[February 8th, 2012 : Change Is In the Wind...]
Attention all Crew members and Vice Captain members:
If you find yourselves being demoted to Crew or lower, please do not take this to heart. There will be topics up shortly that will explain what methods I am going to begin instating as far as moderation methods go. Remaining Vice Captains and Crew are encouraged to read the new Announcement thread within the Moderator forum to better understand what I am going to do. Keep any and all comments to the Discussion thread, however, so as not to clutter up incorrect threads with your naggings.
Attention all members...
For the moment little will change for you, but I must inform you that the different threads for races will begin to alter, including the statistics for your own races and how their powers will work. This is a work in progress, and thus I request that for the moment you do not fight anyone at any time if you desire to role play right now.
Also, we will be instituting:
→ New formats! biggrin YAY! Yes, we are, because alot of the stuff looks cheesy.
→ A Banking/Shop system. Why? Because I really don't like people pulling random items and weapons out of their bung holes like a neverending bag of awesomeness D :< It just ain't right!
→ A Moderator Team system will be instituted, with each team led by a Vice Captain with selected Crew members beneath them, each with its own purpose. We will be placing an application thread up for those of you to apply for different teams, and when someone is needed a Vice Captain will choose from these lists of candidates new lackeys slaves indentured servants employees.
These are non-negotiable, and will be done.
We might also be considering:
→ Rank System: these system is a ranking system based upon your role playing abilities in a guild as judged by your peers. Those who pass these rigerous tests to attain these ranks gain access to the next tier of services, up to and including restricted weaponry, races, and a bigger bank account :3 Possibly even the ability to create custom items specifically for your character :O More details will come out as more is decided.
→ Possibly a system regarding the ability to create your very own race :O Or world, beside out own. You never know, it's a possibility!
→ Classes for each of the races! Yep, a possibility~
What you can look forward to:
→ Random events every week: You heard that right, random events, with treasure to boot!
→ Challenging contests both in and out of the role play, with prizes for both! For this, please donate to our mule, 'cause gettin' it from the mule sucks howler monkey jewels.
→ Open Availability: Not again will all leadership spots go to Moderators! In fact, if I have my way all leadership rolls will go to Members, but we'll see. Either way~
→ Challenging Peers: You see, everyone (other than 2 per race) start out at basic levels and work their way up. Why? 'Cause no one should immediately start out will all of the power, foo's! So who gets that shiny Espada point? Whomever gets there first~. Who becomes the new Captain of Third Division? The one who beats the crap out of their colleagues to make it to the top~. So get to workin, chick-a-dees~
→ Enhanced Customization: Not entirely sure to how extreme this will go, but we refer above to what might be coming for more details beyond the following~. We will be ensuring more models of characters, more availability regarding the different types of characters one chooses. Want a Quincy who uses a gun? It might one day be a possibility~. Stick around and find out!
