Sin smiled at her comment, flicking his tail side to side for a brief second. He hadn't heard that before, and was amused slightly. He turned his head to look at the vixen, smiling fading at her name. Ah, he had never heard it before, a odd name. Nothing simple like Mary or Jane. However, he liked it, it had a nice ring to it. He opened his mouth to respond, however his head jerked up as he heard a lone howl in the forest, and then three more join. The male flicked his eyes to look at Lamia, head still raised.
"Wolves. They know we are here." He said, lowering his head to look at Lamia. "And I do believe they are hungry."

Lamia stretched luxuriously, as though she had all the time in the world. "Wolves are always hungry," she responded. In the dark, with all the mist and those pure black eyes, it would have been quite hard to see the flicker of comtempt that ran through them. Apparently wolves weren't ranked very high on her interest list.
She bent and separated the rabbit head from the body with a few quick bites and a pull and left it to rest in the small pool of blood that had drained from the animal. If the wolves were following a blood trail then this would stall them. Possibly even stop them, for it was such a small prey item and they would be wary of challenging more hunters. Besides, Lamia wasn't much fond of animal heads and tended to bury them, uneaten, with the rest of the bones from her meal.
"I can easily outrun them." She looked at Sin. "You'd best point me away from your coveted land, if you do not wish me to trespass. When I run it's to go far and fast."
((*pokes* Can I have her be the faster and more agile of the two, since Sin's the strongest and toughest?))

((Sure! I don't mind. He can be the brute, she be the speed.))
Sin's ears flicked, tail jerking to the right, left, and then at her. "Anywhere but forward." He mused, however completely ignored her as the howling suddenly stopped. Wolves were stronger than most foxes, and speedy. He was focused on the woods, suddenly tensing, muscles flexing as he lowered to the ground.
"Best get running, girl. They are slowly making a circle around us." He said before turning to grin at her. "Go ahead, run." He wasn't taunting, or even bragging. In fact, he truly was trying to get her out of there. His changed path of life made him slightly more compassionate, but barely. Maybe only by a one percent.

Lamia gave Sin a measuring look. Was the fool planning to stand and fight? Rather than waste time arguing with him she plucked up the carcass and made a dash into the forest.
((Sorry for short reply, but Lamia's next actions depend on how Sin reacts to the wolves.))

Sin sighed as she darted off. Good. She wasn't in the way, or going to get hurt. Maybe he himself could flee, now? However, his one step was stopped as a circle of wolves entered the clearing. Five of them, perhaps six, Sin wasn't going to count. All he knew was that they were staring at him, and hungry.
"It's not often a wolf graces a fox with their presence, even rarer that one tries to eat a fox, but I doubt your little clan here has little manners." Sin had known a half wolf, half fox brat once, but it wasn't always that wolves got along with foxes. Sometimes they fought, and sometimes barbaric wolves tried to eat foxes.
Like now.
One wolf raised their head, looking where Lamia had run. Sin growled in his throat, flicking his tail side to side. They were smelling her carcass. Fine, he would attract their attention to him. He bit into his arm, drawing blood. Immediately the wolf turned his head to Sin, snarling at the male. So, they weren't going to talk? Fine.
So be it.
Sin dodged as a wolf attacked, however only barely managed to slip under as another one attacked. His tail lashed out, tripping one wolf and his fangs bit into the leg of another. He was out-numbered, but he wasn't going to die without a fight. He had fought two wolves before, but five? Well....
The tank of a fox dodged another attack, slamming himself into a wolf and grinning in twisted delight as he heard the wolf squeal slightly. Ah, the sound was rather....perfect.

A low, gutteral growl filled the clearing, so deep it recalled animals long dead and gone from the world. It was hardly loud enough to be heard, and echoed in a way that made it impossible to exactly.
It lasted for only a breath. Quiet as it was, when it suddenly vanished the silence seemed to echo. One of the wolves at the edge of the pack, not directly in the fighting, whined and turned his head to glance at the trees....and was blind-sided by a snarling bundle of white fur.
Lamia had a special ability to deepen her voice, which was really just a matter of practice. She could make sounds that seemed to big or deep for her, and used this ability as a fear factor. She had to, for someone of her size needed every advantage she could call to muster.
She knew better than to try to actually fight the wolf. Instead she latched sharp teeth into tender ears and scratched at eyes, jamming the sharp edges of her bracelet into as much tender face flesh as she could reach. The whirlwhind of violence was brutal, but lasted only as long as the growl before Lamia launched herself away, weaving through the pack as a white blur and laying into another fox.
Her goal was to distract, to cause pain and to blind so as to drive the wolves away, or at least give Sin a chance to do some proper damage. The snarling quieted to a deep gutteral growl that sat in her throat.

Sin snarled as he heard Lamia's own dark snarl, however it was not out of anger. In fact, he was amused, even appreciating her arrival. Her growl left the dark male with a twisted grin. She had just received some respect from this male, his tail lashing back and forth. Her growl and attack had scared the wolves, and he took his chance. He landed on top of one distracted wolf, and bit into it's throat, ripping frantically. Blood dripped onto his muzzle, pooling around the beast. He leapt away, grinning at the other wolves.
One had fled, its fear of Lamia strong enough to send it fleeing. Another snarled weakly at Sin, looking between Sin and Lamia. One had frightened and attacked its comrades delicate points, another had killed another comrade. It fled, darting in the woods. Two were left, one lunging at Sin, the other at Lamie. Sin crouched, slamming himself into the wolf and sending it rolling, biting into the wolfs ankle that was attacking Lamia and snapping the bone. The wolf screamed, twisting and biting Sin's shoulder. The male tossed the wolf off, growling darkly.
"Welcome back, Lamia." He growled, barely dodging the wounded wolf, however slamming the creature into a tree. The non-wounded one lunged after Lamia, letting out a roar as it did.

Lamia didn't take the time to answer; it might not have even been possible for her to do so. Her eyes didn't flash but rather absorbed light, growing darker and seeming to even grow in her face. Though she'd only done superficial damage so far it had been bloody damage, and her face was liberally streaked with the crimson fluid.
Bloodlust was her best weapon....and her greatest weakness. She wasn't Lamia, she was a beast. Reasoning, tactics, all of that went out the window. However...
The last wolf met her eyes, and faltered. Fear flashed in it's face for a brief moment, and then she was on him. Her entire body curled around his head and neck, tearing into him. By the time Sin had finished dealing with his own challenger, the face of Lamia's wolf was more bone than flesh, her fangs buried into it's throat and cutting off any air while her claws continued to rake any flesh that they were met with.
Life had already fled from the wretched creature, but Lamia was still caught in the bloodlust. She paced over her kill, growling while some little voice in the back of her mind tried to recall her to her senses. In this instinctual state she couldn't yet be reasoned with.

Sin disposed of his enemy quickly, tossing the creature aside. His eyes flicked to look at Lamia, tilting his head, cheshire cat returning. "Ah." He sat on his haunches, not approaching her, knowing best not to. He had known of a male that had blood lusts attack back in Cruor, he knew it was best to avoid them.
Cruor.
He waited patiently for her to calm down, to be able to thank her properly. His tongue lapped up the blood on his muzzle, grumbling in his throat with pleasure. She had assisted him in killing wolves, and he was grateful. She had earned his respect.

Lamia whipped her head back and forth as though in some kind of torment. She was slowly regaining her mind, but it was taking everything she had to hold her body in place. It wanted to run, to rip and tear into flesh and bathe in blood until the horrible lust was sated. She snarled and forced her head to the ground, doing her best to ignore Sin lest the instinct overpower her. Silently she cursed the long-dead spirits of her old clan.
Her head ground into the dirt and her eyes were squeezed shut, muscles tense and claws digging furrows into the ground. She roared, an actual roar like the sound of a beast crying out in frustration. The sound continued, slowly dying as she emptied her lungs and yet kept pushing. Finally, as darkness gathered at the corners of her eyes and threatened to pull her under to a different world, she breathed.
Gasping, her body unable to focus on more than the life-giving air it had so desperately needed, Lamia was able to regain control of her mind. She remained in her tense position though, gasping air and making sure she was entirely under control again. An involuntary shudder rippled through her. It had been a long time since she'd done that...

"Lamia." He called, tilting his head. Ah, she was like Odi, thats right. Odi? He had left, like everyone else. Left with his mate. Left without ever coming back. Like they all did. He shook these thoughts aside, regarding her calmly.
"Perhaps you need water?" He mused lightly, flicking his tail absently. He eyed her carefully, measuring how far he could run if she attacked. No, she didn't seem like she would attack him. He believed. He jerked his head to the side like a bird once more, ear raising before he stood and brushed against Lamia, attempting to get her attention, padding ahead.
"More wolves have heard what we have done. Perhaps we should carry on before they arrive."

Lamia jerked as Sin touched her, but this time for an entirely different reason.
She had grown used to thinking of her mind as two separate wholes. There was the vixen she always strived to be, though most would consider her darkness, stoic disposition, and joy in corrupting innocence something of a minus rather than a plus. And then there was the demon.
That little voice in her head.... She couldn't have said if she'd been born with it or if it had been planted there by her clan, but she'd always been aware of a much darker nature lurking in the shadows of her mind. She would even go so far as to say it influenced her "normal" personality, minus the darkest and violent pieces.
Lamia had separated the two personalities so thoroughly that it really was like the demon was it's own being. It tried tempting her to give in to it a time or two, but she was strong enough to resist. Only when spilling blood, for the reason of spilling blood and not for food, was when it became too difficult, her mind too close to what that thing wanted her to do to resist when it took over and directed her.
And always, always, that demon would lust after the blood of foxes that were unfortunate enough to be near. Lamia was proud to say she had gained control of herself before she could act on those impulses; the only foxes she had ever needed to kill was her clan. But, this...
Lamia panted lightly, the physical and mental battles taking a toll on her body, and looked at Sin with the mingled emotions of curiousity, suspicion, shock, and wonder. What was he?! The instant he had touched her the demon quieted. Gone quiet, yes, but she could feel it had gone a step further than that; it accepted him!
Never, never ever, had the demon reacted like this to another. It was like the pack of wolves they had so recently slain, as through the demon thought of Sin as a fellow pack member and therefore not to be killed.
Lamia stood, mind actually scrambling to get back in order after the battle for control had suddenly just vanished. She couldn't even bring herself to make a quip about Sin's water remark like she'd planned to. "I suppose we should," she said, voice quiet. Her mind went to the rabbit carcass she'd stowed in the bushes a short run from here, but she felt no desire to retrieve it. It didn't really matter anymore.

"Then I will lead us to a lake." He mused, eyeing her. She was different now, she was quieter. Curiously he peered at her, deciding to leave her to her thoughts for the time being, during his back on her. He flicked his tail, a sign for her to follow, and began to trot off into the dark of the woods, listening to the forest around them for more traitorous sounds of wolves or any other predators that might smell the blood of the recently trashed wolves.
He didn't look back to see if she was following, but had a feeling she was, bringing the vixen to lake he had spoken of before. The male stepped to the side, lapping up water before turning, jerking his head to the pond.
"Here, drink. I suggest bathing as well, to rid yourself of the blood scent."

Lamia had followed a couple fox-lengths away from Sin until they had reached their destination. Though winter months tended to be cold at least the forest here wasn't too bad. She'd rather be cold for a little than deal with the sticky and messy process of blood drying in her fur then having to wash it out after.
She didn't stop to drink from the edge like Sin did, but rather waded out into the water until it lapped against the top of her chest. Curious fish, drawn by the scent of blood, nibbled lightly at her fur until she plunged her face under the water.
Lamia opened her mouth and allowed a little water to go down her throat, not minding the slight tang of blood that came with it. Already the fish were returning to nibble. She thrashed her head to the side, to help spread water through her fur to clean it, then lifted her head.
As she suspected the slight bite in the air was a tad unpleasant in her damp state, but, as she trudged back to the shore and shook the excess water out of her coat, she would be dry in about an hour.

Sin himself had bathed away from Lamia, giving her privacy. When she returned he padded out of the water, shaking the water loose from his own damp fur. Cold, the air bit into his skin. The large male settled onto his haunches, tail wrapping around himself and head cocked slightly, listening. Good, the wolves were not nearby.
He eyed Lamia, something was different. His ears flicked slightly, dark eyes narrowing. Was she plotting? No. She was faster than him, he had noticed that much, if she wanted to flee she could have already. His tail flicked lightly, sniffing the air. It seemed safe for now.
"Thank you for your assistance earlier." He said, breaking the pregnant silence. Why had she helped, now that he thought about it. She could of escaped just fine, Sin had ensured that. And yet she had returned. Perhaps it was lust for blood, or the need to kill, or maybe she was attempting to help. No, the first two suggestions seemed more likely.
"Why did you return though?"
