Slightly dazed, Lilith did not hear Sorano's awkward question at first. After a moment, though, it registered in her mind. She blinked, then shrugged again, laughing nervously. What did she want to do? To her complete surprise, the first idea that popped into her mind was to start kissing again, which made her train of thought roll right on into Make-Out-On-The-Beach Junction. Appalled at herself, she tried to shake her mind of such thoughts, but try as she might, they persisted and stayed firmly rooted.

"Um... I-I dunno..." Lilith rubbed the back of her neck. Oh boy. "M-maybe we take a walk?"

...Well, it was better than nothing.

Ah, truth be, it was better than nothing. So what after that Kiss of Fire? Sex on the Beach? Both are extremely delicious, unfortunately alcoholic drinks but make for better plans on what their namesakes imply. Of course, Sorano would go for any at that moment, he was already love drunk as it was.

Sorano grabbed her hand gingerly and laced his fingers with hers. A journey, to where on this coast would they go? Simply a walk, that sounded nice. Better than nothing.

The light sensation of Sorano's fingers intertwining with Lilith's was very welcome - surprisingly, more welcome than it would have been a few weeks ago - and Lilith smiled at it. Right now, there was no other place that she would rather be then right here, hand in hand with her beloved after her first true kiss.

A simple walk... A walk with Sorano down the warm beach, side by side. Where they would end up, no one knew. The meaning for this venture was partially the journey and partially with whom the journey was with. Slowly, Lilith began walking, still holding on to Sorano's hand.

...These were the moments that Lilith dreamed of.

The moment could not get any better. Like any chaos in the world to break up their wonder- KABUSH!

No, it wasn't a giant explosion from a Team Rocket mecha. No, it was simply just the giant splashes of several Wailmer and Wailord achieving flight for but a moment on the horizon. Didn't this feel oddly familiar? Like a certain other date such a use of elaboration was used? Descriptions are getting rare nowadays for roleplay!

Sorano sighed. He was still dwelling on Len. He wanted to get his mind off it again, but kissing his sweetheart would certainly make things a little too suspicious. He was still wondering if he should pay her or not. Was Lili even good at math? There was so little he didn't know!

"Ah, Lili, are ya . . . good at math?" he blurted. What an odd question! "Ah, ferget I even 'aid anythin'." A pause. "Y'know, I wish I hadn' had ta join TR jus' ta meetcha. I feels wron' ta know tha' on the next mission er' so, either ya or I 'ight y'know . . . die er somethin'. Lili, I don' want ta lose ya." I don' want ta lose meself either, really.

The sudden use of onomatopoeia made Lilith jump, being caught completely off guard. Her eyes widened and she had to suppress a yelp of fright that had threatened to come from her. It was only after a moment did she realize that they were not under attack. Instead, it was only the loud splash of several Water Pokemon in the distance.

"Huh?" This was Lilith's response to Sorano's out-of-the-blue question. She blinked in confusion, slightly furrowing her brow. "Yes, I'm sufficient in math-" She cut herself off at Sorano's odd request, and she lowered her eyes for a second.

Lilith looked away for a while, then spoke. "I know... How ironic it is that I met someone like you in such an unspeakable place." She chuckled bitterly, taking some time to gaze out at the horizon where the sea met the sky. She silently considered Sorano's words.

"...I hate being tied to TR like this. It seems like every day holds the risk of you or I being killed - I wouldn't be able to bear it. It makes me think back on why I really joined TR. Ugh..." Lilith sighed heavily and, without being aware that she was speaking out loud, wondered to herself.

"What if I made a mistake...?"

"Don' regret yer choice." Sorano said, nudging her with an elbow. "C'mon, le's stop dwellin' on such thing, 'kay? How's 'bout a swim? I bet I can out-swim ya ta' tha small island island ova' there!"

He laughed and released his hand from hers as he pointed to a secluded sandbar to the distance. "C'mon, it not be far . . . by estimatin', a ten ta fifteen swim . . . Ya can 'andle tha'?"

However, Sorano hadn't considered the distance. Far off, the clouds were rolling in and twisting into a terrible gray. A storm was arriving . . . was it a good idea?

Lilith smiled at Sorano as he nudged her. Damn it all, he knew how to cheer her up. Yes... She should not dwell on it and just let it pass on by. Who knew? A nice swim might do her good. Ah, but she did not notice the dark clouds rolling in from the distance, promising some kind of storm. The sun still shone and the sea still sparkled with the light of a mild, warm day.

Lilith smirked. "You're on. A swim could be just the thing I need." Slipping off her sandals and her covering skirt, she began to wade into the waters. They were much colder than she expected, and she shivered as she walked deeper in, but it helped clear her mind and hone her concentration. Of course she could handle a good swim.

"Alrighty, one twooo . . . " He paused and flashed her a smug little grin. "Three!" Off he splashed into the water, stinging of salt skimming his scars not even slowing him down. He was going to win this one! For sure!

Lilith grinned, a sparkle of excitement at the thought of competition, and at the count of three, she plunged into the salty brine just as Sorano did. The salt stung at her eyes, and she shut them tight to keep out any of the water. Her long brown hair trailed behind her as she quickly began to swim through the murk.

Gasping for air, she broke the surface and looked beside her at Sorano. A smirk creased her visage and she went back under. Oh, she was gonna win this one! She felt like she had the strength of Kyogre and the speed of Lugia!

Ah, Lilith probably was going to win this one after all! Sorano had become short of breath than, and threaded water to doggy paddled his way to the island. He was much to tired. Those weeks left in bed certainly drained what energy he could of had had he woken earlier. See what weeks of bedridden and laziness can do to a person? When he reached the shores, probably where Lilith was already, he threw himself to the sand and sighed.

"The weatha' can' be any more- huh?" The storm, as quickly as it was for them to swim to the sandbar, had already reached the outer limits of the shore. Thunder crackled and wind gusted, swirling the waves into a terrible currents. Rain poured and dotted the warm Sorano's skin with heavy, cold pangs. By Arceus, were they trapped?

"Hell!" he shouted to the air, pounding the sand.

Indeed, Lilith had already arrived at the isolated spit of land when Sorano came out of the water. As he did, though, the storm that had hung over their heads suddenly broke and unleashed its contents upon them. Surprised, Lilith couldn't help thinking that this was her fault - for a split second - for thinking herself to have powers of the Legendaries as she swam. Ah, the oddities of those tied to the old ways!

The cold salty brine of the sea seemed quite pleasant in comparison to the icy downpour that descended from the heavens. Lilith clutched her arms in attempt to keep herself warm and looked around madly for some kind of shield from the rain. Behind her was the only thing she could find: a large tropical tree with broad, green leaves. She quickly ducked beneath it, beckoning for Sorano to follow her.

"Sorano! Come on - it's dry over here!"
PostPosted: Mon Jan 31, 2011 7:09 pm

He followed in a steady rush and caught the shelter quick enough before rain began to really cry upon the land and open sea.

"Aha, we jus' got tha' 'orse luck." he breathed, huddling up beside her for warmth. "D'ya think it'll let up?"

By the signs of crackling thunder, the terribly shifting sea and grey, grey clouds; unlikely. That once heavy breath that shifted out his nostrils repeated itself as spine tingling cold tickled the revealing of every single inch of skin he had. Out of all days and times, why now? Was there a wild Lugia within reach seething up the seas? Was there that Mewtwo from the first movie swaying his hand about to madden the skies? Why!

Here, is where Sorano reclined to the sand. He starred squinted eyes to the pittar-patter of rain above to the leaves, sounding like pearls thrown to plastic. Would they ever get out of there?

Lilith did as Sorano did, lying down on the damp sand beneath their makeshift shelter. The unending sound of the rain plummeting to earth thundered in her ears, and the fresh scent of a tropical storm filled her nostrils. Lilith frowned. Why did this have to happen, and why now? Why when she with Sorano, in one of the moments that made life bearable, did they have to be trapped on this little sandbar?

"Arceus, this rain is awful. I think it might go through the night." Lilith sighed and laid her head on Sorano's chest, staying close to him to keep warm. What on earth would happen to them on this dreary night? Lilith prayed nothing bad would occur... That would be just what they needed.

"I wouldn' mind tha', haha." he laughed, draping an arm over her. "Tha' more time I have with ya, tha' 'appier I'll be."

There was something peaceful even in their unfortunate luck. Why, even in the swallows of a storm, two can still find comfort and peace. His mind was still stuck on Len. He couldn't get her out of his head still.

" 'ey, Lili." Sorano said, picking himself up to a sitting stance. "I've somethin' to ask of ya."

A pause.

"If . . . Look, if Len 'eally does . . . y'know, kill me . . . " A shiver ran down his spine. "If she 'eally does, please don' go seekin' ta avenge me, 'kay?"

Why?

"She be a good girl so . . . please don' hate her . . . ? Arceus . . . I'm sorry I'm bringin' this up . . . "

Sighing, Lilith closed her eyes as she laid her head on Sorano's chest. The pitter-patter of the rain against the leaves of their temporary shelter was makes her drowsy, and her consciousness kept threatening to slip away, leaving her to embark on a journey into the realm of sleep. When Sorano sat up suddenly, she was jerked out of her trance-like state and sat up with him. "What is it?"

At the mention of Lennyka and the possible passing of Sorano at her hands, Lilith shuddered slightly. Worry began to creep across her visage. When he was completed with his sudden statement, Lilith could not help but blurt out.

"If she kills you?! You really think that..." She trailed off, unsure as to whether or not she wanted an answer to the question she nearly asked. Instead, she paused for a moment, reflecting on herself. Yes... Yes, if harm were to come to Sorano - especially mortal harm - she would want to avenge him in any way possible, even if it meant she herself had to inflict harm. But could she really do that to Lennyka? Even if she did threaten both Lilith and Sorano before, she was Sorano's sister. And this was Sorano's request.

Lilith bit her lip. She had no choice. If it was Sorano who was asking her, she couldn't exactly say no. She had to concede defeat.

"...All right. If Len does... do that, I won't seek my vengeance on her. I can't speak for the rest of TR, but I won't harm her. I promise." A sad little smile appeared on Lilith's face and she looked over to Sorano. "After all, she is your sister, and you're my guy."

A moment passed, then Lilith spoke again, glancing off into the dark, stormy distance. "Of course, if you fall at the hands of someone other than Lennyka, I'll have to take action. But let's hope that it doesn't come to that."
