A white cat with orange splotches walked into the camp, carrying a bundle of herbs. Even though he seemed jumpier than usual, one can tell by his shifty eyes and more irregular pacing, he appeared oblivious to the newcomer until the putrid scent reached his nose.

"Oh... Starclan no! Everyone! Back away! What is he doing here?" Koisplash was rarely panicked or flustered by anything. After all, he as the medicine cat was exposed to all sorts of perilous and crazy situations. But the sight of the rogue made his fur stand on end and his usually placid face into a snarl.

"Please! He has to leave! Before..."

Cascadestar was awoken from her nap in her den by all the commotion outside. Both before Koisplash spotted the rogue and after. She stepped outside, found him hissing at the newcomer, and frowned.

"I ask the same question. What is this rogue doing in our camp and why is he eating our food?" Usually, she was more inclined to listen to Koisplash than anything the rogue would have to say. But she noticed lately that the medicine cat has been... paranoid? Not too long ago, he freaked out when she made a side mention of an ache of her joints, and though it's been long relieved by a application of poultice, he still hovered her. He was hovering over everyone actually, especially that Heartpool...

Willowstar came out a moment too late. She couldn't stop it. Willowclaw came up short. CascadeStar was talking. Willowclaw was just shaking her head. "I-i-i...I said he could s-stay the night." She was horrified that the cat she gave permission to stay would launch an attack... on her deputy no less. "But... Now he has to leave!"

Spitshine was coming back down from the mental state. He looked around at the horrified faces and knew... He just knew. He curled in on himself. He needed to look a bit remorseful...

Grimshadow nodded. "Can and will do, Wolfeye!" She twitched when she heard the loner ask. She was so used to Wolfeye's accent by now that she hardly noticed. She kind of liked it, in fact--it sounded very strong, very large, much like Wolfeye himself. She made her way towards the apprentice den to see if anyone was inside.

The sound of shouting outside caused her to whirl around instantly. Koisplash was standing at the entrance to the camp, a bundle of herbs on the ground. And there was Cascadestar, and...!!

The rogue had attacked Wolfeye! Grimshadow snarled and leaped out of the den. "Is this how you repay Willowstar's kindness?" she cried. "She lets you into the camp, lets you share our food--" She looked up at Cascadestar, suddenly aware that the leader had asked what had happened. She sat down and curled her tail around her paws. "Willowstar let this stranger into our camp," she murmured softly in embarrassment. "She said he could stay the night."

He had expected some sort of no-good from the cat. He didn't expect to be attacked. The Maine Coon watched as Spitshine plodded towards Willowstar and curled up none too far from her. It made him uncomfortable and he felt the need to talk this over with her, to see if they could have him move closer to the outskirts of the camp. It was when he was passing the loner that he was caught unaware and was bitten.

For a few tense seconds, he wasn't quite sure what had happened. He twirled to face the drooling, stinking thing and lashed out with his claws protectively. It was the voices of his leaders that kept him from completely jumping him. The bite on his side smarted something awful and he winced as he placed himself between Spitshine and Willowstar, his fur standing on end and causing him to look almost twice his size.

"Vhy you no gut scoundrel!"

He was too late. The rogue attacked the closest cat, Wolfeye. Koisplash's expression turned from one of anger to one of hatred and he fumbled to pick up the herbs he had dropped.

"I... I need to..." He dashed into his den, not even stopping to acknowledge Heartpool, standing by the entrance.

Cascadestar was furious. She was furious at Willowstar for taking in a rogue that didn't even look well in the first place. She was furious at the rogue for attacking the ones that tried to help him. She was furious at Wolfeye for standing too close to him. She was furious at Koisplash for obviously knowing something but not telling her or Willowstar. And she was furious at herself for preventing this from happening.

"Well there is no way he is going to stay now." She said, her voice lacking any inflection. "We are not forsaking our safety to shelter a cat that has attacked one of our clanmates. He leaves. Now."

Cascadestar approached the rogue, her claws and teeth bared in case he didn't get the message. She was so furious, she didn't even see that the rogue was looking remorseful.

Willowstar stared at the rogue. She wanted to cry like a kit for her mother... But she didn't . Willowstar padded forward same fluffed out state as cascadestar. "She is correct you have overstayed your welcome...."

SpitShine was terrified. He couldn't remember what he did exactly... but this is how all cats acted. He wondered which one he had infected... no mater... they would pass it on soon enough. Tail between his legs, he backed slowly toward the exit.

Willowstar flicked her tail. "Grimshadow... be careful... but please accompany WolfEye to escort this no good tom out of our land. Stay as far away as you can."

Heartpool followed him in to the den. "Koi-Koisplash? D-do you need... help?" He seemed to know something.

Grimshadow stood up at attention and nodded curtly to Willowstar. That's what you get when you let no-good rogues into camp for no reason! Hospitality or not, they always bring their troubles in! She had no idea how right she was. She turned towards the entrance to the camp and led the way out without a word.

It took every ounce of self control not to hustle the tom along roughly. He flicked his tail, a motion for Grimshadow to come with him as he nudged Spitshine towards the camp's exit, despite the fact that he was already heading that direction, away from the other cats. Oh, how he wanted to give him a piece of his mind. But he had to be proper. He had to set a good example. That was what he reminded himself as he grumbled.

"You 'eard zem, get. Go on, you aren't velcome 'ere any longer."

He had a sinking feeling deep in his gut. It felt as though something was wrong, off, but he couldn't quite put a claw on it.

Ospreychase watched with wide, worried eyes at the ongoings. His fur bristled and he was secretly glad that Spitshine had moved on as he had been told, instead of sticking near the nursery. It would have been horrible if he had been attacked, or one of the kittens! Still, he felt sympathetic towards Wolfeye. He doubted he would have the ability to keep himself from fighting the tom, if he had been in that situation.

The wind blew cold. And on the breeze came the strange piece of fabric. It hit the ground and caught on a twig.

Deathbug spied something odd as she plodded towards Patchpelt, to relay her odd dream. She paused momentarily to pick up the odd fabric that had blown into Thunderclan territory, then moved on. What an odd little tidbit! Hopefully she could make use of it in some way or another.

Spitshine flinched at his tone. He must have bitten the big one. He cringed mentally. He could have bitten the smaller one... but his half crazed mind would not let him be... careful. He waited until they were all outside. And then he righted himself and walked carefully toward the shadowclan border.

He did have a job to do... and WolfEye unknowingly had just been drafted to help. Spitshine looked unworried. He walked making sure they kept their paws off him before he reached shadowclan. He reached the border... Turning he nodded to them as he stepped over the border line. "Thank you for your hospitality... And your help..." With out a warning he launched himself over the border straight at GrimShadow.

1-miss
2-hit

With taking a few scratches and one deeper claw mark over his shoulder, he escaped into shadowclan territory.

Grimshadow nodded and fell back alongside Wolfeye. "Are you okay?" she murmured softly so that Spitshine wouldn't hear her. She wanted nothing to do with the vicious monster, and she didn't want him hearing her, either. "I mean, you look okay, but are you sure you don't need to see a medicine cat?" They were headed towards ShadowClan territory. Pah. ShadowClan. They could surely deal with a violent rogue. ShadowClan was practically made of violent rogues! If rogues could attack clan cats, why couldn't half-rogues and half-Clanners?

She was so lost in worry over her Clanmate, speculation at how ShadowClan might deal with Spitshine, and anger at the rogue that she wasn't prepared for his attack. She shrieked as he bit her in the shoulder. With a snarl of rage, she slammed her heavy paws against his shoulder, hissing in satisfaction as her claw dug deep into his shoulder. She scratched at him until he released her and ran into ShadowClan territory.

Shaking all over, she screamed at his retreating back, "Go on, get out, you bloodthirsty coward! Let's see how ShadowClan likes you, probably welcome you as family!!"

Alright Wolf and Grim get back to camp. Once they get back and tell the leaders what happened.... We will move on to the part two.

Wolfeye dropped back slightly as Grimshadow spoke in soft tones. She sounded concerned and he supposed she had a right to be. There was no telling if that mangey scoundrel was carrying anything. The bite stung, just as most torn flesh wounds did, but otherwise he thought he felt alright.

"I'll be fine. Mayhap I vill have Koisplash take a look at it."

He paused as Spitshine headed towards the borders that separated them and Shadowclan. He hoped they found him and ripped him a new one. This was only increased ten fold when the pounced the warrior and bit her. He fluffed up and shot forward, stopping on the border's edge.

"Show your face here, mouse-droppings! I vill show you a thing or two!" He practically howled with anger, but didn't pursue him. Yep, he sure hoped Shadowclan would shred him to bits.

"Come, ve both see Koisplash. Something is wrong in 'is head." He rumbled as he turned and plodded back to camp.

Sue had been carrying a still dripping fish back to camp when she heard Grimshadow's yowl. Some pain in the sound, yes, but mostly indignation, anger. The member of her new clan was not terribly hurt. Yet the little cat dropped her catch anyway, and before the silver prize hit the dirt she was away. Her legs were a tad stunted from malnutrition as a youngster, but Sue was fleet. She covered the distance to camp with a speed that could match a Windclanner.

Drawing up short, Sue padded more cautiously into camp, her fur prickling uncomfortably along her neck as she caught scent of blood, as well as the sour tang of fear and anxiety.

Asking no one in particular, she quietly breathed the only words that came to her. "What happened here?"

As Wolfeye's large form retreated towards Koisplash's den, Sue shivered. For the first time, the deputy's bulk and strong manner did nothing to reassure her of Riverclan safety.
