"Oh do you think so? Le' me see again, le' me!" Kana squealed, squishing her face up beside Áróra's. "Oh, it does! But th' web doesn' look like mine," she said, stepping away to show the other little her her own, special, bright red webs. "See? This is wha' I make!"
Paullie shrugged. "Maybe. I hope so. If not... I don't know what I'll do."

“Wow!” Áróra exclaimed in awe at the bright red webbing, “Your webbing is so bright red! I’ve never seen spider’s web like that before. Not even in my books! Is it all sticky? Can I have some?” She looked pleadingly at Kana while holding her thumb a short distance from her pointer/middle finger, since they were one in the same. “Just a little bit? Please?”
Laughing, he suggested, mostly as a joke, “You could always get her some exercise equipment, like a treadmill. If you can convince her to use it, maybe it would burn off some of that energy before she could use it for other things.”

"You wan' some of it? R'lly?" Kana asked, spinning a little and dropping it into the other spawn's hand. She didn't know how long it would last, but if her new friend wanted some of her blood webs then she could have some! "Here you go!"
"I live above a bakery... there's not really much room for that kind of thing," Paulie answered, serious because she had actually considered that a few times.

Áróra nodded eagerly and an open moth grin spread across her face as she replied, “Yes, please.” She watched in awe as Kana spun the little bit of web and dropped it into her hand. “Thank you!” she exclaimed as she brought the webbing close to her face and inspected it. With her free hand she pulled out a pink wallet with bunnies on it and then set it on a ledge, after opening it. Digging in another pocket, she pulled out a something small that was wrapped in tin foil. Carefully removing the tin foil, being sure not to drop the thread as she did so, she revealed a cookie, which she quickly wrapped a face tentacle around. Dumping any crumbs into her pocket, she set the foil down on the ledge, carefully laid the webbing on it, and carefully wrapped it up before placing the bundle in the empty coin portion of her wallet. Looking back at Kana, she happily proclaimed, “For safe keeping; till I can get home!” Holding the cookie out with her face tentacle, she asked, "Would you like half?
“Oh,” Vilyum replied, “well I imagine that might make such a thing more difficult. She doesn’t have any interest in baking or mixing dough does she?”

Not bothered in the least by the fact that she was being handed half of a cookie via a tentacle, Kana chirped a happy "Yes, please!" and took it, nibbling away merrily.
"No, just in climbing as high as she can," Paulie said, her frustration showing in her voice.

Áróra smiled as Kana nibbled at her half and took a big bite of her own. As she chewed, she scanned the spiders she could currently see. After swallowing, she stated, her face looking solemn, “Um, Kana, all the webbing I see here is white. I don’t see any spiders with red webbing at all.”
“I imagine that can be more than a handful; I’m wondering how much longer I have till Áróra learns to use her wings,” Vilyum added, a concerned look on his face.

"Oh..." Kana said, peering around and looking dejected for a moment before coming up with what was (to her) a plausible explanation. "Well maybe it's cause I'm not all spider. Maybe that makes it diff'ren'. An' maybe I'm jus' special!" she said, her good humor restored as quickly as it had fled at first.
"...I think I just became thankful that Kana doesn't have those, thank you," Paulie said, looking a little bit faint at the prospect of the spider-child flying around.

“Hmm,” Áróra replied with a smile, “you’re right! There aren’t any other spiders just like you! You are unique! Even if we do find one like you, you are your own spider!” She giggled at that. “That doesn’t mean we can’t keep looking though,” she added; she was having fun looking for spiders that might look like her new friend. “Maybe you are like more than one spider, and, um, what else are you?”
“Yeah, that would be something alright. The closest to a spider that flies, that I have ever seen, is one that glides. A flying spider would certainly be something,” he commented back, though he had to admit, he was at least a bit curious what that would be like.

"I... dunno what else," Kana said, tilting her head and thinking deeply. "But I got funny markings that don' look a spider's markings." With that she pushed up her sleeves to show off the interesting, tattoo-like patterns she sported.
"I don't think I ever want to see that," Paulie said, feeling another headache coming on just from the thought.

“Wow, those look neat!” Áróra exclaimed with a giggle. “Yeah, those don’t look like any spider I have ever seen. I have markings too! They glow!” She then pulled up her sleeves to show the other girl her markings as well.
“Yeah, that could be worrisome I imagine,” he replied before adding, “If you don’t mind me asking, what is she exactly? Genetically I mean.”

"Ohh, those're pretty!" Kana chirped, eyes bright and excited. "I bet they make you even tastier" She said, giggling and glancing over in the direction of her mother to make sure that she didn't hear her.
"I hadn't really thought much about it," Paulie said, shrugging. "Something called 'Reshmi' and... ah, Liberality I believe."

“Thanks,” Áróra replied with a smile and a giggle. The giggling stopped, though, at Kana’s second comment. “Um, tastier?” she asked looking down at her markings. “I don’t really think it would make me taste any different...” After a moment, she added with a giggle, “I can sense magic! Maybe I taste magical!”
“Oh? I haven’t heard of Reshmi, I assume that’s where she got her spiderlike traits,” Vilyum replied and then added, “You know, doesn’t the Liberality donor have tattoos that turn into wings?”

Kana nodded and clapped her hands - a challenging task, with four of them! "Yeah! Maybe tha's it! You taste all magic-y!" The spider girl chirped, her expression absolutely delighted.
Paulie paled for a moment, then shook her head. "No, no, I don't think she's inherited those... I hope she hasn't inherited those..." she murmured, her eyes wide and in shock.
