Tony looked proud when she told him he did well. He wasn't feeling goofy any more, or embarrassed, for the most part. He didn't mind that he had to be walked through these steps like a baby by a girl who was half his age. She was a good teacher, and knew what she was doing. he had no clue, and thus needed to be taught.
So it worked out.
He took the hat, then looked at the horse. He wondered how shorter people managed to get on the big beasts, as he felt rather intimidated just looking at it and trying to figure out how to get into the saddle. He moved to it though, and managed to climb up after three tries, and without falling off completely. So, better than he had imagined he might, at any rate!
"That wasn't so bad!" he laughed, though he imagined the most challenging bit was to come.

Going on the horse back was the most difficult part. For everyone it was a challenge the first time. When Anthony was finally ready she almost jumped on her own horse back. She treaned since she was a kid and so she was really fast to go up.
"Ok let's take a walk" she said smiling. "Just say Go with a small kick on his flank, he will follow us" She did the same with Fallon and they started their ride toward a little forest outside the center.

The librarian couldn't help but look a bit jealous as she effortlessly climbed into the saddle, his face red from embarrassment and effort. But if she hadn't had done it easily, it would have been even worse, right? She was supposed to know what she was doing: she was the teacher.
He would have been very uncomfortable if she had fallen off, or something. He was putting his trust in her, after all.
"Ahh... alright," he said, clearing his throat. he looked at the back of the horses head, getting a stern expression. He could do this. This was easy, right? He took a breath, trying to give off the impression that he could be commanding. "Let's go, then."
The horse didn't move. Tony deflated a bit.
"Go?" he tried again, a bit meeker, and he kicked his heels gently into the horses' flank. That made him go, and he walked lazily beside Ariel. "Oh! Ah ha! This isn't so bad!"

"Point for you" Ariel said with a voice a little higher than before because she was not that close anymore. Her and Fallon were heading to the forest. "You make him move it is already pretty good. We are going for a little turn in this forest" she said pointed the big fir trees.
"There is a path done by my mother and me already for the lessons"

Tony looked proud of himself, nodding his head. He could at least get the horse walking! He was, for the first time, actually riding a horse. He tried not to get excited about it, since he was no longer a kid, but it was thrilling and felt rather like a dream come true, of sorts. He had always wanted to ride a horse, but never had the means before.
He patted the horse on the neck encouragingly, and thanking him silently for not bucking the librarian right off.
Glancing at where she was pointing, he nodded his head, taking a breath. A path? They could do that, no problem. It was just a matter of keeping the horse walking, and not going too fast, right? No problem.
He had to keep telling himself that as he made the horse walk, leisurely to say the least, toward the trees she had pointed at. At this pace, they would get there by nightfall, he was sure.

Ariel was watching how Anthony's was doing, he was alright it seemed. Time to move on she thought then. She moved Fallon harnest and turned back by the man' side.
"If you are at ease let's go a little faster or you will need to eat at home tonight" she laughed. This pace was good but right now there was no tree to bother them so they could go faster.

Tony looked anxious.
"Faster?"
He wasn't sure he liked the sound of it, but he listened to her, knowing he was probably vexing his horse by making them crawl along at an impossibly slow pace. He tried to encourage the horse to go faster, doing the same thing he had to get him going. He pressed his ankles a bit too fast, too hard, though, and the horse jolted forward suddenly.
Which resulted in Tony falling backwards just as suddenly.
He hit the ground, though the fall wasn't traumatic or even painful. His pride was wounded, and he sat up, blushing and laughing. The horse had stopped, noticing his rider was missing, and Tony climbed back into the saddle.
"Right, take two," he said, this time successfully getting the horse going at a good pace.

Ariel was a little panicked when she saw Anthony falling on the ground. She guided Fallon to turn back on their side.
Need help ? she wanted to ask but he was already back on the horse and doing pretty well.
She joined his side and his pace. "Sorry maybe it was too early to go faster. Are you alright ? not hurt anywhere ?"
You could see her worry face pretty well. Not the first time she saw a student fell but because they didn't know how to fall they could be badly hurt and lost confidence.

"Oh, no, nothing hurt," save his pride, but that had learned how to heal quite quickly, considering. He smiled at her jovially, brushing off the incident as fast as he could, if only because he felt silly enough already and lingering on it would only make things worse.
He chuckled.
"I'm sorry to startle you. And the horse. I didn't, ah. I'm learning. I know not to do.. that... now." He grinned, opting to take it in stride. And he decided, since he was literally and figuratively getting back on the horse, he would try to make the horse go faster again.
He encouraged the horse with a softer kick this time to get him going, and this time he succeeded in speeding up without falling off.
"Oh! There we go!" he let out a hoot, excited by the progress.

"That is good to hear. Well you are not the first one, it happen some times" She looked relieved and then they started back. They arrived quicker at the forest and she headed on the path always watching on the back to see if everything was alright.
It was a small path, but large enough for horses. It was a good day and the sun was high so it was possible to enjoy the walking between the nature too. It was a good exercise too because the horse moved up and down according the level of the path and so it taught how to balance his own body.

Tony focused very hard on riding and staying on the horse. He would not repeat that fall, and he also did not want to spook the animal at all. He was careful of that, not wanting to offend it or do anything to make his teacher upset with him.
He liked animals. He was getting better with them since getting Dogby, as Booder, his hamster, had never exactly been high maintenance. But the dog was a lot of work, and he felt like he was getting used to it.
He followed her to the forest and down the path, looking around just enough to appreciate the beauty, though admittedly he kept his eyes on the horse as if watching the back of its head would ensure his ability to stay on it.
"This is really nice, isn't it? I mean, I guess you could get tired of it, if you did it every day, but for me... this is a nice change of pace. Very pretty." He gripped the reigns tightly, going very slowly over the uneven path.

Ariel was still leading the way, happy to hear that her student liked the environment. She wanted to go at a special place to show him too.
"Actually, I never get tired of this forest. I don't come everydays too. I am a high school girl so during the week I explore the library, if you remember" she laughed.
"I come here only on week ends and to train myself with archery" She started this training long time before becoming a senshi actually but she did it even more after because she practiced a lot in the forest.
"There is a place where we will take a little rest over there, we are soon arrived;" she said while hearing the water noise.

Tony chuckled, nodding his head.
"That makes sense, of course. I imagine school must take up more time than this. I keep forgetting that some teenagers actually do go to school like they're supposed to."
Not like his son, of course.
Tony had no room to complain though, considering he hadn't finished school at the appropriate time, either. Nate had every right to throw that back in his face whenever Tony got on his nerves about it. So they never solved that argument, and Nate got away with slacking off, as always.
"You study archery? That's interesting. I'm not sure I have the aim for that."

"Yes, I started when I was kid, it is good to practice balance too. But I did it much now to improve my skill in fight..." she stopped. She probably said an unecessary thing. She didn't really know how to do with her senshi secret. Her mom knew but how people would react in general?
But she had no time to question herself more. They arrived where she wanted. A beautifull lake place with a small waterfall. "We are here, let's the horses drink a little and take a rest. Us too"

Tony nodded his head, interested in her story. He looked at her in wonder when she stopped talking. What had she been saying? Fighting? She didn't look like a brawler, but maybe she was taking some kind of karate class...
Or something. He didn't press her. She did stop speaking, after all, and that meant the topic was not something she wanted to expand on. If she felt comfortable telling him, she would.
He smiled uncomfortably, but hid it quickly with warmth.
It was easy to mean it, looking around at the area. "Oh, this place is beautiful." He nodded his head at her directions, slipping from the horse gracelessly, nearly toppling over when his foot caught in the stirrup, but he got himself free.
He sighed, glancing at his watch. Not too late yet, but he imagined Nathan would grump at him if he wasn't there to serve the teenager his microwaved food.
