When Red arrived Junko got worried. She looked so happy, so proud of herself. Ugh. She was so happy she caught them, huh? Junko kept her gaze low and away from the professor, reluctantly getting to her feet to follow her and the others to their detention. There were so many of them! What was she going to have them do!? Junko stayed close to Yaya their entire walk, getting more and more nervous the longer they walked. Calder had said such horrible things, and he had left so many hints to the horrors and...and...

...Laundry?

Junko blinked. Laundry? They had to do LAUNDRY? She looked to Yaya and frowned, whispering quietly to her. "What kind of punishment is doing laundry? I've always done my own laundry. I quite enjoy it." It was therapeutic if you will. She stepped away from Yaya as everyone made claims to what they were going to do, humming a bit and tapping at her lip.

"I suppose I'll sort through the blankets and put them in the cauldrons, then? Since everyone is stirring?" They didn't need so many people stirring, and the blankets weren't just going to put themselves in the cauldrons!

...Right? Junko nudged at one with her foot and frowned. They were really gross. Where did these things come from? They were so gross! Oh well. Just breathe through your mouth and not through your nose, Junko!

Barth dodged the laundry.

"Err, careful," he said, holding up the stack of papers in front of him like a shield. "Don't want to get these grimy."

Many people respected paperwork. Barth was not among them, but if they could delay laundry for as long as demonly possible, he felt it was about time paperwork started working for him. Important to Christof were the words Mark of Debt in the upper left-hand corner of the forms.

Christof glowered at first, but at the sight of the headings on the paperwork, he stopped, frowning curiously. He shifted his mound of filthy blankets, offering out a hand to take the pad of forms from the demon curiously. Demon Mark paperwork? He hadn't realized there was such a thing! He supposed that made sense,though- the school certainly wouldn't want Demons taking advantage of the other students- at least without keeping tabs on it.

Even so, that did not excuse the demon from joining them. A little physical labor would be good for his Master. He looked like he could use the exertion. Well, he had so far filled out all the paperwork Barth had pushed his way. He took the forms in one hand, dumping the large bundle of blankets into Barth's clawed hands once the forms were safely out of his grip.

Barth staggered, dropping all but one of the sloppy sheets.

His expression was incredibly wounded, but he soldiered through and managed, "Yes, err, apparently there's paperwork involved. In triplicate. Per deal. One copy for me, one copy for you
or whoever's been marked, and one copy for the office." Barth struggled with the single sheet he had left. The smell was...not good. And it was so heavy. And getting on his clothes. ....He dumped it in a nearby cauldron, without checking if it was the appropriate one or not.

"You, err, can just keep those, I guess."

She hadn't realized she'd been the first to say something until he answered, and once he started to speak she gave a little squeak. Ohjack she'd broken one of her own rules! Woooooe~! Luckily the boil didn't seem to mind being talked to, so it could have always been worse. However thanks to her little mistake, what was left of her face seemed to darken in an embarrassed blush.

"O-oh...Umm...n-no, we've...never met." She stuttered out, putting almost all of her very serious focus on stirring. It wasn't so bad so far, but the stench in the room was starting to get to her. "I'm...I'm Amrita." After biting the inside of her lip for a moment, she seemed to remember her manners. "Nice to, um, meet you...Raziel?" She hoped she was pronouncing it right!

"Were you...playing Truth or Dare, too?" She hadn't gotten a good look at all the players, there was a good chance she missed him.

To say the least, this wasn't something he wanted to be doing. Not that he had a problem with laundry, he did his own quite often, just... the smell and how ugly they looked made him twitch. Hey, the envy demon never said he wasn't a fickle being, ya know. Sighing as everyone took the easy jobs, he decided there was truly only one way to go about this. "I'll move blankets from one cauldron to another." It meant getting wet and covered in unmentionable nasty things, but it was better than being lazy. Besides, it wasn't like he could sit back and let ghouls do it on their own, right? How was that in any way fair?

Another sigh escaped him silently as he began to sort through the mess. No point in wasting time. The longer it took, the longer they'd be there and he didn't want to be there any longer than needed. And as long as everyone worked together, hopefully they'd all be able to get out in a reasonable about of time.

Barth certaintly had the right idea about things: if he at least acted like he was going to work, he could quite easily slip away and no one would be the wiser. Or at least that plan would have worked if he didn't catch sight of a particular gnome. This one had an eyepatch and leered in a not-very meaningful way at the demon, one hand gesturing quickly across its throat before pointing at the demon. Yeeeeeah, maybe hanging out here and doing laundry wasn't too bad?

"Calder!" Red called, "Get to work! This is detention, not 'stand around and do nothing,' as much as yas liked to." Oh, wait. Wasn't he a kelpie? That would explain the fascination, though she hoped he would at least do something before she had to intervene. She already completed her fair share of detentions when she was a student, after all!

The professor herself leaned against the wall with her arms crossed, clearly Not Moving to Help in Any Way.

[Maru@Cauldron size: I imagine them to be really big. :,D Big enough to need a small step ladder to be tall enough to stir them, possibly each cauldron fits 3-4 students around it depending on the student size~]

She smiled as Amrita got to work, before hopping off to do the same, hoping to speed up the progress. Grabbing a long stick, she placed it into a cauldron near to Amrita's (must learn to be apart from her!) and started to stir the bleach and blankets soaked inside; she knew from experience that while it looked easy, stirring a liquid filled with clothing is backbreaking work, especially for a ghoul who frankly speaking, is lacking in the 'physical strength' compartment.

Still, she did her best to keep up with the stirring, refusing to stop even when she could feel her hands getting numb.

"I think... You can remove them now?" She spoke out loud to whoever was moving the blankets as she finally allowed herself to stop; after soaking them in bleach, would the next step be moving them to the hot water cauldrons to wash the bleach off? Lizzy stared into the cauldron, eying its contents. Then, she used the long stick to get them out, lifting them over the edge so that it drops to the ground below... It would be easier for whoever was collecting them as well, she reckoned. Several blankets, however, had sunk to the very bottom of the cauldron and she could barely reach them with the end of the long stick, no matter how hard she tried... How do the gnomes do this?

"I need a little help here please?" She blushed, rather embarrassed; it sucks to be short. It really does.

Calder jumped, jerking to attention and blinking back into the present from staring. "Ye-Yeah, Lassie." He said, letting a little bit of is heritage slip. Looking about, he suddenly frowned deeply at seeing the blankets dumped into the cauldrons. What where they DOING?!! They were filling it up and not with BODIES! Worse yet, now it would make it just as hard to put anyone in as more room was taken by fabric and less for dunking people in.

Not liking this one bit, he moved over and then heard a boil say he'd help move the blankets out of the cauldrons, and Calder perked. "I'll help pull out blankets from the cauldrons." He said. Best to keep close to the cauldrons and also left him clear room. Now he just had to find someone that would fit nicely in the vats. Maybe someone with a small head. That way he could really shove them down in. Someone perfect for dunking…………….Calder looked about, reaching to grab some blankets from one vat – being mindful of the hot water- and moving it to another vat. Each time, he looked into the water, watching the blankets sink down…down…down.

Christof eagerly took the paperwork, ready to fill it out right then and there but.... Yaya still had his pen! And it looked like Barth was distracted now. Brows furrowing, he stuffed the forms into his vest for safe keeping, praying they would stay clean during all of this before shouldering another large load of filthy garments, barreling past Barth to dump them into the vat as well. Sorting? Who could sort anything, it all looked equally filthy.

How do the gnomes do this?

The gnomes, amazingly enough, have developed a rather ingenious system known simply as "Your Turn, Sucker." Gnomes lied and cheated during fierce tournaments of Scissor Paper Rock (a game clearly different than the stardard "Rock Paper Scissor" which doesn't roll off the tongue as easily) in order to determine who the Sucker usually was.

The lucky suckers were at the bottom of the Gnome Totem Poles. Gnomes were too short to reach the cauldrons, forcing them to sit or stand on each other's shoulders to gain enough height.

The unlucky suckers were those that had to don faulty scuba gear and dive into the cauldron to retrieve the clothes that sank. Most of these Suckers had a high Fear dissipation rate, however as soon as they reformed they were immediately put back to work continuing their Sucker job.

Today, however, every student was a Sucker. A more charitable gnome would offer a sympathetic pat to the students today, except there were none. All the previous gnomes that worked in this section were off taking bets on how long each student would last.

Junko joined the boils (Why was she the only ghoul sorting through this stuff?) in sorting through the blankets, gingerly plucking at them to determine which needed the bleach and which needed the soap. The crusty stuff definitely needed to be in the bleach. The rest? Soap would do just fine! She was taking them and putting them in two piles near the cauldrons she felt each blanket belonged in, casting Calder a glance to see him just staring into the water almost...hypnotized? Uhhhh... "Is everything alright, Calder?" Junko blinked, about to be a bit more worried when she saw Christof doing something awful.

He wasn't SORTING!

"Wh-what are you doing?! Some of those don't need to be put in the bleach water it only needs soap!" She cried out in dismay, her eyes wide and her jaw dropped. Boils! Boils clearly didn't know how to do laundry! Augh!

((Permission given by Dragain))

His ears caught the plea for help, and he turned his head to spot a short, small girl working one of the stirring sticks to push out the clothes. Not only was she perfect in side – she could clearly fit in the cauldron – but she wasn't one to make his task hard by being too large and strong. Lizzy was a perfect target, and he wondered, briefly, how Lizzy tasted. He hadn't had any real meal in a while, and while he ate any assortment of plant life on campus and had his fair share of meats from the cafeteria, it never compared.

Moving over, he was by the ghoul's side before anyone could offer a hand, and set one slender hand upon her shoulder. "Aye. I be willing to help a wee lass." He said with a smile, his eyes half open, heavy with delicious thoughts and the prospect of a good thrashing, and his mind swimming in primal urges. These sort of thoughts always went over him in waves when he caught the scent of deep water, in any amount, and not even soap and bleach could ruin it. He could sense it. It was there before him.

Clutching his slender shoulder, he judged her muscles and power, and leaned in, smiling. "Its just a matter of going for it. You aren't afraid of a little water, are you? I think you can find it very fun if you just hold your breath….." He gripped her shoulder more tightly, and then removed the stick from her hands. This close, Calder has a certain allure. White, misty hair of silken gloss, and heavy, green eyes with soft features. Genderless in that it wasn't a quiet that of a boy or a girl, but tempting all the same.

He took his other hand and set it against her head. "Let me help you…" And then he started to push her forward into the vat of bleach water.

Christof blinked as he was suddenly reprimanded by the Ghoul he vaguely knew of as Junko. One of Sin's friends, right. She was in a few of his classes as he recalled too... they hadn't formally spoken before- if you could call it that, and he gave an embarrassed, apologetic bow as he stopped his actions and dumped the pile between her sorted ones instead. Would that work? She could sort if she wanted, he was ready to transport. And smelling like he was doing a good job- at least it was covering the lingering aromas from etiquette class.

Calder felt a hand on his shoulder. It was Professor Red, whose previous happy expression darkened into a scowl. "Calder," she growled, "I suggest you curb your instincts NOW before you do something Very Stupid that might get you expelled. This is Detention. Shape up, or suffer the consequences."
