If I were you I'd suggest getting right on that. Matter of fact, call the local parts store and ask how much it'll cost to get an ignition switch. A 1999 Ford Taurus isn't exactly hard to get parts for.

Testicular Diabetes I hate Fords, they are a pain to work on. e.e You haven't had a pain until you've tried working on my car. majorspiker101 The talk with the gf went well she still hangs with her ex but there is nothing going on between them Or so she says. Either way, if she's being honest and up front, then that's good to know. One problem down, now if you can get your car fixed, you'll be well on your way to fixing the other ones.

My, my, my, what a mess we have here. Chieftain Twilight buy a tent, and some warm blankets. you can sleep in that while you work on building a hidden and warm shelter of another kind. my dream home is a Cave with a central wood-burning stove, a well-disguised and hidden chimney, and insolated walls. Hygiene isn't a big thing for you, isn't it? Or is standing in the rain considered a bath? Actually, it's spelled "Drano," with some sort of accent over the "a." I know, weird, right? I always thought that death by Drano would be an excruciating death. I mean the stuff is so caustic, you'd feel it burning out your insides and you would suffer horrifically in your last moments. I was brought by my own suffering to think a lot about it, lately, and I thought that if I was going to do it, sleeping pills would be the most peaceful, but the real point here is don't do it. I'd say that car is about the least of your worries (unless you live in the s**t-kicking boonies where things like public transportation (which is way cheaper, after you factor in insurance, gas, and maintenance) and that it borders on the idiotic that most people are so fixated on it, but if things get bad enough, it just might be your only shelter for some amount of time, so indeed it had best be mobile. If you can, of course, crash with a friend, but otherwise do take care of the car. With the aforementioned logical fallacy coupled with the fact that they are suggesting such drastic action with your girl, I'm starting to think that this just may not be the best place to come for advice. Apparently some read "beginning to suspect" as "caught them ********." As many people suggested throwing her out immediately as did... You know... Talking to her. Not that you should necessarily take her word alone, but throwing her out without discussion would be far, far more foolish.

Nothing wrong with a man having a healthy relationship with his car. It can be a truly romantic thing at times.
By the way, glad to hear that things are going better for you. Hopefully you can get those parts easy enough.

majorspiker101 I keep getting told life gets worse before it gets better, but how bad does it have to get to get better. I am about to get kicked out by my land lord cause i wont be his little b***h. My best friend wont believe me cause the guy wont do it in front of him. My girlfriend i think is only still with me cause she fears wat i will do if i lose her support. I think she is ******** her exboyfriend that is on her moms good side so much that he got me blocked from my girlfriends phone by her mom. And to top it off i had a car to use until it died and wont start no matter wat i do. So a nice bottle of draino sounds nice at this point.
Honestly... It sounds like what you're going through right now is pretty rough, & I'm incredibly sorry about all that, especially that dirty s**t with your landlord. ... However, MANY, MANY people live much harder lives. & no, I'm not just talking about the starving kids in Africa & all that jazz. There are a decent number of people on Gaia... a decent number of people currently in this guild... a decent number of people everywhere... who live notably -- if not majorly -- more difficult & unfortunate & HARD lives than the one it sounds like you lead. I mean, your life clearly isn't perfect, that's for sure. But if you feel like you need some assistance from people with how to deal with the problems in your life, then threatening to drink a bottle of Draino isn't the way to go about that. If you need help with your landlord situation or your girlfriend, just ask for help. Don't just b***h.
Oh, & get the ******** over your car. I'm sorry, but you're trivializing & degrading your OWN problems by implying that the fact that your car is broken is just as bad as your actual, legitimate complaints about life. That's just going to piss people off, because most people here can't even afford a goddamn car. Sorry, but, that's the truth. I'm 21 years old & I've never had a car. That's a luxury I've never even come close to achieving.

majorspiker101 Its that the car died that some of my issues appeared and the girlfriend thing got worse i probably have chladydia thx to her so yep its getting worse Sucks to hear, dude. Fortunately, it seems antibiotics might treat it, but I'd suggest going to a doctor to get more information on that subject. And by the way, on the subject of the car, to those who didn't think to pay enough attention to read into the issue properly: yes, it's because his car broke down that some of his issues surfaced (i.e. having to move closer to his workplace and live in a shitty environment with a landlord breathing down his neck), so logically, fixing the car fixes the rest. ******** public transportation; taxi services can be expensive as s**t and buses don't run all the time in some places, so even if a person took the bus to work, there isn't a guarantee that he'd be able to take it from if the bus service ends the day at, say, 4:00. Assuming he works a night shift, of course.
