The shifter didn't even bother to change as they followed Bent-tail out into the street, screams immediately echoing up from their appearance. Jumping up on the nearest car they jumped from vehicle to vehicle to catch up to the rat instead of trying to weave between the cars. Jumping off the last car the cat lunged torward Bent as he darted into the next alley, claws swiping at his legs as the cat got close.

The cat ducked its head but the trashcan lid still managed to graze across its skull. Falling back a step the cat shook its head to clear it, pale blue eyes settling back on the rat as it continued to approach. Opening its mouth it let out a angry growl, the sound still rumbling in its throat as it swiped at the trashcan lid to get it out of the rat's hands.

Satisfied that the trashcan lid was out of the Bent's hands the feline found the rat suddenly on their back. Letting out a feral snarl the cat began to shift in shape. So he wanted to ride did he? She would give him a ride the rat wouldn't soon forget. The cat suddenly started to grow in size as the shift continued until finally instead of a cat there was a horse. Immediately the animal began to buck, throwing its head back trying to knock Bent-tail off.

When the rat ran off yet again the figure did not follow. The horse grew still once their 'rider' was no longer on their back, their body slowly shifting back to normal. Staggering slightly in place the figure looked back to where the rat had ran off.

"Keh....troublesome," An obviously female voice uttered. She was tired and worn down at this point from shifting and using magic. With a grumble she moved from the alleyway, pulling off her hood as she went and transmuting her father's clothes into something more her style. It was the last energy she had to spare as she looked around taking in her surroundings. They hadn't traveled far, the part of town she was currently in held lots of little shops and food places.

Feeling the urge to regain some of the calories and energy she had lost, the girl made her way inside the first shop she saw, a cafe of sorts. Not a place she would normally go but it would do.

Mitsu was busy at the moment bringing a tray of drinks out to customers. Her smile was a bright one since Morgan always reminded her smiling waitresses get paid more. It seemed to hold true though Mitsu had gotten her fair share of sympathy tips for looking sad. Not that she had tried, but it had worked out that way.

Mitsu was quick to set down the drinks and checked with the men at the table to see if they were ready to order. When it seemed they needed a few more minutes Mitsu moved on over to Shun. "Sorry, Shun. Its been a little busy." She smiled still but pulled at the bottom on her dress awkwardly. Mitsu didn't like her friend's seeing her in her waitress outfit, while it was 'cute' it was also rather embarrassing. It was something she had to be wary and remember not to lean over in because it could be a little more revealing than she wanted.

She was just about to ask him what he wanted to have but she looked up in time to see the new comer. "Ah...ju..just a minute I'll be right back." Smile in place she walked up to the girl. "Hi, if you'd like you can take a seat where you want I'll be with you in a moment to get your drink order."

The girl looked around curiously for a moment before her pale blue eyes settled on Mitsu. She was a slight of a girl which seemed oddly familiar. "Yeah sure." Looking around to find a seat, the girl's eyes settled on a particular patron she hadn't expected to find. Eyes growing wide for only a moment before they narrowed she made her way into the restaurant before having a seat at the table next to Shun's.

Moving back to Shun's table Mitsu smiled as she pulled her little pad and pencil out. "Do you know what you want Shun? Morgan makes really good bison burgers, the soup is pretty good too." It was really the only thing Morgan had gotten her to try thus far and while she didn't eat much she did find the food rather good.

Mitsu wrote down the order a little pleased that Shun had taken her suggestion. "Yeah, its been alright. No..." She looked back at the table full of guys. Most of them were busy chatting though every once in a while they shot glances her way. It could either mean they were ready to order and wanted her attention....or it could be for entirely different reasons. "No different than usual, I suppose." She smiled a little awkwardly. "I'll go put in your order." Hustling off to the kitchen Mitsu disappeared behind the door to slip Morgan her order slip.

Nyx seemed rather interested in the conversation a table over but she kept her eyes focused on the menu that was already in front of her. So he had another friend? Now that she thought about it she had seen him with the little white haired girl quite a bit. Maybe they were a couple? Though he didn't look the type to have a girlfriend. Still, that opened up a different set of opportunities for the shifter.

As Mitsu walked away and disappeared into the kitchen Nyx mulled over various things. The little tussle with Bent-tail hadn't gone exactly as planned though maybe Shun would start to get a hint of a message. It would be easier if she could get closer to him, take from him what he had taken from her. "She is a cute little thing isn't she?" Nyx mused softly, glancing over at Shun. Her expression was teetering on intense but she was forcing herself to be friendly.

"Hey do you go to this.." She knew he went to the school but for a moment she forgot the name. It wasn't a normal high school, it wasn't a public school. "..Academy over here?" She finished without too much of a delay.

Nyx's eyes twitched a bit at the tone, he seemed to be quite the a*****e, but that softer expression he had toward the girl only seemed to confirm in her mind that they were at the very least really close. "Woah, don't get defensive." She tried to keep her tone light but her own horrible tone was starting to show through. "I just moved here, I'll be transferring in. I don't really know anyone so I thought I'd strike up conversation."

Mitsu quickly emerged from the back a freshly made order on a tray for her to give out. Dropping it off at a table on the far end of the restaurant she made her way over toward Nyx to get her drink order. "Sorry about the wait, what can I get you to drink?" Mitsu smiled sweetly.

"Uhh....brown pop, I really don't care which kind." They all had the same effect after all, high sugar content and caffeine.

"Sure, I'll bring that right back." Mitsu smiled over at Shun before she hustled off to get the girl her drink, coming back quickly to set it on her table before moving over to the table of guys to get their order. A fair share of the men grinned rather widely at the wolf girl's return. It was hard to determine what was being said but it looked as though Mitsu was laughing rather nervously, shaking her head as she tried to get them to focus on ordering food.

Once all the orders were in with a great deal of effort Mitsu turned to walk away, the guy at the end of the table paying extra attention to her rear as she walked off. He elbowed the guy next to him with a wide smile before they were all lost in conversation again.
