She smiled when he nodded, but her ears flicked and she looked over to see a couple of wolves trotting by in the distance, but they seemed to be eyeing them both. She could see they were hungry, probably looking for some small or weak animal to eat, but she quickly moved to stand over the basket it, not letting it be an easy target.

Rayearth's ears cocked toward the foreign noise. He turned his body to shield Tori's and her new basket. Drawing his sword from his side and held it in his mouth, he growled out in warning to the wolves. He hoped they were not dumb enough to attack two fully grown Soquili.

Thankfully the two predators knew better to take on a big, healthy male, especially with a female close by. They quickly went on their way and disappeared into the distance, thus Tori quickly calmed down, the flames on her wings dying down.

Rayearth followed the wolves with his eyes, making sure they left. His ears stayed perked up and alert for any distinct noise that a wolf would make in case they could possibly think they could fool him. When the coast was clear, he looked back to Tori and the basket.

She snorted out a bit of flame that only went a few inchs from her nostrils before disappearing and she moved from over the basket, "....It is hard, staying in one place....but I know don't know of a place to move him that he will be safe and warm...." she stated.

Rayearth pondered this, before glancing to Tori. "I live on in a cave up in a mountainous area. It is rare that there that scavengers or hunters pass by. The only animals that do visit me are birds of the sky, and small animals of prey." He said, offering the option to the mare.

Tori looked up at him and then down to the basket. It would do to get the basket out of the flat valley lands and away from the snow and storms, plus the cave and higher altitude would provide better protection. And...it would mean she would be closer to Ray. She nodded her head.

Rayearth glanced to the mare and then to the basket. "How will we transport the basket?" He was unsure of the methods he had in mind would support the foal or basket. The thought that emerged in his might was to carry the basket in his mouth like a wolf carrying its young by the scuff of their neck, but he was not dealing with a wolf cub. He needed to know how they would carry the basket before deciding to head out back to his home.

She looked down and wished she had a human around, they could have it carry the basket for them in their arms. ".....We shall put it on my back....slide it onto my back...." she said and she moved to the basket and laid herself as close as possible to it. Then she folded her wings down and rolled a bit so her back was on the ground, looking to him to push the basket.

Rayearth gently nudged the basket onto her back. Once he was sure that it was settled safely in between her wings, he moved away from her. "Get up slowly. I'll steady the basket so it won't fall off." He said softly to her, ready to help steady the basket if necessary.

She waited until she felt the full weight of the basket settle onto her back and she slowly rolled until she could start to stand up. With Ray's help, she was able to stand up fully, folding her wings up so the basket wouldn't shift about so easily when she started to move.

Rayearth watched the basket carefully before feeling satisfied that the basket would be safe. "Let us make haste lest the wolves think they can have another go at us." He said, heading towards his home at a slow pace so that Tori would not risk dropping the basket.

She nodded, not wanting to risk a fight with the basket so close. She followed after him at her own slow pace, making sure the basket never shifted too far.

Rayearth came to a thought and wondered if Tori would agree to the thought. He slowed to walk at her pace. "Would it be okay if we loosely wrapped a vine around the basket and you so that we do not have to be too concerned that the basket will fall?" He asked her, willing to accept if the answer was no.

She looked up at him when he came to walk beside her and asked if it would be ok to tie the basket to her, ".....It would be alright with me and put my mind at ease..." she said in acceptance.
