Lila approved of caution - and so despite her words she was not at all wounded by Redeye's first thoughts, not even his continued suspicion...though she did arch a brow at his precarious position - she was not stupid..he almost certainly armed in some manner but she disliked his test just the same for the perceived vulnerability he was placing himself in. "Their potential is all well and good but pointless if we don't have the means to keep matters in our favor while that molding is in process" She responded - more as a way to gain a few extra moments to think then any actual care about the kittens and their welfare...they might prove useful in the future..right now they were just a pain in her behind for the most part.
But enough about that matter for now..at the moment she had other things to attend to - namely placating Redeye's suspicions and dealing with Morgaine whose suspicious nature she had so far tolerated. As Red Eyes moved forward Lila turned around - effectively giving him her back and as sure a sign as anything else that she was still enlisted in his services. She knew what he was capable of.
Despite this knowledge however she was unwilling to let him walk through the middle of this group until both Morgaine and Sagara had also pledged their loyalties...and so if he decided to stab her in the back while she protected him - though she was quite sure that both Morgaine and Sagara would join their cause - then so be it. "Put your bow away before someone gets stuck with an arrow tip in this tiny a** room...and stop threatening him. Don't make me choose between loyalties Morgaine - we are old friends but I owe him a great many things" She told Morgaine in a serious but not unkind voice before motioning for Sagara and then Morgaine to proceed her and Redeyes into the room "Through the door and to the left" he instructed Sagara.
She choose Sagara to lead knowing that the other would listen..and while Morgaine would be antsy about having anyone one behind her - surely she wouldn't object to Lila being that person...and Redeyes would bring up the rear - typically not the most secure of positions but in this location and instance perfectly acceptable to Lila's way of thinking.
Sagara froze slightly as Morgaine shot back an angry retort and the black cat moved closer, her hands flexed slightly with the desire to palm her own weapon - just in case things got ugly but this thought was quickly quelled by the look Lila shot in her direction before turning her ire onto Morgaine.
Squeezing in between Lila and Morgaine, Sagara moved to follow the instructions she'd been given, though her fur stood on end at being so vulnerable - such were the way of orders sometimes. Doesn't mean you didn't follow them

To say that Morgaine didn't like the male cat before them was a very big understatement. At this very moment she didn't trust him one bit even if Lila did and from the looks of it even Sagara was willing to trust him to a certain extent. Of course at BC's words Morgaine had to let another retort slip out. "You should count yourself lucky then." She could still kill him if she really wanted to in a matter of second, and perhaps that chance was still something to look forward to in the future. But for now, in this moment she would allow him to live if only because Lila had summoned her here with the intention of meeting, not killing, him.
Being ushered around Morgaine sneered at the idea of not being in the back of the group. She was used to playing a rear patrol role, it was something she took quite seriously, and even though it was Lila directly behind her it was hard to relax. Especially when told to put her weapon away. "You know me well enough by now that the only way my arrow would strike any of us is if I wanted it to." Morgaine pointed out as they walked, and only after nearly reaching their destination did she finally slip the arrow back in it's quiver. The bow remained tightly in her hand however, bows by themselves made terrible weapons, but she was not willing to be completely unarmed at this point.
"As for the threatening..." Morgaine casually said to Lila. "you should also know by now that's just part of my nature." Perhaps one day she would learn to talk first, threaten later....but that would also mean she would need to be polite, and that wouldn't happen anytime soon.

The meaning in Lila's action wasn't lost on him, though nothing in his expression changed to suggest it. If these other two knew her as she claimed, there was little point in mentioning it like a gloating little boy. Nor did he bother answering Morgaine's retort - he counted himself lucky for different reasons than she thought.
There was some amusement to be found in the slight bickering between them, though.
At the rear it was. He followed the ladies towards the center of the office, the room Lila directing Sagara towards being the former boss's quarters. Small holes indicated where diplomas and other certificates must have been hung on the wall, and there were slight indentions on where the legs of his desk had been. Nothing from the human;s stay furbished the room now, so BC had accommodated it with his own findings: similar items on a smaller scale.
"Please, sit," he told them, indicating chairs they could pull up to his desk, which he sat behind. Given the attire the black cat was wearing, it almost did seem like he owned the office, and that the women were just settling in for a job interview. It almost essentially was by this point. "It's nippy up here, but bear with me until I can contact someone who can activate the heating and cooling system better. So." He leaned a little bit, one hand at rest on the desktop, the other making a prompting gesture towards Sagara and Morgaine. "Tell me a little more about yourselves. I've no doubt of battle prowess and skill, but I am curious as to how my dear general has roped you to our new cause."

"None the less, I'd prefer you not threaten him with either weapon or word, nothing here will harm you and nothing here shall harm him so long as I'm standing. I'd take it as a personal favor if you did't attempt to antagonize the situation" She responded to Morgaine as they went along. At least she hadn't put up a fuss about walking in front of them..even if the bearing of her shoulders and neck suggested an unhappy tension about the whole matter.
But they made it to the room without mishap, no one was bleeding, maimed or dead...which was a victory as far as Lila was concerned given the group they comprised and when Redeyes took his seat and motioned for the others sit Lila took up her customary station beside the door...the better to whack anyone trying to enter uninvited of course.
Sagara sighed slightly as she trooped along to the cat furnished office room...really sometimes it sucked to be the dependable one in any given situation - the tension behind her she could all but feel breathing down her neck and it was a relief to be relieved when they reached the office and were invited to sit.
She was pretty sure that Morgaine was not going to offer up any information right off the bat and after a glance to Lila and a returned not Sagara decided she might as well tart things off "Lila found me shortly after I was abandoned, I was young, completely lost and honestly I'm pretty sure she would rather have stuffed me in a garbage pail somewhere rather then take me on...but I was persistent and after a bit of training she found me a mentor suitable for my preferred weaponry, after my training with my master Lila and I worked a few jobs together and when she contacted me in need of trustworthy warriors I responded..and here I am"

Only the slight flick of her ears indicated that Morgaine had not only heard Lila but acknowledged her words as well. She would at least try to keep her threats in order, but it would be a hard feat as they ame so naturally to her. As the entered into the room Morgaine let her eyes do a quick survey but saw nothing that stood out as a possible danger. At the invitation to sit Morgaine crossed her arms and leaned against the wall by the door. "I'll stand." Of course she also wasn't willing to share her life story with this male yet either. In fact he hadn't even shared his name with them yet so why should she tell him anything.
Sagara seemed willing to talk though, even if she had paused to look at Lila first. Foolish, Morgaine thought as the cat told how she had met Lila. While she didn't plan to tell him anything personal, her normal backlash of comments spilled through before she could stop herself. "Let's get one thing straight. I have not been roped into your cause, I came because Lila wanted to talk nothing more." Her eyes floated to Lila and though she caught a warning look from her long time friend Morgaine could not take those words back, for they were the truth, she had agreed to talk to Lila, perhaps even said she would help out, but she had initially only agreed to help Lila, not the strange cat before them, that would take more than a few words to have happen. Gaze returned to the male and to try to smooth things over, for the benefit of Lila at least, she added. "As it stands right now I am neither for nor against your cause, I will decide that when I have enough information."

Notations thus far:
One: Sagara was not one to speak out of turn, nor one to deliberately question motives, nor one who minced words, nor one that seemed terribly volatile.
Two: Morgaine was most likely the opposite of almost every above detail.
Aaah, the sweet sounds of a challenge! He welcomed it after the docile coaxing he would have to continue to do with Barayas and Pixie.
"I don't foster any ideas of having either of your allegiances so quickly," he responded, mulling over what information they did give. "Or at all, if that's what you prefer. But I hold my general in high esteem, and if she chose you two to come then it was for a reason; therefore, I have no quarrel. Though," - he eyed Lila at the door with a small smile, "I find it peculiar she did not offer details before your arrival. Would you rather hear it from her mouth or mine?"

It she were the type to facepalm then surely she would have done so at this point of the conversation - Sagara was performing as expected, she'd learned early and young to sit down, stay quiet and do what she was told...aspects of her personality which made her an excellent soldier and while it was true she seemed to have given more information then she was required right now Lila also knew that Sagara had already deduced that such facts were perfectly harmless. Given a sensitive fact it's likely one would be better off beating their heads against a brick wall then attempt to get her to speak of it.
At Redeye's look and remark she glanced at the two cats she'd brought to him and then returned her look to Redeyes. "I would not presume to give away details of our endeavors until you had personally seen and approved of them yourself" In any case he was far better at selling the cause then she was.
"Lila once told me that in choosing the creatures you pledge to, one should be careful as their words then become your words..thusly as I know she follows her own advice and I know she has pledged herself to you then it doesn't matter which mouth states them...they are one and the same" Sagara remarked with a slight shrug, a remark with drew a nod of approval from Lila.
It seemed that quite on the downlow Lila had been nurturing..or at least working on a protege of sorts for quite some time now.

Morgaine bit her tongue to keep yet another snarky comment from popping out of her mouth. She owed it to Lila to at least give this a chance. And in a minor show of trust, even if it was strictly directed at Lila, Morgaine pulled her bow over her shoulder, with her weapon put away she glanced at Lila before returning her gaze to BC. Once again, Sagara was spouting off her answer like a good little puppet, clearly she had been taught many things by Lila, and in fact Morgaine had heard Lila say the same thing once many years ago. Funny how things like that happened.
Motioning with her hand towards BC she gave a little nod. "Why not humor us with the details then? Perhaps starting with your name." Of all the details for Lila to leave out, this cats name was a big one. Names were an extremely important detail, if nothing else they could lead to finding out more information about the particular cat if the right informant was found...or in some cases the right threats were made. But those facts put aside she wanted to hear his story from his lips, later she would talk to Lila in private and likely receive any facts and details that were left out, as well as confirm what was said here.

He inclined his head indulgently at Morgaine. "Redeyes is suitable as far as a name." No need to go through the mess of not actually having a name: best to let them all be on the same page from the get go with little "fat" on the meat of their conversation. "The cause itself is simple and split into two parts. On one end, I have found the human presence not only tiring, but unnecessary and even destructive to our world. On the other, this business of cats fighting over territory while under human oppression has also been a nuisance. While no wars have been fought yet, there is little point in our kind squabbling amongst ourselves when we have larger threats to overcome.
"I find there is a simple solution to both of those issues: abolish this notion of "territories", establish a single nation of all the cats in this city, and begin eliminating the human presence systematically. No longer would we have to live alongside the hairless apes who deem us their pets, and no longer would there be need for war." He paused to let them digest his words and voice an opinion.

She should have figured the name issue would come up - though at least he was smart enough to give them her nickname for him. It would certainly limit confusion and as she was the only one who used it Morgaine could search all she wanted and not find a scrap of information when she looked into it. How exceedingly cleaver..she was not surprised at all.
Still she decided to sweeten the deal for Morgaine "Such an environment would be rather ideal for carrying out your future goals would it not?" She asked her quietly, referring to her plans of regathering her lost order but keeping purposefully sketchy with the details to avoid irking the other cat. Redeyes wouldn't mind she knew and if he asked her later well she could tell him enough to keep him happy. Sagara she knew was not a problem..the other cat would fall in line however Lila wanted her to.
Sagara's ears twitched as she listened to the blackcat's plans - his name was not all that important to her in the long run. Names could be changed, faked..altered and running them down was often more trouble then it was worth when you already had someone like Lila vouching for him.
His plans though - his plans were interesting...sure it would put her out of work in the long run but surely this cat was plotting to put himself in charge of the others and getting in now would mean she stood a good chance of continuing to serve him in a fairly decent position later on. They'd still need some sort of force to keep everyone in line after all. She could see why Lila had called her in so early and nodded slightly. "I..think I like that plan" She finally asnwered after musing it over for a few minutes.

As the male, Redeyes apparently, began to explain his plans Morgaine let out a yawn, almost to saw she wasn't interested in hearing them and that they were quite dull. Still, that yawn was a cover, his plans did intrigue her, quite a bit actually. He certainly had a good idea going there, but she would not jump for joy and instantly switch to his cause just because of that. No, her cautious nature held her back from doing such a thing. Before she could say anything Lila's words caught her attention, ears flicked slightly. "Perhaps." She replied quietly to her friend. Indeed having a single united city to live in would help her with those currently lost to her...but, there was always a but...
Her eyes settled upon the male once more. "Well Redeyes, your plan does have one flaw in it, and it's a relatively big one. There will always be fighting. No matter how hard we try to rid ourselves of it there will always be those who rise up against others to try to take power." It was essentially what happened to her old clan. "While eliminating the humans is a suitable goal I believe you are reaching too far in your quest to unite all of the cats. Most will be willing to live in peace with the humans gone, but others, few as they may be, will be a constant nuisance. It is the natural way of all living creatures of fight even if there is no reason to." There she had been somewhat nice about it, which should please Lila, but she would not allow such obvious flaws to go unstated. With her thoughts shared Morgaine slipped into silence again, she had spoken more just then than she normally would, Morgaine was more of an action taker than a talker after all.

And then, for some reason, BC began to chuckle. There was nothing remotely humorous that had been said so far, and yet there was something, spoken or unspoken, that gave him cause to laugh; an inside joke none of the women in the room were privvy to.
"The natural way indeed," was what he said once his mirthful sounds had expired, though they remained in his congenial smile. He cleared his throat and continued on as if the break from conversation hadn't happened.
"Now, that was the precise reason why I said there would be no need for war, since there would be no individual territories to fight about - though you are sadly correct, Morgaine, in that all living creatures have an innate sense of violence and urge to create problems. By the time this union is created, however, there would be a force employed to keep these rows to a minimum. Those that crop up as continual nuisances would be dealt with on a case by case basis. And as for the more 'energetic' types, I have ideas in mind," he responded, his smile turning devlish.

Lila's eyes flicked to Redeye's as he laughed at some private joke, though in truth the joke - whatever it was - didn't elicit any interest from her..they all had their own private amusing thoughts now didn't they, though she was pretty sure his laughter would rankle Morgaine - ah well if they hadn't come to blows yet then they likely weren't going to. At least not today, not after she'd pointed out the usefulness of Redeye's plans.
Morgaine was smart enough to know that you didn't have to like someone to work with them..or even to find them useful. She wasn't going to count on trust for sometime to come..but maybe someday that would come as well. "In the process of uniting the territories I expect many of the future troublemakers will be weeded out..there will be clean up afterwards of course but that can be handled. Those born to such a peaceful society will be less inclined to rail against it and what few troublemakers arise can be quietly dealt with to keep the peace...such troublemakers do have a penchant for dangerous and accident prone lifestyles after all" She pointed out, such a fact wasn't new to any of them.
Sagara pondered over the words flitting back and forth between the cats, all seemed to make good points and obviously some details would need to be dealt with and ironed out along the way - but that was the beauty of a good plan, it was flexible enough to turn such roadblocks into opportunities. "It will be a long and gradual change I assume..something that will take careful planning to avoid a mass uprising along the way..if done right half the cat population won't even realize a change has occurred in their worlds until after the fact, aside from those few cats in powerful positions...most won't care or even notice as long as their everyday lives remained stable"

Eyes narrowed when Redeyes laughed. What the hell was so damn funny? If he thought that she had said was amusing in some way he would find an arrow embedded in his chest in a few seconds. But before she made any more to grab her weapon she cast her eyes upon Lila, there was no flicker of amusement or anger in the other cats eyes, clearly this laughter was nothing for her to worry about. Still, she was a bit irked about the whole thing. "Forced employment sounds like a good excuse for cats to rise up in revolt." Even if most of the population accepted such a life, there would always be a few that would retaliate back, and even if those few were eliminated more would rise up and take their place - it was a never ending cycle that could not be avoided no matter how much organization was put in place.
Morgaine could have said more, a lot more in fact, but the fact that she was remaining relatively silent now would show Lila, as the others didn't know her well enough at this point, that she was beginning to seriously consider the offer of joining this cause. She would still not trust Redeyes nor Sagara for some time, but the agreement to at least help for now, or until it became no longer desirable to do so was there. And one reason to help out, and perhaps to some extent a reason to eventually quit helping, was the restoration of her old clan to a certain extent.

What Lila had outlined was a possibility he hoped would happen on its own, yes. And if what Morgaine had pointed out seemed a problem, the black cat only shrugged it off. "Details that can no doubt be examined once the plan has succeeded," he said. "I would rather concentrate on its birth into the world at this point in time. Otherwise, we will never have to consider quelling rebellion since the operations would have fallen to shambles anyway.
"Now," he continued briskly, "I think that's enough talk for now. You both know what this group's goals are, and right now our task is to continue amassing sympathetic cats to this cause and begin training them. I have a need to follow up on an old friend to see if any of his companions are willing and able, among other things." He pushed his chair back and stood, straightening his tie as he looked to Lila. "Have anything to add?"
