Bolade listened to their talk and relaxed a little bit more. These two seemed geniune and she would believe that - if they were right. Their home was soon upon the group and Bolade looked at it with the eyes of a stranger. It was a simple place and she knew that her friend adored her family there. Her own was rather closed mouthed and they weren't exactly close. Still, she sent her mother and sister a look before gesturing to the lionesses with her head, willing them to listen.

((This can be our last round of posts, unless you guys think it needs to be longer.))
Aanga nodded. "So far as we know. We intend to continue north, to warn everyone we can." Some long-buried part of her, a part that had started to revive when they found a pride to call home, wanted to save everyone along the coasts. She was rather certain even Asali knew that was an impossibility, though. When they came to the lioness and wild dog's families, Aanga told them the grave news. She saw the disbelief in their eyes...and then the realization. They'd heard the stories of bad storms, but there hadn't been one in generations.
As soon as all had eaten, they would make their way inland, and return when the moon was in the same phase once again. Aanga felt nothing but relief that they'd saved another group from death and grieving.

Asali let her sister do most of the talking, only interjecting now and then and offering her own view of what they had seen when she felt it was necessary. For the most part, she simply took the time to recover what strength she could, so that she wouldn't end up slowing Aanga down during their soon-to-be-resumed run. It was good to know that they had managed to warn others so that, when the storm reached this location, no-one would be here to be harmed. Asali could have sung aloud with the sheer joy of that thought, but she didn't feel like embarrassing her sister and so remained quiet for the time being.
But the time to sing would come, and when it did, nothing would stop her.

Sitting with the rest of her family, Alake listened as Aanga warned them all of the coming storm. She went off on her own to eat so she could have a good hard think. Her thoughts returned to the line of thinking that had rolled through her brain earlier while Aanga and Asali had followed Bolade and herself back home. It still seemed wrong to leave the two of them to this large task alone. Besides, hadn't she always wanted to see what was out there in the wide world, to have a bit of adventure? Alake mused to herself. Finally she had decided and she made her way back to the group.
Clearing her throat Alake looked at them all. "I've decided I'm going with Aanga and Asali. There's safety in numbers, and their task is an important one. One that cannot risk failure." She paused as a glimmer of amusement entered her eyes. "Besides, someone's got to remind them to eat. We all know how good I am at nagging." This last bit earned a few chuckles from her family. She flashed a smile at Aanga and Asali before her family descended on her to give her well wishes and goodbyes. Through the throng of well wishing family Alake found herself looking at Bolade, her oldest friend. She wondered if Bolade would follow her in this too, though Alake felt it was too much to ask of her.

Having listened attentively, Bolade knew that this was not going to be an easy thing for the sisters to accomplish. They would need all the help they could get - and of course Alake had volunteered. Mentally rolling her eyes, the wild dog nodded her head and then spoke, "Yes, we're coming with you on this venture."
The clouds had seemed to darken as the time had passed and there was an electric charge in the air. Looking at Alake's family, Bolade knew that she would give her life to protect them but Alake came first. With that thought, she stood and went to her friend's side. No matter what would happen, Bolade was going to help as many as she could. With a final tense goodbye to her family she stretched, ready to run what was bound to be a long journey.
