Sadly, Malodore lacked the facial equipment for 'a slow smile spread across its face', but its tone pretty much made up for it. "That sounds affascinante. Making patchworks from scratch requires skilled use of FEAR, but if her own natural power provides the animate force... assembling a suitable vessel should be relatively simple." Ooh, the wheels were already turning in the plague doctor's head... though it did slow down a bit when it remembered Amrita would likely want a say on her next body's accouterments!

In his fervor, Christof had completely passed by Malodore's dorm room and down a completely wrong hallway. It wasn't that far between Mal's and Amrita's, nor even his own, but relying on instinct when you had never been to a place combined with a lack of sleep had certainly bought the Demon and the Plague Doctor time for briefing. He had been unresponsive to any of Amrita's questions or pleas to stop a moment, finally doubling back around to the door he had missed. Damn! The filled marker board outside had obscured the creature's name. He felt a little foolish. But the important thing was they were there now and there still was plenty of time before any of them had class. Keeping a firm grip on the ghoul's wrist with one hand, he raised the other to knock urgently.

Riley felt a familiar flutter in her chest, and her eyes slit happily. I was hoping you'd say that. I'll admit, the idea captured my interest from the moment he mentioned it. Such a grand scale, too.. an entire body from scratch. Of course, I believe my own part in the creation may not be as grand as yours, being that you are the one with the experience and artful craft. She eyed his hands, which no doubt itched to begin already, before turning back up to him. I intend to do my best not to disappoint you, however. Especially when it comes to disentangling her from her current body. Her mind had been working on several ideas for that, as well.
It is in that, perhaps, that my services may come in most handy.
Her thoughts were interrupted with the knock, and she swiveled to the door. Ah, our guests have arrived. She turned her head to the side, her eyes crinkling in a smile. Shall I welcome them in?

At the knock, Luce started barking; she sprang out of her bed entirely to caper in front of the door, rearing up to plant her paws on the wood every few seconds. "Luce, vieni! Sedere!" Malodore ordered, and after one more bark the cwn pup trotted back to Malodore's side, though she kept giving the door highly suspicious looks.
"Si prega di farlo," it told Riley, cheerfully. This was very exciting indeed.

Luce's reaction reminded her once more of how capable of a pet she truly was. Once more she reminded herself to find a hunting pet as clever as Luce, as she turned to open the door.
A slow pull had the door creaking open, perhaps a little more dramatically than was necessary. Riley placed her hand on the top of the door's edge, and with her other hand she gestured for Christof and Amrita to enter.
Welcome. We're so very glad to see you both. She murmured liquidly. Her excitement was obviously making her a bit theatrical.

After a while she did get the hint and stopped asking questions or announcing distress in general; he wasn't listening anyway. She considered showing off her progress on getting out of her body, but, well...he was holding the wrong arm and who knew what would happen if she released the arm with his pulling on it. By the time he was forced to double back to the door she came to the conclusion that he was either crazy, forgot where his room was, or was bringing her to meet a friend...perhaps even a little of all three.
Riley opened the door and the Undead child stopped and stared for a moment...that was Riley? She vaguely recalled seeing the Demoness once (though in reality the actual number was about four)...but what was Riley doing in the Undead dorms? She was clearly a Demon. The thought left her though as a voice managed to get through the dim haze of her mind, making her squeak in surprise; apparently the mind-speak was among the number of things the Vetala had forgotten. Almost instantly after hearing the voice she broke eye contact to instead stare at the very interesting floor.
"Uh!" She started, leaning to shyly cling to Christof's arm like he'd protect her...or at least make her more brave. "...H-hello?"
She hadn't even seen the plague doctor yet.

Wobbling with exhaustion and excitement, the boil was just as disheveled as when Riley had left him. But at least he had brought them his project seemingly without much fuss! He beamed, his movements now more gentle than they had been before as he ushered the small ghoul inside and quickly shut the door behind them.
He had never been in Malodore's room, his attentions quickly drifting to the furniture and walls, curious how his hero decorated. In his mind it would have everything- the hanging skeleton, taxidermy animals, dribbly candelabras and a surgery table. Looking around at the interesting jars of things and rows of books he wasn't entirely disappointed.
Mistress, this is Amrita. The one I told you about, He mentally murmured, as though she couldn't surmise that herself.

Ah - this was Amrita? And she looked pretty worried. "Please, be at ease, signorina," Malodore said, nodding to her in a friendly fashion. "You are among friends here, I assure you. You are Amrita, yes? I am L.C. Malodore - please, call me Malodore."

Riley waited for the duo to enter the room, before closing the door behind them. Her eyes were focused very heavily on Amrita - though they moved as they took her in.
Christof. She reprimanded softly. I told you to get cleaned up before you brought your friend to see us. Look at you.. She moved to stand in front of him, brushing a bit of dirt out of his hair. This will not do. We must keep this room clean, above all others. How will we work here otherwise?
She looked up at Malodore. Do you have somewhere he can clean up a bit, or shall I send him to my room to do so? Her eyes flickered to Amrita, and she finally spoke directly to her. I apologize for Christof's appearance. He did something rather nice for me this morning, but it made a bit of a mess. She held her hand out, her eyes crinkling at the sides. I'm Riley, though I'm sure you've figured that out already. It's a pleasure to officially meet you.

Suddenly it made perfect sense as to why Riley would be in the Undead Dorm. The Vetala spotted Malodore shortly after he...she...it(?) addressed her, which brought to light a couple of memories. One, which wasn't so important, was Malodore helping Christof (which meant he must have been a friend of the patchwork), and the second, most important memory - Malodore had wanted to start a fire in Candy Cane Lane.
Oooh yes, she remembered Malodore, and she didn't think the second uncomfortable squeak she gave was entirely unfounded. A free hand did reach up to cover her own mouth a moment later, thumb curled under her chin. "S-sorry, just...fire." She explained lamely. "Yes...I'm Amrita. It's nice to meet you." A slight pause. "...Both of you."
The conversation baffled her. Christof was a mess, yes; but so was she! Well, she was only slightly messier than normal but...it was still a mess! Though the most baffling was the voice in her head, but of course it begged the eventual question:
"Umm...I don't...mean to be rude 'cause it really is, um, nice to meet you both...officially...but...what are we here for?" These three seemed to know each other fairly well, and since Christof wouldn't tell her what was going on...she was a little confused on her roll for the whole thing.

Oh... HELL'S BELLS. In his excitement, Christof had just assumed things would work out but he had completely forgotten to brief the poor ghoul in what he was up to! Well... it was too late for that...
Already flushing from his Mistress's picking at the dirt in his hair, he suddenly looked down at the dried mud his boots had tracked in, stomach clenching. Oh... Oh CANDLEJACK. I... I'm sorry Mistress! I was just excited to... to... to get everything going I completely forgot- a lot of things. He quickly shrugged out of his rotten brain-smeared vest, using his scarf to try to mop his face and neck in a hurried cleansing movement that... almost helped. But didn't really.

"Of course - here, Christof." Malodore swished aside a curtain set into one wall. Behind that curtain was Malodore's bed, along with a small alcove with a sink and towels. "Use whatever you need."
That done, it turned to Amrita. "Ah... Christof has told us that you could use some assistance, and asked us if we could help you. If you are willing, of course." It bowed to her again, trying to defuse some of the tension; proper bedside manner ho!
Even if it wasn't technically at a bedside.

Riley's eyes flashed for a moment, clearly angered as they fell on Christof. Other than her brief glance, however, she made no outward sign that she was upset at his failure.
Hmm. She mused softly, looking away to collect herself. Well. While Christof gets cleaned up, why don't we have a chat, Amrita. She held out her hand to the smaller ghoul. Her eyes now held nothing but careful calm.
Christof has given us some basic details on your current.. situation. She lifted the ghouls hand slightly to gesture at her body, before her other hand came up and patted Amrita's. Malodore and I have some skills that may be of use to you, if you'd like. She let the girl's hand go, and pressed a long finger against her chin. Our plans are simple. We shall first attempt to make you a new body. This is the easy part, believe it or not! She chuckled, glancing up at Malodore affectionately, before returning her gaze to Amrita. Then, we shall work on disentangling you from your current predicament. I have a few things I might try. I can promise nothing.. but it couldn't hurt to try, could it?

She wasn't quite sure if the answer she received was what she wanted to hear. Sure it meant there were people who wanted to help her out, but at the same time, it meant that more than just herself and Christof would know of her horrible predicament. It was terribly shameful to be trapped in a body like this! Amrita wasn't sure what to think, other than Christof why didn't you tell me you told someone else, because he was really only supposed to talk to Riley, or Oh hey they want to help me anyway how nice of them. It was probably the first one that came to mind most often, however.
Amrita looked between the polite Malodore and the calm Riley, then down to the hand of the latter which she couldn't help but reach out and take. "I...am willing." She murmured to Malodore, feeling it only polite to answer, before turning her attention towards Riley while doing her best to not keep solid eye contact; that made her uncomfortable.
"I've...I've been trying to get out of this one since I...well..." She whimpered a little, slumping her shoulders in disappointment...at least until a thought hit her and she straightened again. "I managed to get an arm out though! But...I'm sure I'll need all the help I could get." She seemed torn between being incredibly embarrassed, upset, and hopeful.
"...You'd really do this for me?" Her single eye shifted between Malodore and Riley.

Christof gave the small ghoul a gentle pat on her shoulder, trying to be supportive. She was in good hands! He had done her well. He made a promise and he was going to keep it. He glanced warily behind the curtain, his face flushing. That... that was where it slept! And... and bathed! Washing where Malodore washed? The Igor wobbled, not quite sure if he was worthy. Although it was just a sink, that was beside the point. Allowing his Masters to calm and brief the ghoul, he gave her shoulder an assuring squeeze, stitched mouth twitching upward into his awkward smile before he turned to hurry over to the sink to wash up before he chickened out. If only to make her more comfortable while he was gone, he was sure to drape his mildly soiled scarf around her shoulders so she knew he wasn't going to just leave her there alone for very long.
