I'm posting in response to the glowbug swarm idea, as promised! While Candice is still a very work-in-progress character, I would definitely like to include her in this kind of thing as long as you would have her. C8

Yay! I don't know how it's going to manifest. So I'll brainstorm.
I'm not really sure at this point how well Alphonse and Photinus will ever get along to even come up with the idea (they really don't seem to like each other. I think the only thing Alphonse "likes" about Photinus is he isn't wearing a shirt...). It might take a while to get to that point.
Maybe Candice will be the one at "fault" or something. I guess since she isn't completely cemented in your mind we can wing it with her. Or you can develop her based on what you want to happen to/with/result of her.
Or maybe it will just... happen. I guess for now we can just plan on patients meeting for the first time and seeing what happens from there, if you want?

Just to be sure I have my head screwed on straight, you mean it might help if Candice did something stupid to be at fault somewhere, and allow the other two to kind of bond through mutual annoyance? Because even if she's not concrete in my mind, I know for a fact that she would be capable of inadvertently causing trouble for people, so that wouldn't be too far of a stretch! > u>;
Either way I would be open to putting down some base RP to let her meet one/both of them; nothing has to happen straight off the bat, unless it just works that way. Again just smack me if I'm comprehending anything wrong. C8

Aha, Alphonse really doesn't like most people he meets -- right off the bat, anyway. He's definitely one of those characters that requires multiple RPs before he'll actually start acting friendly. I do think he'll be able to warm up to Photinus, but it will definitely take some time. ... and speaking of I really need to reply to that RP so we can see if their relationship improves any by the end of it. :'D
I'm not sure how the idea of the swarm will come about, exactly... but as another idea for a first meeting, Candice is an Illumise, which might make Alphonse think of his sister. Bonding through mutual annoyance sounds hilarious though! 8D
So yes, some base RP would be fine with me too~

Well I didn't mean like she did something stupid or inadvertent (though that could be fun, hehe), more like it's her fault because she suggested it. xD
Alphonse may just have to chase him down again, lol. And I am not sure how Photinus would end up thinking a swarm is a good idea. He started out as a human, more than that the foster kid everyone leaves in the corner. So he doesn't really know what it's like to have a family of any kind.
However since we're not sure yet RP(or plural) would probably be a good idea to get a better feel for how everyone interacts.
I'm sorry, I don't think this reply was much help. I should try to reply to these when I'm not dead tired. Dx

Ummm, Melo, about the RP... I'm... kind of worried about it. There's this... really uncomfortable sort of... vitriol? that seems to be escalating with each post, and I'm worried if it's Alphonse's fault that this is happening...
There's still the idea of Candice starting it, but I'm really not sure how the swarm idea will come up, with the way this is going. I guess I was just feeling really nervous about the whole thing and wanted to know what you thought about it...

Yeah, I'd been feeling it from the beginning so I figured it would iron itself out over time. Sometimes people just don't click, or maybe they need time to think over what happened. I don't know. I'm not sure if he would even be comfortable in a swarm of pokemon (or a clique of any kind). He might even feel more isolated. It's never come up before, he's never been asked to "join" anything nor included in anything. But it's a nice thought right? I don't see why the idea can't still be applied, even if he's not a part of it. If Alphonse feels more comfortable in that sort of group, maybe Candice does too, and maybe others do.

Hey I apologize for the lateness of this, I had a cluster of like 3 exams and a quiz at once and the world kind of got away from me... although as it is I see there might be some issues with this after all. 8( I should go read this RP you guys are doing for just background knowledge, I think.
If there's some new developments where this might not work out so well, it's okay, but I'm sure Candice would still like to meet her fellow glowbugs anyway. o: I'll probably add on to this after I skim your RP though because I feel like that would give me better insight...

No worries Col. I had finals over the weekend and I'm finally able to relax a little and think about things a little more. If you decide to read through the RP take your time. There's no rush. :3
I have this problem where I try to make plans for my characters and some of them act on their own. It's not intentional. I'd like to say that even if things end on a sour note with this RP, that maybe things aren't all lost. Photinus doesn't make friends easily, he's socially very awkward and shy. Also it's late at night in the RP and people can get grouchy when they're tired... xvx; <3
yes I'm making excuses. xD
