Cody nodded to the nurse and looked to Helena. "I know it wasn't my fault, but I felt like I was at least partially responsible... so I wanted to stay and make sure you were okay."

"Thanks to Lavender, I look ridiculous." Helena said, blushing. She really didn't look ridiculous, she just felt ridiculous.

"Thank you," Helena said, blushing, no one had ever complemented her like that before, except Lavender, and she had been sure that Lavender was lying. "So do you have anyone or anything special here, or at home?" She asked, with a light teasing tone.

Cody's gaze seemed to only halfway reach her this time. "Sometimes, when I'm not doing anything to block it out." He said, although it seemed he was only halfway there.

"I cry every single night. The Headmistress knows, and she lets me sit in the Gardens at night, to just cry," Helena confided.

Helena leaned over the bed and hugged him around the neck. "I'd only cry a little less," She whispered in his ear, before letting go, and lying down on the bed again.
