"Well, at least I don't fight like a silly ol' frog!"
It was definitely hard to keep on acting as though he was angry. Her laughter saw to that and he cracked something that was like a cross between a scowl and a grin, his pale eyes narrowed as he lunged to meet her new attack, throwing his weight into his attempt at blocking her with his too-big paws. His tail was wagging and his tongue lolled a bit.

A frog? A frog?! How was she fighting like a frog? did frogs even fight? Now he was just being dumb.
She collided with him and fell into a giggling heap, only half-heartedly trying to get him now. "You're dumb," she said, pawing at his face, trying to get a n** in at his paws. "You wanna be friends?"

"You're dumb!"
Her laughter was infectious and the pup found himself snickering as she barreled into him and he tipped over. He nipped at one of her ears, aiming to tug it, and pawed at her, but any real aggression had vanished and he found himself actually enjoying himself for the first time in some while. This was fun!
"Sure, Mah-ha-hu-kee~" He chuckled, purposefully mispronouncing her name as he got to his paws and shook out what dust and dirt had accumulated in his fur during their little romp.

She stuck her tongue out at him. "You're all dirty," she pointed out, and a devilish glint came over her eyes. "Do you know how to swim?"

"Pffffffffff! Of course I kno----Okay, no, I don't." He grinned challengingly, but fell off as he finished his response and instead plodded towards the water. Too bad, he sort of wished he could, but he wasn't exactly keen on drowning himself simply to one up her.
"D'youuuuu? Cos I am going to learn. Gonna be the best swimmer for moons around." He bluffed, bristling, but more with excited glee than anger.

That devilish gleam in her eye flashed once again, and in a smooth motion she jumped forward, paws outstretched, to shove him in. "You can learn now!" she squealed, tail wagging, still thoroughly enjoying the game -- oblivious to the fact that she may have just taken things entirely too far.

There was some luck with Rainfall that day.
Of course, he didn't know that at the time. All he knew was there was a flipping feeling in his stomach as he tumbled forward and was met with a very cold rush of water that clogged his nose and stung his eyes. Oh, also he couldn't breath. That was the scariest part of the entire situation. Well, that and not being able to control exactly where he was going.
The orange and blue pup floundered frantically as he struggled to the surface, gasping and spluttering as he greedily sucked up fresh air. His silver eyes were wide with fright as he scrambled desperately towards the banks, the force of the river pushing him downstream.

Oh...oops. He really didn't know how to swim at all, did he? Whining a little, she watched him, the whole situation no longer funny. She pranced uncomfortably on the bank for just a moment before -- without thinking this through very well either -- the pup jumped in after him. "Hold on!" She yelled, and then was sucked under by the current.
She bobbed back up, flailing just slightly less than he was. She coughed, paddling messily, and tried to see the orange and blue pup.
