forgetting to ask, and so he stood there for a minute, and just watched everyone, trying to remember just what he wanted to ask.

Alwine was trying to not stare at Riley. She had mentioned a fitness club or something over the groanspring, but the ghoul had no idea how strong she actually appeared-- or was, for that matter. The blood didn't help either. It was a foreign substance to Alwine entirely, being a ghost and all, and that made it even more gruesome in a way. It was the very thing FEAR was made of.
"It seems like you are all right," Alwine said, very slowly. "I'm, ah, happy you got your eyephone back."
Alwine looked over to the desk and picked up the seventh necklace by its chain. It was smooth, except for when the surface rose to a moon.
"These are so lovely... it's hard to believe that they will be puppies."
Alwine made sure that Archer was out of the way before she kneeled down and held her hand out, hoping that one of the parents would come over to inspect the haunt.

Shehk sighed as she pulled her chair from her desk and took a seat, one hand hanging over the armrest. Skoll walked over to lick at the Pricolici's fingertips.
"Yeah. It's puppies." Shehk replied, scratching behind one of Skoll's ears before moving to pet along his neck and jaw. Clearly that was his 'preference' point, compared to Shehk's own 'behind the ear' preference. Part of that 'I speak to my own kind' thing she had going on. Not useful for a lot, in Shehk's opinion, but then again she'd never tried to communicate beyond language barriers. Nor did she have such an interest.
"Though not all things start off looking like puppies. I just had one of those feelings, you know? I saw them with the necklaces and went 'Oh hell no' almost immediately. I already have a personal-sized pack. I don't need it expanding out into puppy-sized numbers." Just the thought of TOO MANY WOLVES gave her a headache.
That and she'd have nowhere to put them all.
"Besides, who doesn't want themselves a mighty hunter-wolf. Skoll is pretty good at it." Shehk laughed a bit and Skoll set his head on the Pricolici's knee, looking at the guests suspiciously.

Oh, so she was giving away these necklace-things that would then turn into puppies? That was pretty cool. Aksaja could clearly see that most of them were already spoken for, though, so he made no move to grab one or anything.
"Oh man, I can see where a bunch of puppies running around could be a problem," he commented, with a little grin. "I'm Aksaja by the way. I kinda remember you from that Christmas thing. The uh. Skullfayse akshuns and all."

Riley's eyes blinked at the hand curling around hers, curiously ignorant as to why she would ignore messages. They were blinking. They had to be answered! She wouldn't argue with Malodore, however - she knew better. Her eyes turned to crescents at the mention of a puppy, and she turned around to look at the necklaces. Before she moved forward, Luce caught her attention, and she sent her an affectionate nudge. Taking care not to disrupt her too terribly, she took a few steps forward.
Thank you, she responded to Alwine. I'm glad I did too. It was currently her lifeline, and she went nowhere without it. She picked up one of the necklaces, and held it carefully. Hearing Alwine confirm it, she couldn't deny that this was what Shehk was offering. They are very lovely. She would have to make sure Jericho, or any of her other dragon friends, did not steal it thinking it to be treasure.

Luce yipped once, happily, then laid down, surveying the room with a curious eye. As of yet, she didn't seem to realize that the necklaces were - or would be - puppies...
"So these fine wolves are the parents? They're lovely," Malodore said, opening its beak slightly in a small smile. "I will have to make sure we have many playdates with parents and siblings!" It glanced at the blue person - a Reaper, if the headwear was any indication, and nodded companionably to him.
It seemed they were to be a little family, of sorts.
... Huh.

Amrita had been one of the ones Shehk reached out to, though admittedly it was over groanspring. It wasn't until after she responded did she realize what it was she was agreeing to, and then she had to stop and wonder if it was worth it. Puppies were cute, but they had a lot of energy...also Death Charm tended to shove certain types of pets into the minipet closet without her knowing. Not only that, but it could be any type of puppy! She should have asked before. Why didn't she ask? Augh she should have.
Still, it was Shehk...and she could trust Shehk, right? Right.
Her search of the dorm to find Shehk's room was not one she performed alone despite every attempt she had made to keep DC in her room; she apparently forgot about the training whip that the Professor Malcolm had let her take home, and the Charm had settled right back into it's habit of 'Follow her everywhere no matter what'. Eventually she spotted the group of students standing in and around and open door, and some slow connections were made; that HAD to be Shehk's room! It was a lucky find; she actually had no idea which room was Shehk's until now. If this even was it.
"Umm...I'm...here to pick up a puppy?" She asked timidly once she was closer to the open door, looking around and just hoping this was the right room; she couldn't really see the Pricolici from where she was. As always Death Charm followed her, muscling his way ahead of Amrita purely to put himself between his Master and the other students, just in case.

Aksaja was just standing there watching everyone when quite suddenly a VERY FAMILIAR (if smaller) form flew around in front of his face. The dragon let out quite an undignified little yelp at the sight of the miniature Death Charm, backing up a step or two.
Turning around quickly, he found himself staring at Amrita. Oh . . . he remembered her. "T-that thing is yours? How did you . . . ?" How in the hell did she get HOLD of it? Jack.

"Oh, there are no skullface actions." Shehk sighed, slumping in her seat with a frown on her face. Then again, she was almost always frowning like there was a weight on her shoulders. She needed to work on tha-
OH SWEET MOTHER OF JACK WHAT THE HELL IS THAT THING??
Shehk's reaction to the death charm may have been over-dramatic, but given her aversion to being set on fire, the Pricolici practically fell out of her chair as she panicked away from DC, sputtering as she crab-walked across the room away from it, her eyes wide.
Skoll took his 'alpha's' reaction quite seriously, looking down at the new offender and baring his teeth at the small minipet. The wolf wasn't really inclined to eat the creature, but he did pace forward and shove his nose into it's face while growling, moving closer and closer in an attempt to herd it back out of the room. Clearly, he didn't approve of the fact it made Shehk crabwalk at all!
Shehk on the other hand was pondering if she could have handled her reaction to 'OH GOD FIRE' any better. She could squash the 'Mm blood', but not 'O GOD FIRE'? She needed to work on that.
She did, however, take the opportunity to answer Malodore's inquiry; "Yeah, I can only assume Skoll and Hati are the parents." she sighed, Skoll snapping at the Death Charm until he was content with where it was and crossing back over to put his head back into Shehk's lap, the Pricolici petting him idly.
"So I guess that also gives an idea of what the puppies will look like too."

Riley took a good look at the wolves, and then back at her necklace. The stress on her expression lessened just a touch. Perfect. She murmured, glancing up at Shehk with approval. I will take very good care of it, I promise you. I should head back to my dorm though.. She gestured up at the general vicinity of her head with a wave of a hand. I could use a shower. Perhaps some rest. Thank you for entrusting me with this, however.. it is a bright spot on an otherwise dark day.
Her eyes shaped to crescents, giving off the expression that she would be grinning if she could. I'll look forward to any playdates if we all get together once they're grown. If you'll excuse me.
She nodded her head to Shehk, and waved to Tset and Myr. Any proper greetings would have to wait until the next time they met, as Riley was just.. too tired. As she turned, she caught sight of Amrita, and her eyes softened affectionately. She placed a hand on the ghoul's shoulder as she passed.
A private thought entered Mal's mind as she passed him, and her eyes met his for the moment she spoke to him. There was, perhaps, just a touch of longing in her sentiment. Walk me to my dorm?
She paused, turning to look at Aksaja before she left. This time, her thoughts were public. Thank you again, Aksaja. She murmured, giving him a wave. I'll see you soon.

Malodore nodded silently at Riley, then turned to Shekh. "I am sorry I couldn't stay longer - I promise you, I will tend to this little one to my utmost." It opened its beak in a smile as it coiled the necklace up in one hand, then carefully tucked it away inside one sleeve. "We must all bring the pups together for playtime when they emerge."
Luce - who had been giving the Deathcharm very uncertain looks, turned her attention to Shehk and her packmates. She yapped once, a canine 'bye-bye!' and wagged her tail.
"Luce, go home," Malodore said, pointing down the hall towards the stairs. The pup yapped again, once, and trotted off.

Tsetsiliya raised her hand in a timid wave as Riley said goodbye, and the plague doctor went with her. It seems that everyone was getting ready to head out, and with no questions on her end, perhaps it was best that she follow as well.
"T-thank you again, Shehk." She nodded her head, clutching the chain to her chest with both hands. "I will be taking care of this little one, and I hope to see everyone very much soon." The idea of playdates with puppies made her blush return - she was so excited! "I will be keeping in touch on Groanspring.. i-if this is okay."
With a nod towards the others still in the room and a grateful smile at Shehk, she too moved out the open door. A puppy, a puppy!

He waved back to the ones leaving. He supposed that he should be getting back to the dorms as well, he did have homework to do, and since he couldn't remember what he wanted to ask Shekh, there was no reason for him to stick around.
"Thank you for the puppy," he said, grinning brightly at Shekh. "I'll take very good care of it. Is it okay if I ask you questions over Groanspring if I think of anything?" She was the expert on these guys after all.
It was rather nice having an excuse to hang out with people, and he couldn't wait for the puppies to manifest. He hoped his would be cute.
Once Shekh had answered, he nodded his thanks. "I'll see you around." He headed out of her room, and back to the Reaper dorms. He had homework that he really needed to get finished.
