Pavitra took a breath to break into the defensive argument but stopped. "What the heck are you doing?" He said, still sounding irritated that Rajput could just accept it and leave it alone. No. He had to make this as difficult as his big butt can. Frustration had even forced Pavitra to almost say a profanity! That, ladies and gentlemen, is a rarity in and of itself.
He peeked around the stallion, looking at the ground. Then realized he was very close to the person he was "fighting with" and who had seriously hurt his feelings only a second ago, and back up quickly, snorting. If you could call it that. It was too feminine to be a snort. More like a 'hmph' with air.
"We are friends, Raj. In fact, since we are, you should know I hated living in the snow. It was terrible. I had no one. Not a person. It was always freezing, and I'd disappear so easily, people doubted they ever saw me. It sucks living invisible and alone." Pavitra lost the snarkiness in his voice as his mini-rant trailed off. He ended up sounding sad and defeated.

"Yeah, yeah whatever." he muttered brushing Pavi off as if he was the air, as he finally managed to somehow dig the curious object out without harming any of it. Rajput pushed it out gently onto a small flat rock, wanting to examine it on open land. It was a piece of thick black cord with small feathers knotted onto it. Now that he was finally done finding out what it was, he turned to Pavitra, frowning, "Well this cold is probably a nice summer's day to you compared to that snow stuff."
"I'm glad we're the type of friends that don't tell each other anything." he grunted, "Greatest type of friends." he said, starting to sound like a spoiled brat.

"Do you want me to tell you something? You're being ridiculous!" Pavitra huffed, stomping his front hoof at the same time. "All it is, is that I found me someone. And we have to go separate ways. Why in the heavens would I be giddy and laughing my rump off?"
Pavitra turned around and shook with anger and pain. He was dangerously close to admitting his improper feelings for Rajput. And that just couldn't happen, no matter what he said. If this continued... Pavitra would just walk away. No, fly away. So that Rajput couldn't follow him. But the way its turning out... he might not even care enough to follow.

"Well I have nothing to tell you. Because I'm a good friend that tells a friend everything." Rajput retorted out of spite. The statement in all honesty wasn't even half true. He knew it and he was pretty sure Pavitra knew it. "Of course you would be giddy you stupid loon!" he shouted back, "Do you know what's better than friendship? Love! That's what's better!" at least, that's what he'd been told. His sister had told him that when she had found her mate, and his mother and father had agreed as well.
Ticked off, he stomped his hoof, snorting, as he muttered a few choice words under his breath. The stupid alicorn, why did he have to be so difficult about everything?

At first Pavitra was going to lay in on how that sentence made no since but Rajput continued. And before Pavitra had time to reel in his anger, his secret burst from his mouth. "Yeah? Well I love you!"
In all but a millisecond, Pavitra felt a head rush, a cold sweat roll from his head to hooves, and his chest slack to what felt like the ground. He'd screwed up, and screwed up real bad. But he just stood, legs in a power stance, and panting with his anger flushing out and his body going weak quickly. He said nothing else. What was done was done, and he just had to wait and see what happened. He was worried about loosing his friend though, but he was slowly accepting that surely now, he'd lost him.

If Rajput had water in his mouth, he would've just sprayed it all over Pavi's face. Fortunately, nothing was in his mouth, merely gaping at the alicorn, "...You...what?" his mint eyes narrowed, staring at Pavi in disbelief. Did he know that they were both stallions? And he also had a mare so...
"Did you bump your head or something...?" he asked, confused (and partly scared) at the whole situation.

Pavitra, exasperated, shook his head and looked downward. "No. I didn't."
Jerking his head back up, he stared Rajput in the eyes, anger over riding his hurt, and fueling his words now, came out strong and solid. "Haven't you ever cared about someone? Like family? Like so close that would hate to loose them, Rajput? HAVE YOU?" Pavitra had walked forward, his words carrying him to be a foot from Raj now.

Unfazed, (though slightly surprised) Rajput merely stared at the alicorn's outburst and looked towards the rising sun, eyes squinting from its brightness, "Nope. Not really." he casually replied back, as if they were merely discussing the weather and not having this stupid argument.
He was glad that Pavitra didn't love him like how...how girls loved guys and would goggle over them. Now he didn't have to be all worried and scared over nothing.

Sighing angrily, Pavitra knew that he'd successfully dodged Rajput's first assumptions but had he wanted too? They were correct... Yes. It was for the best to not let Rajput know. It would be too terrible a feeling to loose his company as well his friendship. Shaking his head, at nothing in particular, Pavitra turned and faced the east.
"What to do now." It wasn't a question. More of a bitter statement. He sounded tired and exhausted, which emotionally and mentally he was. Depression was an invisible emotion but Pavi swore he felt its presence more than he ever had when he was growing up alone. Probably because it wasn't a loss he felt then. He never had it to lose until now.

Rajput merely shrugged, not noticing Pavi's obvious bitter mood, "Whatever you want, I suppose." The stallion continued to stare at the ground, and spotted the necklace he found earlier again. It would be a waste to just leave it there. He studied the necklace, and realized it would look terrible on him. Lifting a hoof, Rajput nudged it in Pavi's general direction.
"You want this?" he asked, as if none of the previous conversation had happened, "I don't like it."

Pavitra took a moment before he looked at what ever Raj was motioning too. Surely it couldn't be food. Rajput simply couldn't "not like" anything edible. A beautiful, feathered necklace was what it was. It was lovely. The white feathers had black tips, and there were black beads on strap. His mouth parted in an awe expression. "Its... yeah, of course I do."
After picking up the necklace, he wondered who on earth he would put it on. Hmm. He'd have to find a human. Maybe a child that wouldn't be tempted to steal rather than tie it around his neck. He looked up at Raj again, and after a heart beats second, he smiled a little. "I guess.. this is it."

Rajput watched Pavitra take the necklace green eyes watching him, "You like it?" he asked, not in an impolite way but a 'you really like that?' kind of sense.'
The stallion shrugged as much a horse could shrug, "It is if you never plan on seeing me again." he said indifferently, "You staying with her for life?" he asked, his black tail swishing to and fro.

Shaking the short mane on his neck, Pavitra did what would be seen as a shrug. "I.. uh.. Don't know about.. life." He hadn't thought that far. He would definitely try to love her as long as he could. But he didn't know if he thought of loving her just yet.
Turning his rump towards Rajput, Pavitra was preparing to leave. It would hurt a lot more in the lonely days to come. Just maybe Adalyn could help ease it the nights they spent together. Right before he took his first step to go, he hesitated and turned. "I.. do plan on seeing you sometimes. Just might take a bit to find you." Smirking, and surpresssing a giggle, Pavi continued. "I'll just follow the wreckage with bite marks."

Rajput merely stood in place, watching the alicorn turn his back to him. The stallion could help but snort, "Yeah, that's one way to find me." he had a small smile on his face, "It was uh, nice traveling with you." he said feeling a bit awkward during this moment. He never really had anything nice to say to Pavi to begin with, and now he was leaving so Rajput felt the need to be nice to him before they parted.
"You're uh, I guess my first friend." he cleared his throat, looking the other way feeling even more stupid now. "Yeah." he finished, shifting uncomfortably.

Turning away, Pavitra had a sad smile. "Yeah... you were my first best friend too Raj..." He didn't say anything else. He just walked a away in the classical "into the sunset". More like into the sun rise, but what ever. Same feel. "See you around Raj." Pavitra's head hung a little lower, but he was determined to spend the day, finding someone to put the necklace on for him. Just because Rajput hadn't given it to Pavi as a "friendship necklace" doesn't mean it couldn't be used as one.
Good bye Raj... love you.
