Nyx's blush grew a shade deeper, she was embarrassed both at the attention her romantic- no, her friend- no, colleague life? was getting. She was still not completely able to admit to any feelings, no matter how much Nadja had pointed out the obvious.
Tazieff stared at the Pikachu with a mouth full of icing, some of it leaking out of the sides of her maw. "Waar?" She looked quizzically at the other pokemon, some of the icing squirting out of her mouth when she made sounds. Why was it so upset? This was her icing, at least now it was.
"What? Damn it, Tazieff..." Nyx sighed, "Why won't you behave?" The pokemon wasn't stupid, at least, she didn't think it was, but it refused to behave properly, or listen all of the time. It seemed like the creature was very much intent on doing whatever popped into its brain at any given second, no matter what. "Don't worry about it, I'll pay for it." The white haired woman's face was one of apathy and annoyance, like she'd given up trying to swat a fly and was just letting it buzz around because being annoyed was less effort than hunting the thing down. She threw an extra couple of tubes of icing into her cart, maybe to use as motivation for later training.

Rosie reached down to pick up Kiss, taking the pan off of her head and sighing softly as she reached up and cleaned some icing off of her cheek. "I will help" she told Nyx, "I'm responsable for what Kiss Kiss does" She held the Pikachu up, who blinked down at her, ears drooping slightly. "Kiss Kiss, we can't just take what we want like in the wild, in stores we have to pay for it, okay?"
"Pikaaa" Kiss cooed sadly, tucking her tail and ears in with a small nod to show that she understood.
"Good~" Rosie smiled, lowering the Pikachu back down, kissing her cheek and cradling her close. Looking over to Nyx and the Charmeleon. "is your Charmeleon from the wild to?" she asked, tilting her head "She's really beautiful"

"No, I've got it. I'm actually pretty sure it was all her idea anyway." Nyx said unhumorously; Taking Tazieff out was proving a trying experience. The Charmeleon just stared at her trainer with the half empty tube of icing still in her mouth.
"Yes. Quite a few of mine are wild, actually. But she's somewhat of a handful. I hope to get her under control by the time she evolves..." Having a large flying fire lizard doing whatever it wanted on a whim was a scary thought. Nyx shuddered and started walking slowly towards the check out lines, slowly enough that someone would walk along and talk if they so wished.

"I don't mind helping" Rosie reassured, walking over to help clean up while Kiss jumped onto her shoulder.
She listened to Nyx explain about her Pokemon, and wanting to train it well before it became a Charizard. this reminded her of her first look at a Charizard. "Are they a really hard pokemon to control?" she asked, holding a half eaten sugar box. "I remember this one man I met couldn't control his Charizard at all..."

Nyx thought back to most of her encounters with the species, which were mostly in lab environments where they were less than thrilled to be having experiments done on them. Especially that one... the Charizard that escaped and rampaged through the labs. The others she'd seen were either badly controlled, or were made more aggressive due to Team Rocket's dark balls. "It seems so..."
The woman eyed Tazieff, now wary of its evolving. What if she were unable to control it? She shook her head, clearing away such thoughts; She was not the same weak agent with no pokemon and no ability as she had been in the past. She could handle things if they got out of control.
"I'm sure she will be fine! I just caught her." That was the excuse, not her own inability to train a pokemon. Beaker was proof that she had some ability. The woman emptied the contents of her basket onto the conveyor belt of the checkout line and waited.

Eyebrows arched when Nyx confirmed what Rosie had suspected. "So then if you can control a Charizard, you must be amazing" it was then that the blond girl smiled, "I'm sure that when your charmeleon is ready to evolve she'll be amazing, you seem like you are good with poekmon" she finished with a tilt of her head "I just get that feeling"
She smiled at Tezieff, before looking back at Nyx, finishing up with the clean up from the little mess "My name is Rosie by the way"

"Not necessarily, I just think that the species is more prone to bad temper- oh. Interesting. Yes." The woman pulled out a little black notebook and a red pencil and scratching something on the page before putting it back into her purse. She looked back at the girl after her sidetrack. "Me? No... no..." She wasn't good with pokemon--Though they did tend to sort of flock into her party, and she hadn't done terribly at the volcano. "Possibly."
Tazieff stared at the two humans blankly, obviously entertaining herself with some thought more interesting than whatever they were doing or talking about.
"Oh. I'm Emma--Thank you." She almost forgot after her epiphany that it was polite to thank someone for a complement. The conveyor belt jerked forward and the cashier started to scan the various items. "Oh, tack two more tubes of icing onto that. Pokemon." Nyx stated.

Rosie stepped in line behind Emma, glancing behind her as Hattie and Vahy'n made their way over to her, Rosie turned and thanked the Meganium who held the basket out to her with the items she was purchasing for the party, laying around her new deept green egg.
Rosie gave a curious look at the moment of distraction from Emma, "whats interesting?" she asked, curious to know what she was thinking about.

"Oh, nothing. Ignore me. Work related inquiry for later." Of course she wasn't going to tell the girl what, it involved crime and questionable science!
Nyx looked at what the total of her purchases would be after every item was scanned and pulled out her wallet, paying for it all in cash. She was about to bid the girl farewell before she noticed the egg. The green, stripy, very familiar egg. That was one of hers-or, more accurately, one of the experiments she'd worked on. Someone had managed to steal one of the eggs, but they had yet to figure out who or where it had gone. Yet, there it was... Obviously the girl hadn't stolen it from the lab.
"Do you live around here, Rosie?" She smiled, glancing from the egg back to the girl.

"Hum?" Rosie asked, glancing over her shoulder to Nyx as she picked up some of the products from the basket and setting them on the belt once she had a divider up. "Yes I do~ all my life," she answered "I live with my uncle now"
Completely oblivious Rosie reached out to take the basket from Hattie once everything but the egg was out of it, kissing the Meganium lightly and thanking her for carrying it. "What about you? do you live in the city? or are you visiting someone?"

Nyx nodded, taking a mental note for later. Her comrades would be interested to know that their property was in the hands of this young girl; She would have taken care of it herself, putting the egg back into their clutches, but they were out in public, and Nyx was still not terribly confident in her ability to defeat an opponent.
"Ah, no. I'm visiting a friend." That was a suitable answer, it didn't leave the possibility of the girl wanting to visit her house, which would cause an awkward situation, her not having a house; It also didn't leave room for questioning the plausibility of baking in a hotel room. "Are you a trainer? One of the ones doing that gym challenge, or what have you?"

"Oh how fun, I hope you are having a nice trip then, are you from Kodo?" It was always good to hear about visiting family and friends, Rosie wished to be able to do it more often, she had great opertunity to now that she travled.
"Well, I'm taking a specialty class for my school right now, I'm registered with the league to be a trainer, but I'm not doing the gym challenges yet" she explained, smiling "I'm just taking a different way then the traditional, once I graduate this year I'll be traveling to do more training in other regions, and doing gym battles" she explained, her school had a wonderful program, it helped greatly with teaching trainers what they needed to be prepared for the league, she had a lot of fun with it and the other trainers in the class were amazing trainers.
"What about you? Have you done the Gym challenge?"

"No, I'm from Kanto." That was true. "Saffron City." That was a lie. She was from Vermilion City, but familiar enough with the larger city that she would be able to lie as if she were from there.
Nyx smiled and did her best to keep her wicked plans out of it. So the girl was in school, but not actually doing the challenge yet, good. That meant it probably wouldn't be difficult to get the egg from her. "No, I haven't. I'm not much of a trainer." The grocer put the woman's purchases into plastic bags.

"I've visited Kanto before, its a beautiful region, I've only been to Saffron City once though, I was really young." Rosie didn't always remember the trips her mother used to take her and her sister on, mostly becasue Rosie was so young, when she was older she remembered quite a few of them.
When the women said that she wasn't a trainer, Rosie tilted her head, but still smiled, she knew that people often had pokemon for companions, and not for the league or contests. "I hope you are enjoying Kodo"

Normally, people who kept pokemon as companions didn't keep more than a couple, but the girl didn't need to know that. "Yes, I'm enjoying it very much." Nyx smiled and picked her bags off of the carousel, "Well, it was nice to meet you, Rosie. I've got to be getting back, though, I've a boat to catch early in the morning."
Tazieff squeezed more icing out of the almost empty tube, then proceeded to chew on the plastic end, hoping maybe that the tube itself was made out of icing. No luck, though. The charmeleon walked close behind its owner, placated by the sugar... for now.
