No. 2nd seat in a division is the Lieutenant. As an E-rank, you would have been an unseated Shinigami. Just saying. You're newly turned, have just been turned, and have no training at all. For all intent and purposes, you just got admitted to the academy when you were turned. That's what an E-rank means.

Do not forget to edit your Bio. Read the main storyline: First, your character couldn't have been trained by anyone, let alone gone through the academy. You are E-rank, so you are starting out as someone who barely knows one end of the sword from another. Your age can't be beyond the Plague years, because no one except the autoranks survived that.

... If a Spiritual plague wiped out all but the four most powerful of each race five years ago, and couldn't have been in the Academy afterwards... where will all the other spirits come, such as the new Captains? As far as E-Ranked, that means his power, not his knowledge. He knows the pointy end from the handle, but he isn't as skilled as a D-Ranked.

There are only 4 captains at this time. There are no others. All the new spirits are the spirits of those who have died in the last 5 years. The plague killed all of the spiritual races this way, but the humans are likewise restricted for fairness. The academy years are sped up here for RP purposes. Thus, you would still need to go all through training. Your "skill" comes later, but everyone E-ranked starts out with no training at all. That's how E-ranks work.
