He wasn’t sure if he was ready to face Angela yet. He listened to her every move, as she looked around for him. Being a fellow hunter, he knew her moves and could predict what she might do. He smiled at her warning. She was just as tough and bold as he remembered. He knew there was no way she was going to dismiss the fact that someone was here, so he was as good as caught. He could try and run away, but he knew that would be a huge mistake. That would just give her a good reason to start shooting at him.
His best bet was to show himself. She wouldn’t shoot if she knew it was him. He was about to turn around when he heard her running straight towards him. He watched as she did a roll and aimed the gun right at him. He held up his hands in defense and hoped she would lower her weapon. “Whoa, it’s just me, Mitch” he said eyeing the gun in her hand. It was strange being on the opposite side, the one being hunted. “I, well I heard a gunshot and came to investigate.” He didn’t want to admit he was there to see her. He lowered his hands, relaxing a bit. He knew she wouldn’t kill him, at least not now.
“How have you been Angela?” he said trying to start up a friendly conversation. It seemed like it was forever since he’d seen her last and he resisted the urge to scoop her up in a hug. He wasn’t sure what she thought of him now. Now that he was a werewolf, did she think he was different? It wasn’t the transformation that changed him; it was living with the other werewolves. Even when she saw it was him, she didn’t let down her guard. It worried him, but he knew she was just being cautious. When you’re human facing creatures that are stronger and faster than you, you have to always be on your guard.
Mitch took a few moments to stare at Angela. It felt like it had been forever since he last saw her. She hasn’t changed much, looks almost exactly the same. Then again, it hasn’t been that long since he left. He supposed that since he had changed so much in such a short amount of time that everyone else would have been different as well. “How are things back at, home?” He took a brief pause before he said the word home. Home was such a strange word to him now. He didn’t really have a home anymore. He left his old home when he became a spy for them. Mitch didn’t feel as if his old home was really his home anymore. Even though he didn’t feel as if he belonged with the humans anymore, he still wondered how things have been. Have there been many changes since he left? Does anyone miss him? Is anyone angry that he hasn’t kept in touch?

❧ Be strong✦Be strong now✦Too many✦Too many problems✦Don't know where she belongs✦Where she belongs❧ Watching him move toward her she didn't like this if he was a threat to her it would make it harder to escape him if he was to attack. Arraine was thankful that he stopped leaving some space between them. Not having been close to another being in a while she wasn't comfortable with it now. In truth she may have been running from herself or simply from the ever present feeling of danger.
Feeling a little calmer that he was willing to tell her his name she relaxed a small bit. "I am Arraine." Her statement was simple and plain. She wondered what he was doing here but felt it rude to ask so bluntly at the moment and decided against it. Her posture changed a bit looking less like she was going to run at any moment hearing the casual tone he had.
Arraine nodded looking a bit more childish than she really was. She was hungry now that she thought about it she had been too busy running to notice before. She didn't understand why he was being so nice to her at the moment he didn't know her. As a human she didn't have many friends and wasn't treated very nicely. A thought crossed her mind, maybe he was nice to her because he didn't know her yet. She really had no clue. Taking a wary step closer to him she didn't quite return his smile still unsure. ❦ Strengthen your arms now•Train your fingers for battle•Urgency's here now•Train your fingers for battle ❦

{In the first days of the spring time made you up and split from one thousand enemies made a trail of, of a thousand tears made you a p r i s o n e r inside your own s e c r e c y
There's a g h o s t in me who wants to say "I'm sorry" Doesn't mean I'm sorry } {✖Morgan✛Winchester✖} Opening her eyes in the clairvoyant darkness, Morgan allowed her gaze to flutter over her meaningless furniture towards the area where a ‘window’ would have been built into the wall. Perhaps a part of her liked to pretend she had a little space to watch the world pass by without going outside to join it. Going outside meant she had to socialize with other vampires, or be on guard against hunters or warewolves. As stimulating as being on edge was for this young vampiress, she was a private person and preferred opening up to only a few select people…and far-between at that. Unless something had to be said, Morgan kept her mouth shut. Her dark eyes falling on a decorative orb with a glass lily inside of it, A sentimental pain began to tug upon her face, and she turned over in her little bed. At least pretending to sleep to give her an extra few minutes of time on her own.
Contrary to the behaviour she usually exhibited around her Coven, this ’reclusive’ streak was slightly out of the ordinary. Over the years she had spent under Delilah’s care, she had slowly begun to open up and form family attachments. As much as Morgan had loved her original family, her relationship with her father had always been strained, and her mother’s ’smothering’ affections were hard to endure before she had ever been bitten. At first, she had spent months mourning the loss of being a regular human; but, she knew she would have eventually been changed into a warewolf when the time was right. Knowing vampires the way they actually were as opposed to the image her father ‘projected’ had changed more than just her perspective. When she had been in the process of changing into a vampire, emotionally, after the venom had begun to take hold within her body, Delilah had taken her in: no questions asked. It was more than she had expected to receive, and being welcomes had shocked her even further.
Which unfortunately led her thoughts back to Michael.
Covering her face with a blanket she didn’t need, Morgan buried her face within her pillow and clamped her eyes shut once more. To be perfectly frank with herself, she was staying in her room to avoid him. As much as she cared for him over their years together as friends, he was starting to get ’that’ look in his eye, and her being a woman knew exactly what that look meant. The: I want to hold your hand very badly’ expression on his face. In the beginning, she could easily overlook it and pretend it wasn’t there, but it was getting to the point where she couldn’t look at him without being reminded of the ‘look’ she might see when they were alone together, and for some reason it gnawed at her insides. Not that she wasn’t appreciative…to be honest, it was the opposite of what she had ‘expected’ herself to feel.
That was the problem.
‘ If he finds out I…like him…’, Morgan grumbled silently to herself and nuzzled her face in her pillow. ‘ I can‘t keep laying here in bed! But I can‘t go out there…’, if he finally sealed the gap and tried to make a move, Morgan didn’t trust herself to stop him and walk away. It was easy to ‘imagine’ pressing her hands on his chest to softly push him away; but, thinking something and actually doing it were two very different things. She had been ‘avoiding’ any ‘hints’ of discussing anything mushy like feelings, but what if he started being stubborn and persistent?
Throwing the blanket off of her body, Morgan let out a huff and climbed out of the bed to get ready for the ‘night’. Walking out of her room wearing her usual jeans and a black, form-fitting, t-shirt, Morgan looked both ways before stepping out into the hallway leading to the foyer. ‘ He must have left…’ Unsure if she was relieved or disappointed, Morgan leaned against the wall and closed her eyes in thought. Michael was her best friend, and the others might ask questions if they just ‘stopped’ spending time together. ‘ I‘ll just go for a walk and see if he‘s outside…’ Knowing him, he probably was.
~
Closing the front door behind her, Morgan pulled her hands from her pockets and began walking into the forest. With her eyes closed Morgan could vaguely scent a pathway through the trees, and with hurried feet she followed it. Being on her own in the forest was rarely something she was comfortable doing this time of the year; but, thankfully she did not have to run as far as she thought she would. However, seeing Michael talking to another vampiress made her stop walking. ‘ Who is she?’, Staying in the shadows, Morgan gripped her hand against a nearby tree and hid her body behind it. For reasons unbeknownst to her, a strange tugging was squeezing the inside of her chest. Perhaps seeing Mike talking to what could be deemed one of the most beautiful creatures she had ever seen had something to do with it. Far enough away to feel confident of not being discovered, Morgan poked her head around the corner and continued to ‘eavesdrop’ on the conversation.
{Now I see you from the corner c l o c k s t r i k e sand I know you will be drinking alone

► I don't want to change the world ~ I just want to leave it colder ◄ Hearing his voice made Angela pause. It had been a long time since she heard it. She couldn’t even really remember the last time they had talked. Seeing him, Angela thought she very well could have been imagining him there. She had just been thinking about him. Maybe she just missed him too much. When he spoke, she knew that it was really him. She had on occasion remembered what his voice sounded like but not even her memories could compare to the real thing.
It took awhile before she finally lowered her gun. It wasn’t until he asked how she was that she found herself able to do so. It was hard to bring herself to do so. It was dropping her defense, which was not something she was accustomed to. With her life, you always had to be on the defense or you would die. ”I’ve been alright.” She couldn’t think of what else to say to him. How could she say what all had happened since he had left? She had been through quite a few emotions but she couldn’t tell him any of that. Angela wasn’t one to share her emotions easily.
She was a bit surprised to hear him speak of the base as home. It was a home but for some reason she assumed that Mitch would just call it the base. To her it was a good sign. ”Everything’s business as usually there.” Angela looked him up and down. He hadn’t changed a bit since she last saw him. She hoped that was true for everything else. She hated that she didn’t know what to do. Everything used to come so easily with him. Now she struggled to find what to say. ”How have you been?”

It was understandable. They had literally just met. He hoped he could give off a friendly demonear. He really wanted to help her in any way he could but he wouldn’t be able to do that too well if she didn’t trust him. ”Well, it’s nice to meet you, Arraine.” He smiled at her again. He decided it would be best to keep his distance and let her close it if she wished. That way she would feel a bit more in power and be slightly more comfortable around him.
When she confirmed that she was hungry, Michael nodded as well. ”Well, then, you are welcome to follow me. Our Coven accepts any Vampires that wish to join. Or if you would prefer to continue on your own, we will give you a place to rest during the day as well as some blood. Excuse me for saying this but you don’t look at all like you are ready to hunt.” He hoped he hadn’t offended her by saying that. It simply would just be easier if they retrieved some of the blood that was already stored. With the area they were in, it would be hard to find an acceptable prey that wouldn’t end up with the dangers of a hunter.
Michael took a step back towards the building and then looked at Arraine. ”If you follow me, it’s not long before we’ll reach my home.” He knew that she was cautious so he felt he should add his last line. ”You’ll be safe there. I promise.” Michael was very curious about this girl but figured it would be better to not ask questions. If she wanted to share her personal stories than she could on her own.

❧ Be strong✦Be strong now✦Too many✦Too many problems✦Don't know where she belongs✦Where she belongs❧ Arraine wasn't offended by what he said about her hunting, she knew he was right. Not knowing she could be a part of a coven or really how anything worked, she was happy to hear that she could be accepted into this one at least. She did not wish to be alone as she was now, it was not meant for her especially lately. She had a feeling if she stayed on her own that she wouldn't make it much longer.
More lenient toward following him she still wasn't sure about it yet. Her instinct didn't tell her not to go but she couldn't be sure about this place she would be going yet. Hearing the words safe and promise in almost the same sentence she decided that it would be okay to go. "Alright. I will go with you." Arraine didn't talk terribly much she did not know what else to say. She didn't want to bore anyone talking about herself plus she also liked to have a little bit of mystery to herself. She was not aware of why that was but she just did.
Walking over so she was standing next to Michael she stopped waiting for him to continue so she could follow. Obviously she had decided he was safe enough to be around for now but she would still be aware as she usually was. The way it seemed she would most likely not initiate conversation, it had been a while or long enough at least since she had spoken really with anyone. Wanting to avoid making a fool of herself she decided not to talk too much which translated to not very much at all unless she was spoken to and felt the need to reply. ❦ Strengthen your arms now•Train your fingers for battle•Urgency's here now•Train your fingers for battle ❦

She was hesitant to do so, but that much he expected. It was like a rule after all. Lowering you weapon was something you never did unless you were sure that all was safe. She still seemed unsure about it, but at least he could breathe a little easier. He remained quiet as she finally came to realize that he was in fact there, in the flesh. It was a shock for him too, but he was the one who snuck up on her. He wished he could have met her on better terms, but you take what you can get. Of course, Mitch knew he was more than welcome back to base whenever he pleased, but he just couldn’t go back. If he went back, then the werewolf friends that he tried so hard to get to trust him would turn on him.
The truth is Mitch is still a werewolf. It is something that he is going to be until someone finds a cure for it. He could go back to a human life, but it would never be the same. He would still be considered a freak among everyone else. At least now he was among friendly freaks who accepted him. He listened to Angela’s short and to the point responses. In the time he’s been gone it seemed like their relationship has changed so much. It never seemed so awkward and straining before. It used to be so easy. They worked well together and it was easy talking to her. Now it just seemed like pulling teeth trying to talk to her. But what did he expect? Did he honestly think that things between them were going to be the same after he left? For all he knew she had a new boyfriend now and totally forgot about him.
It seemed like what they had before was gone, and that saddened him. Would he ever live a normal life again? He leaned against the tree and tried thought about how he was going to answer her question. How much should he tell her? What should he tell her? “That’s good. I see you’ve been kicking some vampire a**.” He made sure not to mention werewolves. He didn’t want to know if she had been hunting them, because it became a sensitive subject to him now. Hopefully she wouldn’t say anything because Mitch wasn’t sure he’d want to hear it. “I’ve been good. I’ll admit, it was tough at first adjusting to this new life style. I’m glad you got to see me in this form and not my wolf form.” He wondered if she would recognize him in his wolf form. He was actually glad he got to meet up with her while in his human form. If that weren’t the case, the chance that she would have tried to kill him was likely. “So anything new and exciting happen since I left?” Mitch hoped that by changing the subject, she wouldn’t ask him too many questions. He wasn’t sure what he was going to tell her about the things he found out. He was also curious as to what had been happening and if anyone has been asking about him, but he wasn't going to say that.

With how lost and scared she looked, he wanted to be able to give her some comfort. Michael couldn’t help but wonder something about her. He knew there were vampires out there who had no respect for their own kind. They would go around and do as they please, changing anyone they wanted to and then just leaving them. They never took responsibility for there actions.
Vampires like that were not welcomed in his coven. Vampires like that were considered to be scum. His coven believed that one needed to look after his own kind. These vampires were not like that. As he kept thinking about it, Michael really hoped that this girl wasn’t turned and just left. It wouldn’t be safe at all for her if she had no idea who she was.
As they continued walking, Michael caught sight of something up ahead. Cautiously, he took a few steps forward and thought he recognized the person he saw. ”Morgan? Is that you?” If it was her, Michael wondered what she was doing out here. Not that it was against any rules or anything, but he was curious. Had she been watching him?

❧ Be strong✦Be strong now✦Too many✦Too many problems✦Don't know where she belongs✦Where she belongs❧ Arraine was alone in life at the moment, a coven sounded nice to her. She had always disliked being alone, now that she was truly alone she had learned to adapt to it but it wasn't pleasant. Her steps were light as she walked on the balls of her feet giving her more movement range. Arraine could be quite quick to move when she felt the need for it.
Arraine knew that she could not trust anyone she met completely or at least she felt that way. This was one of the ways she protected herself, it seemed that others always left or lied. It was quiet as they walked which should have been weird but it wasn't for her since she had been alone for a while meaning none stop silence all of the time.
Stopping momentarily as Michael's steps seemed to change to wary she continued slower than she had been walking before. Having been looking at her feet as the walked she hadn't seen the figure up ahead. Following his gaze she didn't see anything right now but didn't doubt that he saw something. Being on guard again she waited to see what it was, she was ready to move at any time if needed. Arraine was not one to attack she was skilled in fighting that she knew of and was not prepared to wing it. Who is Morgan? She wondered unsure about the situation still. She was not even sure if what was up ahead was in fact Morgan or something more dangerous.
A nervous feeling passed through her. The suspense was not helping her with her need to run at any moment. Her jaw clenching her body tensed. A flitting thought crossed her mind she knew relaxing her muscles would aid her better if she needed to run. Exhaling lightly she re-relaxed her muscles, the scared look returned to her face it was something she did unconsciously. ❦ Strengthen your arms now•Train your fingers for battle•Urgency's here now•Train your fingers for battle ❦

► I don't want to change the world ~ I just want to leave it colder ◄ Angela watched Mitch as he started to talk again. It was still quite a shock to see him. He hadn’t checked in at all with Headquaters. It was almost like he had disappeared off radar once he became a werewolf. That was not something Angela liked. She remembered being close to the point of begging Mitch not to go through with the operation. They were no closer to find a cure for these beasts and there was no telling how long he would have to stay like that. There was nothing she could do about it now though. What’s done is done.
She listened to him as he seemed to have the nerve to even joke about the fact that he was a werewolf. She didn’t find it amusing at all. ”How can you even joke about that? It’s not funny.” Her face was serious and she even felt a little anger rising in her. ”I don’t know if you’ve forgotten this in your time away, but the creatures you are living with, the race that you turned yourself into, is the enemy. Until a cure can be found, we have to dispose of them the only way I know how. Kill them. The very idea that you think it’s funny to come across my path as a werewolf is furiating. If that were to happen I would kill you without a second thought.” She paused for a moment staring at him. ”Excuse me if I don’t want to have to worry about every werewolf I kill to end up being you.” That thought was one that haunted Angela. She had killed a few werewolves since Mitch had left. Every one she worried that she had made a mistake. It didn’t help at all that he never checked in any more.
With a slight huff, Angela sat down on fallen log. She looked at the ground, basically looking anywhere but at Mitch himself. She didn’t want to fight with him. This was the first time she had seen him in what felt like months. Trying to regain an ounce of peace between the two of them, Angela decided to at least answer his last question. ”As to anything exciting, not really. Everything has been pretty much business as usual. No big breakthroughs in any area.” She chanced a glance at him to see how he was. She needed to know if he was angry or not. If he was then that would be her cue to be angry as well. ► I will not bow ~ I will not break ~ I will shut the world a w a y ◄

She didn’t like the idea of him turning into a werewolf in the first place, and now after not keeping in touch for so long, she wasn't going to be too pleased. As much as he wished she wouldn’t be angry with him, he knew the chance was slim. She was one tough cookie, and upsetting her was not in your best interest. In all honesty, he wasn’t joking about what he said. It really was tough adjusting, but he had to do it. He knew he couldn’t turn back into a human until a cure was found, which could be never. So rather than try to deny it, he might as well embrace it.
He tried to remain calm and listen to her rant about werewolves. Each word she said about them being the enemy was like a sharp stab. How could she say such things? It wasn’t that I forgot, it’s just that now things changed. They weren’t the enemy, and it took until he was one to figure that out for himself. He winced when she said if he ever came across her in his wolf form that she’d kill him. Mitch was suddenly really glad that it wasn’t a full moon. If it was, he’d most certainly be dead. He had to remember to keep that in mind when he would be in his wolf form. After listening to her threats and jabs at the werewolves, he began to regret going to see Angela in the first place. Why didn’t he just ignore that desire to see her and just keep going with his business? He watched as she sat down on a nearby log and went on to explain how things were back at base. That just infuriated him. How could she just go on about how bad the werewolves are and how she would kill him if she saw him in his wolf form, and then just nonchalantly move on?
Now he was hooked on that. He wasn’t going to let her accuse and bad talk his friends. He was one of those creatures now so it hit him on a personal level. “Maybe you forgot, but I am one of those beasts now. There is no going back.” He paused for a moment to gather his thoughts. “And they aren’t the wild and savage beasts you think they are. Killing and hunting them isn’t going to solve anything. They have families and feelings too. You think they are going to be all nice and calm about you killing their family?” He was angry now. He didn’t like knowing that she would be willing to kill him just because he was werewolf. She just didn’t get it. “Everyday their lives are in danger, so yeah I guess I can see why they’d be angry.” He wasn’t going to let her bash them without a fighting chance. It was personal now.
Punching the tree trunk to let out his anger, he made a small dent, pieces of bark falling to the ground. He swore under his breath as his knuckles started to bleed a little. Taking a few moments to calm himself, he felt bad for his outburst. She was just doing her job, a job that he was once a part of. He used to be the one who thought that the werewolves had to be terminated. Things sure have changed. She was only saying those things because that was what she thought, what she grew up to believe. She didn’t know any better; neither did the rest of the hunters. Until they know what it was like to live as a werewolf, they will never understand.

DarkYang109 ► I don't want to change the world ~ I just want to leave it colder ◄ Mitch’s reaction was definitely angry. All the things he was saying was fueling Angela’s anger back up. Okay, if he wanted a fight. He was going to get one. The punch to the tree didn’t scare Angela too much. It just reminded her of how strong he was. How dangerous he was. She mentally checked where her weapons were on her so she would be ready…just in case.
”Everyday our lives are in danger as well. So are you telling me I have no reason to be angry? They are no innocent or have you forgotten that living with them. “ This was the last thing she wanted to happen when she saw Mitch but nothing could stop it now. ”Excuse me for looking out for myself so I don’t get killed. I guess I should apologize about caring for you as well. Since you obviously don’t consider yourself part of the human race anymore I should apologize. I should apologize about missing you too.” After saying that she had to switch from her sarcastic anger to just anger. ”I missed you, ok? Do you know that? Do you even care? It doesn’t help that I worry that you will die before the next time I see you. Or the fact that you don’t feel it necessary to check in every now and then so everyone doesn’t think that you are dead.” Of course saying that just made Angela remember all the nightmares she would go through of Mitch being dead. They left her with cold chills every time.
She couldn’t even find words to say to him anymore. She just stared at him waiting for his next move. It was her strategy. She used it in combat and in life. She waited for the other person to make a move and then she would make one in response. It was rare for Angela to make the first move in anything. ► I will not bow ~ I will not break ~ I will shut the world a w a y ◄

{In the first days of the spring time made you up and split from one thousand enemies made a trail of, of a thousand tears made you a p r i s o n e r inside your own s e c r e c y
There's a g h o s t in me who wants to say "I'm sorry" Doesn't mean I'm sorry } {✖Morgan✛Winchester✖} Watching from around the tree, Morgan could see the pretty vampiress move forward to stand beside Michael, a questionable expression on her face. Nay, her face was more fearful than questioning. Distrustful perhaps, and that look on her face was what made Morgan uneasy. ‘ Oh no, is she joining us?’, Frowning at the thought, Morgan could easily imagine Michael being the type of person to escort the new vampire around and teach her proper hunting tips. Among other things. Unsure where that thought decided to come from, Morgan soundlessly grumbled and felt an sinking feeling in her stomach. ‘ This should not be affecting me…’, tempted to smack the tree, Bella knew that would give her presence away, so she simple continued to keep silent as the pair walked towards their encampment house. ‘ Oh no…she‘s joining our group…’, As happy as she was to keep newborns from being killed, this newborn happened to be gorgeous, and it made Morgan feel terribly distraught at the idea of watching the two of them together -in their own home-. ‘ I‘ll have to be really nice to her, or everyone will know that I dislike her.’, it wasn’t her fault that Bella was distrustful, and for that Bella felt remorseful for thinking poorly.
However, Morgan’s thoughts were soon interrupted by the careless placement of her own footing. Snapping a tiny twig, Morgan’s face tightened in horror as she whipped her face around the trunk to hide her body from view. Not that it helped any in the long run. Hearing Michael call out her name in question, Morgan bit down on her lip and shook her head to punish herself. Opening her clamped shut eyes, she took an unnecessary breath to have air in her lungs to converse back with her ‘friend’. ‘ Cr*p, no hiding from them now…’ Feeling foolish for having been eavesdropping, Morgan slipped out from her hiding place with as normal a smile she could fake on her pale face. ‘ If you notice…Don‘t say anything…’ Morgan thought, hoping it had not been outwardly projected.
“ Hi Michael…”, Morgan said after walking out from behind the tree, lifting her right arm to prop her hand against the trunk of the tree. Unconsciously scratching her delicate little fingers against the bark, her scratching resulting in peeling away little chips of the tree’s skin like a cat marking her territory. ‘ Don’t ask. You don‘t wanna know…’, Morgan thought as warning tones rippled out from her aura to permeate the atmosphere. She wasn’t warning the girl, it was more a general hope that Michael wouldn’t ask why she had hidden herself behind the tree.
“ Who‘se she?”, Morgan was not particularly fond of slang, and as she slightly frowned at speaking those words alone, Morgan tilted her head to admire this strange female from the feet up. ‘ Yep. She‘s gorgeous.’, being able to admire someone without having to poke her nose in-between tree branches was, for once, less of an enjoyment. Smiling broadly, mostly to be civil because she had no viable reason why she distasted her presense, guilt made her want to walk forward and shake her hand. ‘ This is getting awkward…’, Not waiting for a reply, Morgan started walking back towards the house.
“ I‘ll see you around, have her meet the leader…”, With that, Morgan metaphorically turned her back on the situation. Her back having already been turned a moment before.

He didn’t really care at the moment though. He was angry as well. She just told him that she’d kill him and any other werewolf that crossed her path. He couldn’t just let her say that about his family. Those werewolves took him in even though he was once the very person that was out to destroy their race. They opened up their home and helped him adjust to the new changes of being a werewolf. They taught him all he needed to know and even trusted him enough to tell him of some of their secrets. That was more kindness than what he found in the human world. In the human world everyone looks after one person, themselves. That was what the problem was with the human race, and that included him. Back when he was human, he was the only person he cared about. He did what he could to succeed and didn’t care who it hurt.
With the werewolves it was different. When you are a part of their family, you know someone has got your back. Angela’s response just made him even angrier. Maybe he did forget that the humans were in danger as well. For as long as he’s been a werewolf, he’s been told that the humans and the vampires were the enemies. At first he didn’t believe it, but after living like a werewolf and hearing their stories, he began to believe them. Except Mitch was too proud to admit that. “Maybe you haven’t realized, but I’m not a human anymore! I’ve changed. Every full moon I turn into an oversized canine. I’m not a human anymore. I can’t be one and I can’t live like one. All of that changed once I went through with the transformation.” He was really angry now. He could feel his blood pressure rising, and his face getting hot. He had to calm himself down before something happened that he would later regret.
Listening to what Angela had to say next did the trick. He anger slowly dissipated as he heard what she had to say. He never really thought about what this change had done to her. Lately he’s been more concerned at how his life has changed. He knew he lost a lot, but he didn’t think about how much she lost. He didn’t really know what to say to that. He missed her too, a lot, and he felt awful for not checking in with her. He didn’t want her to constantly worry if he was dead or not, but he couldn’t turn his back on the rest of the pack. Now he really regretted coming to see her. If he just stayed away, then he wouldn’t have to face the toughest decision of his life. There was no way that Angela would understand how he felt, how he changed. He didn’t want to end his human life, but he felt it was out of his hands now. “I’m sorry.” He really didn’t know what else to say, but he knew sorry wasn’t going to cut it. “I didn’t realize how hard it has been on you. It’s just, things are different now. You wouldn’t understand.” His previous anger was exchanged with sadness. He never realized how much it would hurt to see Angela again.

He was always happy to see her. She was his best friend after all. He was a bit surprised by her phrasing of asking who Michael was with. He was just about ready to introduce her when Morgan started walking away. What was up with her? Michael looked back at Arraine and offered her a small apology. ”That was Morgan, I’ll hopefully introduce you to her properly later.” Her smiled at her and then continued walking. He almost felt like he was following Morgan because they were going to the same place.
As he walked, Michael worried that he did something to upset Morgan. He racked his mind for what it could have been. He was coming up absolutely blank. There was nothing that he could think of that would upset her. This didn’t calm him down any. It simply made him feel worse. If he couldn’t remember what he did and it ended up being a big deal, he would feel horrible for forgetting about it.
He looked back at Arraine when they were close enough to the house. He gave her a look that said he would be right back and then he ran to catch up with Morgan. His plan was to make it brief in case she was ready to tear his head off. ”Hey.” He lightly took a hold of her arm so she would stop walking and listen to him. ”Can we talk later? Please? “ He knew he would need to get Arraine some blood. Who knows when she had her last meal? Later they would both have the time to talk this whole thing out. He then waited. Waiting for Morgan’s response and for Arraine to reach them from the point she was at.
[sorry that this is a bit short.]
